I love Plex. I am a heavy android tv user. Primarily on shield TV but also on some other amlogix Android TV boxes and the plex app on android tv has some very old bugs that no one seems to be doing anything about …
Other than those bugs, one of my biggest feature requests is the ability to control what libraries my shared users see in their sidebar rather than them deciding this themselves.
Almost 2 years ago, I made this post about some scripts I wrote to help automatically setup a number of things to help run a fully automated Plex server, and I believe it was fairly well received and now has nearly 200 stars on GitHub.
Well, I decided to completely revamp it using some new knowledge I gained about Ansible and now it can be run on nearly any platform and supports many more features out of the box!
You can check out the repo here: https://github.com/ahembree/ansible-hms-docker

My inner hamster has awoken. Time for some massive hoarding.
Hi everybody. I created the website https://whatsmyuse.net based on the work that /u/alamoudimoh did a couple of years ago with his spreadsheet. Hope its okay I did so.
the spreadsheet by itself was a pain to use especially trying to remember the url And it is not very shareable.
It is mostly up to date but I am tweaking things here and there still but it is usable now. you can contact me on the site for updates and changes as needed but I don’t think stuff changes that often.
thanks for looking.
Hi all,
There’s nothing like the smokey goodness of a Pastrami sandwich. Long considered an icon of the classic Jewish New York deli, this delicious sandwich has made it out of the boroughs to delis around the world. Lucky you! National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day is January 14, and our mouths are watering just thinking about how we’re going to celebrate.
Not in the ability to search for a deli that can make you the perfect Pastrami Sandwich? Here is a recipe to make the perfect Pastrami at home:
https://toriavey.com/toris-kitchen/homemade-pastrami/#recipe
Be aware that this will take up to +/- 120 hours to make.
As of right now until Friday the 21st of January (14:00 CET), you’ll get a 30% Pastrami Sandwich discount!

Not sure what Blue Monday is but I got the following email from Usenet.farm
Hi Framers,
It’s Blue Monday and we want to make you feel a bit better by providing a better price for a couple of days.
So this means 35% off on all our packages until 2022-01-17 (UTC) with the coupon BM2022.
Thank you for your support and good luck this Monday!
Your friends at Usenet.Farm
Hopefully this is useful for some of you who missed out on Black Friday and Boxing Day sales.
The title says it all. I don’t use Usenet for “file sharing” but I am interested in archiving the text Usenet. I previously used a provider with something like 3000+ days retention but when it comes to the text Usenet, they barely had a year’s worth of articles.
I installed NZBVortex on my Mac back in 2020 and paid for a license. The app works great, but they have not updated it since 2018. There no Apple Silicone native version of the app.

Is it better to have one container with radarr, sonarr, and the other arr’s with sabnzdb or have separate containers?
Looking for advice from anyone more experienced than me who keeps multiple copies of movies (4K and 1080p for example). I’d like to keep lower-res versions of all my movies so they can be more easily streamed.
I’ve read about having multiple movie libraries in Plex (- a “Movie” and “4K Movie” for example) but I’m not sure how you’d set Radarr up to do this. I saw the guide to make cloned Profiles in Radarr when syncing two instances but I’d quite like to have full control over quality, profiles and custom formats on the second instance.
I’ve read about having two instances of Radarr and syncing them but this advises only for a few movies whereas I’d like to do this for almost all of mine.
Could anyone offer any advice or examples of how they’ve made this work?
I know Plex supports multiple versions of the same film in the same folder but how does something like Infuse cope with this? And how would Radarr deal with this?
I personally tend to find I agree more with critics than the general audience. It’s the one site I use to find out how good a show might be before I waste my time investing in 5+ seasons or something.
