So like most people on here I have an indexer and provider(s), I download nzb files, and then load them into sab and get my linux iso files.
My question is: how do I browse text post or groups like back in the day? I’m not even sure what software to use, agent seems dead and I have no idea how to get thunderbird to work correctly when it comes to usenet. Thanks!
Been using Usenet for a number of years, started getting emails today from Usenet crawler (recent indexer) with this message. Has someone found my Api code and trying to access it?
Never seen a message like this before and unsure what it is?
email contains a link to grant access but if course haven’t clicked it. any ideas?
edit: issue resolved
So i signed up for the newsdemon match during kings day, was looking to diversify from Eweka and the data privacy concerns I’ve been keeping an eye on. Hasn’t really gone well. NewsDemon availability is frankly crap. I’m hitting only 71% over 4.5TB/9M articles in the last month. I don’t think it’s ever fully completed anything by itself.
However their speeds were amazing for me. I was getting 580 out of my 500mb connection on US West coast, so while not great from for completion, it would snag a fair amount of a dl quick and Eweka would fill it in around 440mb/s.
Until last week. I’m now getting 24-75mb/s (75-95% drop). Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve checked connection count, priority, etc.
My content patterns haven’t changed. I automate nothing and grab stuff on a whim so I doubt it’s me, and I have many of the mainline indexers (slug, geek, .su, althub, rasa, planet).
I can transcode, remote stream and see all my files. Plex has been solid for years.
(thought it would be a nice change of pace)
I’ve been a Plex user for 10 years now. Started off with a laptop and 500 GB drive.
In 2018 I bought an 8 TB drive thinking I’d never see it’s end.
2024 we installed a new 18 TB drive because the 8 TB was old and at 95%. Aside from it taking 15 hours to copy all my content over, once I turned Plex back on it synced up.
Here is to 10 more years of my version of stamp collecting.
EDIT: Added my PC Build for the curious. It’s a Plex server/gaming PC.
I just bought a new pioneer 50 inch TV and I can’t play my personal media. Is there anyway around this other than getting a Roku or other external device?
Disclaimer: I am a total noob at this stuff
How can I change language preferences in Sonarr Version 4.0.4.1491? After years of putting off the -arr suite, I decided to take the plunge on my home server and am learning the ropes.
I thought I had had Sonarr setup but I woke up this morning to see 212gb of German audio American Horror Story on my hard drive! How can I remove this from my file system and ensure it doesn’t happen again?
I just recently released v1.0.1 of my app, renamarr, adding support for both radarr and sonarr
I keep my audio/video codec information in the filename and use tdarr to transcode my files after import. I never really had an automated way of keeping file names updated. So I created renamarr :)
renamarr will use the Sonarr/Radarr API, to analyze files (update mediainfo), check if an episode/movie can be renamed, and if so, will initiate a rename.
There is a built-in hourly job if desired. If you prefer to schedule with your scheduler of choice, you can disable the hourly_job via config, and the script will end after the first execution.
I’m fairly active on GitHub, so if anybody has any feature requests or bugs to report, they are always welcomed.
I see a boat load of the same titled post here, but none of them seemed to resolve this for me. Just got into radarr/sonarr a few days ago, and while I’ve had a little bit of success, it’s not been functioning as well as I had hoped. I’m assuming it’s a setting I have, because I never came across this much trouble manually downloading torrents before getting into the arrs.
Sticking to sonarr, 4⁄5 of the downloads I initiated didn’t work. 2 of them stalled, and 2 of them say they’re downloading, but they never start. I have minimum seeders set to 30, but still I get nothing. Any ideas?
I have a radarr docker image that has quite a few missing things that need to be downloaded. A little over 4000 to be precise. Is there a way to queue these up over time, or should I have radarr just search for them all at once, add them to my downloading tool and let the other tool handle the “over time” aspect of it? Is there a better way to do this?
Edit: Thanks all!
I’d like to retroactively add the tvdbid to all of my series folders, and I was wondering whether this was possible in Sonarr, or whether it would have to be a manual process
I know I can change it manually through the ‘Edit Series’ option, but I’ve got a fair few series to change so would prefer an automated solution if that exists
EDIT: Typically after spending an hour looking at it, and then finally creating a post I find the solution
First change the Series Folder format in Settings > Media Management
On the Series view, click ‘Select Series’ along with any you want to rename, and then the Edit button at the bottom of the page.
Change the root folder (it can be changed to it’s existing one without issue) then hit Apply Changes and Yes, Move the Files
