I’m looking for a controller like the image with the letter buttons on the left and dpad on the right or a way to get a customizable one
Budget is 250max
Country is United States
Compatibility is pc but if there any ones for ps5 and switch that would be good
Playing single player games
Similar to Xbox or ps5 controllers
Disclaimer: I purchased this controller and all modules with my own money.
Hey everyone!
I’ve been putting the ZD Ultimate Legend through its paces for a while now. The hot-swappable stick modules are one of the coolest features of the UL for me, so naturally, I went down the rabbit hole and tried pretty much every stick module available - well, at least all the TMR ones.
So, I thought I’d make a quick review with my impressions and thoughts. Hopefully, this helps out anyone who’s on the fence or trying to figure out which modules are actually worth swapping in.
Just for context, I spent about two to three weeks running a pair of each module model (pun intended) before swapping in the next ones, while some of the older modules have been in use for quite a bit longer. Of course, I recalibrated the sticks after every module swap, as required.
I’m also keeping this mostly about hands-on feel and subjective impressions rather than getting too deep into measurements and …
Hey everyone,
A while back I tried my DualSense controller for PC gaming, mostly to mess around with the adaptive triggers and haptics. I quickly realized the state of PC software for it is kind of a mess: you either rely on Steam Input (which is great, but abstracts away raw trigger effects and requires Steam running in the background), or third-party tools that went the closed-source / paid route or wrap heavy web runtimes that eat 300MB of RAM just to send a few HID packets.
I spent the last few weeks putting together **OpenDSZ**—a lightweight, completely open-source (Apache 2.0) controller manager written in Python/Qt, distributed as a single standalone executable (no installer, no virtual drivers required for basic trigger/light control).

What it does right now:
I bought this custom dualshock 4 board from Aliexpress for a soldering project, it’s a GP2040 based board but there’s next to no documentation online for this specific model. Some of my research has led me to bilibili but no other custom boards I’ve seen have connectors beneath the sticks, and I’m wondering what those, as well as the other points are really for. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, i am from the UK (GBP)
I am looking for a controller that does not exceed £50 from my laptop.
I was originally looking at a controller from Razer that costs £180. However that is way out of my budget.
I then found this controller that is within my budget plus it has multi platform compatability, 5 vibration settings, anti slip, anti joystick drift, 750mAh battery life, and eliminates physical damage.
I will be playing games like Aniimo, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering Waves, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Rune Factory and Harvest Moon.
Just received my 8BitDo 64 controllers today and honestly, it’s dreadful playing GoldenEye with them and many other games. I really hate the analog sensitivity… It’s way too high. The stick feels like it maxes out at 100% digital speed before you even hit the outer gate, so trying to aim a crosshair or just aiming in general is an absolute nightmare.
I plugged it into my PC to tone down the sensitivity curve in 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2, and that’s when I noticed the trap.
The Bluetooth model literally has a “Joystick Calibration” button right on the main screen.
My 2.4G Wireless model? Absolutely nothing. Just a useless “Firmware” tile.
There are zero deadzone sliders, zero curve settings, and no calibration options whatsoever. And my controller is already sitting on the latest factory firmware (V2.03), so re-flashing it does nothing
Why the hell would 8BitDo give the Bluetooth version app calibration, but leave the 2.4G version, The …
What is your go to packable backpack? I have two that I go to the most. I always loved the Matador 16L packable. It’s light and pretty damn comfortable for what it is. I like how it has separate pockets and a little organized. I also love the Maatador Refraction Pro Pack Hacker edition. Wish it was 18L though. Now they have released the updated version and it is 18L. I fickin love it. It fits so much better on my back. Having the two extra liters goes a long way.
However, my favorite of all time is the Aer Go Pack 2. That damn thing defies all logic of how a packable bag feels. It is so damn comfortable! I stress the comfort. It is 20L and has my favorite feature, the kangaroo pocket! For a dad on the run, the roo pocket is f’ing clutch! I know this one doesn’t fold up into itself, but i think they take up less room laying flat on the bottom of your bag or suitcase.
I also dont mind the Go Ruck packable bullet, but there is no pockets on the bag at all… If i am wanting the pack into …
I got this Peak Design Everyday Backpack 20L from a thrift store and I was wondering how to remove the ‘LendingClub’ logo safely. Not sure if heat would damage the coating on the exterior but I’ve heard heat guns could work.
Anyone had any luck here? Worst case I’ll use gaff tape or a posca pen but ideally I could peal it off somehow
Just got done with a one-bag trip to Japan, Tokyo specifically, where the heavy rains really came down hard.
I now understand why people use their second water bottle pocket to hold an umbrella. My next bag will definitely have a double water bottle pocket so I can store a small umbrella.
For reference I was using a Aer TP3 Ultra. Even with the Ultra being amazing some water got my passport a bit wet. Still worked amazing considering the heavy rain and high winds.
I even like this brand, don’t use anything from them but I’ve tried a few things and it’s nice stuff.
This is just borderline insulting.
Hi everyone! This is Alfred back again with my thoughts after trying out an LTT backpack the first time. This time I am testing a new material variant being released - waxed cotton and I had the green 20L unit for two weeks, mostly using it in an urban every day carry setting.
Before the start of my testing, given the LTT brand name and the product being marketed as a commuter pack, my expectations were mostly on the side of easy convenient access to things on the go, combined with some heavy emphasis on tech gear carry. I would say it delivered on some of those points, but there is still some room for improvement in others.
The backpack has been provided to us by LTT for review, but all opinions here are my own.
Materials and build quality
The new material being waxed cotton, is not something that I am familiar with. I quite like it though over many of the popular technical fabrics on the market, it feels smooth to the touch and does not look overly technical, nor does it feel …
Just wanted to share a one bag I did to challenge myself earlier this year: six nights in Tokyo in February. I’ve done Japan with both a 30L bag for three weeks and a 18L bag for two weeks, so I figured something tiny for one week was doable. It also helped that Tokyo is the land of convenience and that I was staying at the same hostel for all six nights and didn’t have to worry about traveling around. I was really impressed with how much I could fit in my MEC Kleversack, it’s listed as 6L but with the roll top and straps maxed out I imagine I squeezed out an extra litre or two. With the limited clothing I brought I was able to make six different outfit combinations (I did laundry mid week), but in the end I caved and thrifted an extra dress and shirt.
It was a fun experience, especially going through airports with such a small bag, but I think in the future if I ever want to do another challenge I’d stick to something closer to 10L, it’s always nice to have some extra space for …
International travel for me always resulted in maxing out my checked luggage weight, just shove everything in ‘just in case’. Always thought one bagging was not feasible option for me, I’m into photography now and everything weighs a lot, what if I wet out one pair of shoes and need the second or third pair. After some different phases in life, and a bunch of experience doing near-ultralight hiking, I thought I’d YOLO and try out one bagging - for five weeks, with the lowest carry-on weight limit of 7kg.
I initially purchased a Kathmandu Litehaul (V2/V3?) 38L, as it was on big sale and reviews were good. After spending another month umm-ing and ahh-in and looking at the reviews of LATAM budget carriers being super-strict on sizing, I realised the Litehaul was slightly too big and would be a risk. I needed to get something that would guarantee I have zero trouble at the airports where I don’t speak the language.
I then bought a Patagonia Mini …
Settling in into my onebag options. This setup is work travel for a week including 90min flight and back, two days of trade show. Northern Europe which right now is not cold, somewhere between 10C at night to 18C in the day. Windy with stormy and rainy patches, so it is a bit of a challenge.
I don‘t like to overstuff, so all of this might have worked with a CPP2 but TP3 in the cabin is never a problem. Sometimes, I have a Toshi sling for the iPad, but didn‘t feel I need it this time, especially running around all day with need for bag space. Should checkin go completely wrong for whatever reason (weight…), out comes the nanobag tote as a personal Item.
The TP3 is a great bag, with minor quirks. A point for contention is the front pocket that won‘t fit anything much, but I am fine with that as it doesn‘t increase the profile of the bag. I don‘t use any of the interior pockets and sleeves as different bag almost every day when home.
So the rough loadout without going too much into …
Hey all, my wife and I will be traveling to Italy later this year (mid to late December) for 11 days. This is our first time in Europe, and it will be my first attempt at onebagging internationally. I’ll need to do some research into the weather around that time and cities we’re planning to visit, but if anyone has any thoughts on what else I should pack or leave behind, I’d appreciate the tips and insights for packing (and recommendations of places to go and visit!)

Hi! I wanted to share my experience with the Cotopaxi 50L with a 9 day trip to Switzerland. This included 5 hotels, multiple trains travel, bus travel, and plane travel. I’ve seen some conflicting posts and wanted to share mine.
TLDR: Would buy & would suggest with the caveat of figuring out how the bag best fits you. Absolutely use packing cubes.
What I packed:
Tops: 7 shirts, 1 sweater, 1 rain coat, 1 heavy coat, 1 flannel, 1 nice dinner dress, sports bra, regular bra
Bottoms: 2 jeans, 2 hiking pants, 1 gym shorts, 1 travel pants, 15 underwear, 3 hiking socks, 7 regular socks
Shoes: hiking boots, Nikes, heels, Birkenstocks
Other: charger, plug converter, sunglasses, sunscreen, soaps, brush, water bottle, crossbody purse, hat
Pros:
-I really loved how I could move around my bags based on the day. If we were hiking, I would use the small top pouch with everything I’d need to hike and store my heavy coat on the bag. If we weren’t, I’d use my purse for my little things …
I absolutely love my new XPAC CTB26, and while I have not experienced any of the back digging issues commonly expressed with this bag, I have notices that it seems to be lopsided. No matter what, I am always having to adjust the straps so it doesn’t ride higher on one side when wear it. Has anyone else experienced this? Or could this be a build flaw in mine?
3 day trip.
- MacBook Pro 14 and 11” iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard
- Matador Packing cubes for clothes and toiletry supplies
- Cap 0.5 for charging brick and cables
- not pictured inside mesh above packing cubes - rain jacket, above mesh - reading glasses. Quick access items (Passport, wallet, AirPods, snacks carried in an Arc’teryx Mantis 2 cross body bag
Currently have a cpl24, love the bag but definitely would love to have the extra space and external water bottle holders with the CTB26. Saw that they did a limited release in ultra and it is a material I definitely would love to try. Given how much I like the cpl24 and have been wanting to give the CTB26. Unsure though what the overall consensus is on the CTB26, I hear it can be slightly more uncomfortable (have no issue with the cpl24), and things like the white interior and absolutely the price are off putting. Idk, for those that like ultra, do you think it is worth giving it a shot or pass? Other option I’ve been considering is the Aer Travel Pack 4 which is significantly cheaper, just unsure if I would like it as much as I like my evergoods pack.
Please note 😅 this would be an edc, I pack like a dad and want to be ready for most things and I def feel I can max out the space. Should carry lighter but uh, doubt I’ll do that anytime soon. If I got the 26, might use it as a personal …
Anyone looking for a smaller version of the CPL24, but bigger than the CPL16?
I have a CPL24M as my daily driver for the last three years, but recently I feel that I can fit all my daily carry into a smaller bag. I still need the dual laptop compartment and the slide sleeve in the main compartment. A CPL20 should be a perfect fit! CPL20M is the GOAT
I started off years ago introducing myself to Evergoods with the PLC20 which was great until the winter hit and I realised that I needed more space for winter hats, gloves etc. When they released the CBB22 I decided to upgrade and that extra space was great, I wasn’t used to having a separate laptop section based on the previous bag, so that didn’t bother me, but although being a decent bag it never made me feel this is the one.
My work changed and I started travelling on overnight business trips, and although the CBB was fine with a packing cube, I just didn’t like how it felt less secure due to the main front pocket being low down and easily accessible to anyone, at least with the PLC it was a top front pocket and wasn’t easy to open.
After over a year with the CBB and still hunting for the perfect bag I decided to bite the bullet and order the CPL24. Out of hundreds of videos I’ve watched for various brands like Aer, it still felt Evergoods was the way to go, and although it is a …
