About 12 hours ago my client started getting logins rejected with error 482 returned ‘account suspended’. I presumed this to mean I’d hit my data usage limit. Surprisingly early but ok. No problem, I’ll go buy another data block.
But now I see the website and dashboard is also unavailable. So I’m wondering if this is a broader issue and others are impacted?
Just found out Plex has updated its Privacy Policy page and added a new page to opt-out trackings.
https://www.plex.tv/about/privacy-legal/
https://www.plex.tv/vendors-us/
Up until now all your playback data may be involuntarily sent to ad agencies and companies such as Amazon to silently influence and target your buyings. Now we can opt out everything and keep your watch habit private and treat your plex server like never existed.
EDIT: now you can also easily access privacy settings and delete all already uploaded watch history, and stop syncing watch states, rating etc. Remember to set all to private if privacy is important to you.

EDIT2: also double confirm “Send playback data to Plex” is unchecked.
Hey, r/Plex! A few years ago I published a list of optimal Plex settings to disable for privacy-conscious users and recently updated it to add some of Plex’s newer settings/privacy options.
A direct link to the post with screenshots and detailed instructions is below, but for those who’d rather not click through to another site:
Feel free to let me know if I’ve missed something!
I recently just started my Plex server sometime late last year, and am slowly getting the hang of it but I’ve finally decided to upgrade to the Lifetime pass and I’ve never been more satisfied. For what it is at the moment, especially in my currency which is MYR, it is a no brainer to not get the lifetime pass. This is especially true with the new price hike in April, so I’m just glad I did it before that!
They have it all.
I swear this isn’t some sponsored post lmao, I’ll always be loyal to Sonarr. I’m just surprised I haven’t heard of this before as someone that’s struggled with getting Sonarr to sort and recognize a large chunk of their library. I definitely recommend this in addition to Sonarr for those that care about their Anime library. 9⁄10 from me.
Edit/Shoko TL:DR- open source, self-hosted software for managing, sorting, organizing, etc anime libraries. It does not download series. But it can track/load info through AniDB and watch folders to import new episodes.
The point of this post is to make anyone with NSFW/generally large anime libraries aware of this super helpful tool. That’s it, not sure why all my comments are getting downvoted
I’m currently developing an alternative to Sonarr/Radarr with some additional features, including:
I’d love to hear which features you would like to see that I haven’t mentioned? Any pain points with Sonarr/Radarr that I could address?
So I heard recommendation of Profilarr earlier this week and replaced my Recyclarr setup with it.
So far I love the GUI and the fact it auto pulls new configs etc…seems great!
I also prefer the scoring, seems more realistic and measured rather than trash guides +10,000 / -10,000 approach.
My max score now seems to be 600 and a lot of existing media clocks in at the low 500s and has upgrades available.
My previous setup I was using unmanic to convert to x265 which I have now stopped altogether as once I considered it space it not really an issue for me (I can get old HDDs from work)…
So now I literally just pull media exactly as Profilarr recommends and that’s it.
This has meant that I am now redownloading almost every film in my library (sigh)…I know it’s probably not noticeable but it bothers me if it’s not the correctly scoring release so I’m just letting it chug away.
Am I mad or should I not have bothered doing a full search …
Just kept getting logged out of it when I close my browser. Tried it on base chrome and firefox. I disabled the auto delete of cookies in firefox just to test it out but I am still being logged out.
How can I let the arrs signed in on my pc without disabling the authentication?
I have created an Apple TV app that displays information from your Sonarr/Radarr/Plex servers, such as Now Playing, Coming Soon and Recently added. Plus Trivia & Quotes screens. I am looking for testers before I release it to make sure it is ready-for-primetime. If you are interested in testing it, here is the link: https://testflight.apple.com/join/5CNmdgWH Any feedback is appreciated.
