Hey everyone,
The small but passionate team behind the Usenet Providers Map is back with a major update!
After countless hours of research, design tweaks, and community feedback,Ā Version 2025-02-23Ā of the Usenet Providers & Backbones Tree is live! š

The latest update to NZBGet introduces three major improvements designed to enhance performance, usability, and automation.
These changes are part of an ongoing effort to make NZBGet faster, more reliable, and easier to use.
Are there any indexers other than Geek that publish the available subtitles in the API?
This is super useful information to include so if other indexers could include it also please do :)
Also if anyone has access to Geek support and can mention the space at end of “subs ” to get it fixed it is difficult to use as a filter as it is :)
Thanks
Just a heads up to anyone in Australia getting poor speeds or not meeting their expectations.
I’ve always used Newhosting and once I switched to fibre 1 gigabit down I could only ever receive around 65MB/s down at absolute best. My system was more than capable, with bandwidth showing 110MB/s and the rest of the hardware showing 400MB/s+
I read countless discussions of people with similar experiences in Australia, if anything I was getting a better experience. And when I started my own discussion the verdict was I won’t fully saturate a gigabit connection in Australia.
I tried many different providers but everyone else was actually worse. I got absolutely flamed here and on other discussion boards for it being my config and hardware
Yesterday I looked into it again and thought I’d try Frugal. Instantly, I was pulling 110MB/s down with their Sydney server (I’m in QLD)
So just an FYI if you’ve been trying to saturate your gigabit connection
I just got into US and I said I should get Frugal since itās US-based, figuring itād mean faster speeds for me here. I tried Eweka, and even though its servers are in Europe, Iām getting better speeds, maxing out my connection, while Frugal lags behind. My ISP, setup, NZB client, and downloads are all the same between tests. I thought distance would matter more for Usenet, but maybe itās network issues on Frugalās end? Curious if other US users have seen Eweka outperform like this.
This is the feature I use the most on Plex to watch anime with my friend, Iām pretty sure if they implement it back next itās gonna be a paid option.. sucks.
About an hour ago, my plex account was accessed by some jabroni from Russia. They changed my password and my email address as soon as they got in. Thank goodness that plex sends out an email with the email address change with an option to revert to the prior email address within 7 days. Iāve gotten my account back, changed the password and enable 2FA for future logins.
I just wanted to share and recommend 2FA for anyone else that runs a plex server. Keep your account safe!
Absolute insanity that they’re removing this feature. “So what, I never use watch together” you might say. That’s not the point, the point is for those who love and rely on this feature to watch shows and movies with friends and families across the world, this will be a devastating loss of entertainment and connection.
Are there any functional alternatives to this from other competitors or clients, or do we have to go back to the dark ages of “1 2 3 play” again in the hopes shows and movies are synced again.
While this isnt my main client obviously, every once in a while i still use my Star Wars Edition X360, and when i do i see if the plex app still functions. So weird seeing it, in some ways i prefer the simplicity of the old ui
š¹ I can ask my AI assistant (Home Assistantās voice integration) to shuffle a random episode of any show.
š¹ It can automatically turn on my Apple TV, set the right input and volume for a particular show, and start playing.
š¹ If I pause a movie, the lights slowly brighten. If I resume, they dim again.
š¹ Movie night? Home Assistant detects when a film is playing and turns on Hue Sync for an immersive experience.
Itās one of those things I didnāt know I neededā¦ but now I canāt go back.
If youāre into automation, check it out and let me know what you think!

Also curious, anyone else using Home Assistant with Plex? What are you using it for?
Itās fairly crude at the moment as it has to parse the stdout from the command line tool, but Iāve developed āiplayarrāwhich runs in the background and presents itself as a newznab indexer and sabnzbd download client. Iāve tested with a few shows and this very early alpha version works with very few hiccups!

If anyone has any tips or suggestions theyāre absolutely welcome.
This keeps happening. My understanding is that it should “fail” these downloads and they should be deleted if I have selected:
Fail Downloads: Executables, Potentially Dangerous
Am I getting confused?
https://github.com/Sonarr/Sonarr/pull/7397
Edit: for the sake of clarity. I am not asking my downloader to block downloading lnk files. I want sonarr to fail torrents which have lnk files as per the github above
Just want to make sure I’m not wasting time trying to fix shit on my end if the program itself is busted at the moment. Is flaresolverr working for everyone else right now?
I’m not sure if the issue is related but I recently migrated from NordVPN (š¤¢) to AirVPN and everything was setup and working fine prior to this. When Flaresolverr starts up, it does its little “test” successfully, but within Jackett, every tracker is returning a “The cookies provided by FlareSolverr are not valid” error. I’m no expert but I don’t think it’s the VPN causing havoc, as I’ve tested both split tunneling jackett+flaresolverr outside of the VPN, as well as testing it with the VPN turned off altogether. Same results.
I’m at a loss here, and unfortunately there’s not even any alternatives for Flaresolverr as I do not run docker. Anyone got any ideas?
edit: oh and I’ve also navigated to the trackers in a web browser and searched ā¦
Hi Everyone,
I have a movie database around 20TB and i have recently upgraded my media system to include aTV and soundbar that support Dolby Vision and Atmos.
I have used the trash guides notifarr to update all of my profiles and custom formats in radarr, however im not sure what to do now to get radarr to upgrade all of my movies to the new verrsion with DV and DA support.
Ive read and apparently it does it automatically but i dont see a setting anywhere that explains it.
my questions i how can i set radarr to upgrade all of my movies to the new formats if available and when it does so get it to delete the old version so that i dont double my storage use?
Many thanks
a side note i would also like to eventually download a 1080p copy of everything so that my family can watch from their phones, how would i go about getting this setup too?
Thank you for your help
I recently migrated to the docker container, so I’m finally on v4. Some new specials for The White Lotus popped up for me today. However, “Specials” don’t appear in the series view, so I can’t unmonitor the “Specials” season. Any clue what I can do? I could obviously unmonitor the episodes, but I don’t want to have to do this every week.
