I knew Plex was changing it’s source for movie posters and I thought it would be a neat but non-essential thing they’re doing but god I didn’t think it would be this bad. It makes every movie in my library look like straight to video Stephen King films. Literally every film that I hadn’t changed myself previously now has the worst posters I’ve ever seen. This is page 40 of postersdb level.
I have to go through almost every movie in my library apart from the ones I changed myself and change them one by one. What a goof up. Some of them are in other languages than the films they’re off. Is anybody reeling from this?
Last year there were a lot of posts when NVIDIA increased the simultaneous encoding limit on consumer cards from 3 sessions to 5 sessions. Whilst perusing the support matrix yesterday I noticed that this limit has been upped from 5 to 8 encodes on consumer cards - and on the few low-end Quadro/RTX cards that also have the driver limit.

I haven’t seen any other posts on this yet. Has anyone actually seen this change in a driver update and installed and tested it with transcoding yet?

What has been your experience?
Is anyone experiencing too many incomplete downloads with Eweka, Newshosting and other Omicron/HW based providers?
Feels like people are more prone to post to Usenet using UE providers, since these incomplete downloads are all finished by articles only found there.
I’ve been seeing a lot of reports lately especially on bigger packs. It seems the way to go is O/HW unlimited + UE block
Hello, I have Frugal Usenet, Sabnzbd, nzbgeek, 1 Gig fiber home internet connection, and about to buy some drives (Possibly ironwolf?) What will be my biggest throttle? Also, if it matters. 32gb ddr4-3200mhz ram, i5-12600k CPU all on dedi server.
I assume that most of you know about these, but some new users may not.
Animetosho: Anime Only indexer. If you download any anime, it’s a must have. It allows you to set up for automation with Sonarr.
Kleverig: Free Porn indexer. You will need to wait for registration to open. They do not do invites. Cannot be automated.
NZBking: Free Usenet search, no automation. The search itself sucks but the results are good, especially old stuff. Found many items not found on the most popular indexers.
The Trash guides have very detailed custom format/profile guides. Though it’s also very opinionated against x265 for 1080p content, with the argument that the quality is trash. I personally don’t care about the x265 vs x264 quality argument, as the space savings are well worth it (3GB vs 600MB for a single TV episode).
For me, I have a decent amount of shows where I don’t care about quality (I download them for users who couldn’t tell 480p from 4k). So for these shows, I want to prioritize x265 for the space savings. I want to make a tier list similar to WEB 01, 02, 03 but specifically targeted for x265 release groups. Does anyone have suggestions for which groups should go in here? I’m looking mostly for good consistency with subtitle support, and toeing the line right before massive quality drop. I’ve found that MeGusta usually has acceptable quality and frequently includes subtitles, but that’s just my anecdotal experience. I still want to …
Similar to my post in /r/Sonarr, but for radarr.
The Trash guides have very detailed custom format/profile guides. Though it’s also very opinionated against x265 for 1080p content, with the argument that the quality is trash. I find it hard to discount x265 though, as the space savings are very impressive for very little quality drop (3GB vs 600MB for a single TV episode).
I want to make a tier list similar to Trash’s tier list (WEB 01, 02, 03, bluray 01, 02, 03, etc) but specifically targeted for x265 release groups. Does anyone have suggestions for which groups should go in here? I’m looking mostly for good consistency with subtitle support, and toeing the line right before massive quality drop. I have some groups I gravitate towards for having consistently good quality like Tigole, but that’s just my anecdotal experience. I still want to have the idea of LQ groups followed by tiered quality groups, but I want it to be relatively ranked for release groups …
I think 2-6GB for a two hour movie is completely reasonable and I’m happy with the viewing experience. The quality jump from 4GB to 20GB for me isn;’t that noticeable. I realize this is a controverial stance.
I’ve reviewed Trash’s guide, and have a decent understanding on the Quality profile logic. However, I can’t seem to tweak it well enough to just not have it download 20GB movies. Is it really reasonable to lower the MB/min to 80 max? Am I insane?
Thank You!
Hey again everybody!
I want to start this by giving a massive thank you to everybody that interacted with the last post, gave Profilarr / Dictionarry a try or left some valuable feedback either here on Reddit or by leaving an issue on GitHub. It really means a lot to me :)

Profile Selector
With the comments from the last post, I noticed that the flowchart was quite confusing and not well implemented. I’ve scrapped it and replaced it with the Profile Selector, which I think will scale a lot better and be a bit more user friendly. I still need to improve the language used, and add a …
I currently have a 4K Radarr instance send everything to HD Radarr in case the 4K does not grab anything, it would grabs it in HD. But I am now getting concerned because people are just requesting 4K like crazy and so I end up with two versions.
I am thinking of disabling the import list and just have people request either versions first.
How is everyone else managing this. Would love to read everyone’s work flow.
EDIT: I am using Overseerr configured with both instances of Radarr and both for Sonarr
