So I scrimped and saved (ok I skipped a few nice lunches) and finally got the bag of my dreams.
A TB Paramour in burnt sienna. With the little baggies and accessories. It was perfect on paper and even better in person.
I got it for work. Needed to lug a 16” MBP. I used it for a week and when the weekend rolled around I realized that my work doesn’t deserve such a fine bag. I enjoyed it too much on the weekend.
I love this bag. I moved my work gear back to my old Thule Subterra. FML.
Ever bought a bag that is too good?
This is just a snapshot of some of the packs.
HS Canvas, Challenge Ultragrid, X50, Challenge Ecopak, and more.
Saw some success getting a large handful of redditors into the group buy this time. Hoping to see a full reddit group buy sometime in the future.
My Daylite 26+6 has finally arrived today and I couldn’t be happier! Very excited to use it in my next trip. I love the smell of new bags 😂😅 Now my collection has this baby and an Osprey Farepoint 40L! Super happy with it!
I have invested in new merino wool shirts - one is 95% merino, the other is 100%. I wore one out hiking one day, came home, and instantly my husband said I stunk. The worst part was I did a smell test myself and couldn’t smell anything. I smelled my pits - nothing. But when I took off my shirt and asked my husband to smell it, he said it stinks so much he pushed it away. I took a shower, came back to the shirt after some time, and at that point I could tell it stunk.
I wore the 100% merino shirt biking, came home, and my husband again said it stunk. I didn’t even sweat very much in this shirt (it was an easy bike ride), so I was surprised he said that. Again, I didn’t smell anything when I did a smell test myself, it was only when I came home and my husband smelled the shirt that he noticed it.
Point is, I don’t think we should rely on a pit test for these shirts. We’ve been living in them and can’t notice what others notice. I’m disappointed I paid so much for these shirts that …
For me, its this folding titanium spork. Dont ask why, I think i was either drunk or high when I bought it. But it works, so I cant complain. How about you all? Anything weird you bring with?

Gear strategy
Depart with personal item sized one bag. This allows to take domestic flights without paying extra for luggage. Upon arrival, use the packable daypack within the main bag for hikes, city exploration, etc. Upon main return flight, use the packable daypack for souvenirs - as 2 piece luggage is allowed.
Hi everyone, I’ve gotten a lot out of this sub and wanted to give back in some small way by sharing what I’ve found trying a bunch of different pants. I’m about 5’10”, 180lbs, and my main priorities were stretch for athletic activities, durability, and travel (packability + odor/stain resistance).
What Didn’t Work
We’re in a bit of a halftime zone right now, the first half of spring is in and available now (get those Littlebigs while you can!) while the second half doesn’t really start rolling in for a few weeks. But you know we love to experiment so here is something different. We recently stumbled across a few size sets of old products that are never coming back and decided it’d be interesting to put them up on eBay and see what happens.
The Ramienorth is never coming back because the factories hate working with it, the quality varies too much on the roll. But the stuff that makes it out of production is damn nice, heavyweight yet cool and dry with tons of air flow. Snag some off the bay while you can.
The Freeways are never coming back because Schoeller is shutting down. Not entirely, but the part that counts, the weaving mill in Switzerland, is closing in a month or two. And no one weaves four-way stretch doubleweaves like Schoeller does, no one. We’ll see if that expertise migrates …

The ultimate in lightweight merino versatility in a near-perfect t-shirt. The natural performance of 16.5 micron top-capped merino (75%) is intimately blended with bioremediating Ciclo poly (25%) to create a drier and more open merino fabric. Merino naturally thermobuffers to stay comfortable in a wide range of temperatures, but this weight and blend is a true year round daily driver, wearable from the peak of summer to the depths of winter. Cut Two is our box cut, squared out with broad-shoulders and a high neck.

A dry and slouchy linen/cotton hoodie experiment [#517]. The Easy/co Linen fabric is midweight with a dry hand, perfect for spring days, summer nights and autumn layering. Cut extra wide and off-the-shoulder with a kangaroo + matryoshka pocket.
I recently purchased a pair of the new dungarees and it appears that it as a very long break, causing it to rest heavily on my shoes and bunch slightly. Is this normal? I personally think it looks strange.
The first picture are the slim dungarees and the second are the new.
