What would you guys recommend? What do you enjoy the most these days?
Edit: answered! Thanks all
Hi all,
At StingyUsenet, our guiding philosophy is pretty straightforward: keep the prices low (but not too low) and keep the freebies to a minimum. It is the secret sauce that helps us stay, well… stingy.
But once in a blue moon, someone on our team gets the “generous” idea to run a discount. We fought it tooth and nail, yet here we are offering 30% off. Do not ask us how it happened; we are just as baffled as you are.
Still, if you enjoy a cheaper subscription, this is your chance to soak it up. You will get the usual StingyUsenet perks: reliable access, plenty of newsgroups, and fast downloads, all at a price you can brag about. Feel free to pat yourself on the back. We will be over here, quietly lamenting how much money we are losing.
As of right now until Monday the 14th of April (12:00 CET), you’ll get 30% discount!

I’m looking for a new newsreader for binaries to replace Newsbin which i’ve been using for decades. When i try to search for one, the results i get are for servers. I already subscribe to 4 servers. What i’m looking for is a newsreader that i can set up those servers in to search for binaries. Can anyone help?
For anyone wondering the case is the JMCD 12S4.
This post mirrors one I made over on the Plex forums with a few edits for clarity. I’m posting it here since Reddit’s audience is bigger and the Infuse trick might help some people.
I’m saddened by Plex’s trajectory. I’ve used it for a shockingly long time (since the 2010s?!) and since then, it’s been the first app I installed on any new device after my password manager.
I won’t summarize the issues with the iOS app here since they’ve been discussed extensively.
TL;DR, anyone who has spent even a few minutes with the new app knows it’s unusable and will take months/years to fix or even reach feature parity with the legacy app. This is a Sonos-level fail. If Plex was a bigger company and self-hosted media was more popular, I’d expect this to hit tech news sites.
I work in software, directly with dev teams. These apps are unfinished and these guys were scrambling on basics. There’s usually just one reason that goes GA: …
Hey r/radarr community! - GIT: https://github.com/plexguide/Huntarr-Radarr/
Released the 3.0 Huntarr-Radarr with major improvements and new features based on your feedback.
Huntarr-Radarr is a companion tool that automatically searches for both missing movies and quality upgrades in your Radarr library. It runs quietly in the background, processing a configurable number of items per cycle while respecting your indexers with built-in throttling.

prefix for clarityThe title. I know the preference is h264 due to a lot of release groups re-encoding for h265. I am looking to recover storage space for material that others watch.
My plan is to mimic the Trashh guides and make Tiers but beyond MeGusta is terrible I don’t know a good way to prioritize
The ones I have seen when searching are: QxR, Vyndros, D3G and Tigole.
I’m new to all this as I’m paying with the different *arr to setup my new Plex server.
The goal behind setting up Plex is to stop paying for streaming services basically which combine cost me close to 800$ every year.
I’m familiar with torrent and have properly setup a test run with some public indexer and Qbittorrent. I understand some, if not most all of the private tracker require to maintain a ratio which you can get by letting the system seed. I’m not sure how easy it is to maintain a ratio on private tracker vs. public but this is a different story.
Where I struggle to understand is Usenet. I did pay a 6M subscription with on to test it paired with SABnzbd. It populate, but not download because I don’t have news hosting which is where I was confuse. The goal is to save money, but all these service cost something from NZB to news hosting service.
Could someone ELI5?
