I’ve seen all the big brands and unicorns coming by here and on other channels and social media. It’s what’s gets recommended the most too. All the known big and populair brands, we can recognize those bags and slings on photo’s easily Good stuff too. But what about the less known bags and slings? Only once in a blue moon someone recommends a bag or sling that isn’t a big or populair brand. Would you buy it? Do you have it? What are some good quality but less known bags and slings?
I’m looking for slings, around 6 to 10 liter. But I’m circling through every populair brand already. What about the less known ones?
Feel free to share. Doesn’t have to be slings. I’m super curious to see what are the less populair brands.
I’ll go first I always pack underwear like I’m going to shit myself at least once a day.

Most of my spending is on travel but then I travel frugally (make use of public transportation instead of car rental, stay in hostels or modest hotels etc).
I’ve looked extensively at travel or golf pants that have been recommended on this site, but they have been almost exclusively all about men’s pants. I am a female one bagger, but we will be travelling to NZ this June (their winter) so I need pants that will dry quicker than a pair of jeans. I’d prefer that they not be super tight (like not leggings), and be casual but versatile (can wear with a nice top). Any recommendations?
I am about to embark on nomadic lifestyle and wondering what are the shoes people travel with here?
I currently have:
- Running - Nike Pegasus
- Gym - Pegasus + barefoot/socks for lifting heavy
- Casual/Walking - Stan Smiths
- Official/Smart occasions - some random loafers that look ok
- Hiking/Trails - still missing a pair here, happy to have suggestions
Whats your setup?
Hi, Amazing that I can’t find any. Have you? Seeking tech pants: - affordable - hidden pockets and some zipped pockets (?) - don’t look nerdy
So many companies are making affordable tech pants but I can’t find any designed for my travel needs. I could get pockets sewn in but … come on people!
Thank you for any tips.
TL;DR: Same same but diff. Compared to the Futurecore Warmshirt, the Stronghard Hooded Warmshirt feels more like a jacket and less like a wearable blanket, but it’s not as dramatically different as you’d expect. The hood + stitched logos will be polarizing, but at least the logos can be easily removed with no residual stitch holes.
Exp. 399 - Stronghard Hooded Warmshirt is dropping tomorrow 10⁄31 (Happy Halloween 👻) at 1PM NYC for $555 in Black, Dark Olive, and Concrete.
Outlier’s Futurecore (or Futurecharge back in the day) layers have been some of my most worn pieces out of all the clothes I’ve accumulated over the years. Pre-COVID I fell in love with the Futurecharge (now Futurecore) Track Jacket (FCTJ) when I was traveling every week for work (initial review here, long-term review here). During COVID quarantine I received the …
Just saw the latest marketing email with details about this, and I’m kind of scratching my head about it. From the website:
When five (5) or more bulk buy eligible products are being purchased within a single order the price of all eligible items is automatically reduced by 15% during checkout.
They don’t need to be the same product, you can mix and match! The key thing to remember is that only products labeled “Bulk buy eligible” count toward reaching the five item threshold and the price adjustment only applies towards bulk buy eligible products.
Pretty cool idea, but I’m wondering who it’s for and what it’s incentivizing (will it actually result in fewer returns?), especially given these terms:
Returning or exchanging ANY products bought with a bulk buy eligible price reduction voids the ENTIRE price reduction. The amount refunded to you will be calculated based on the full non-bulk price of the items you keep.
So, for example, if I buy 10 bulk-buy …
I had the fortunate opportunity to purchase the Bombtwill car coat, and within a week of wearing it, I was thoroughly enamored. What follows is a curated tribute to this remarkable piece. I’ve meticulously gathered insights from the website, including visuals, enriched by details from the Instagram live session and conversations with Willie, all interwoven with my personal reflections. This compilation is the result of considerable effort, and I hope it’s received with the same warmth with which it was created.
BUT FIRST…A FIT PIC

I received a new earth cotton longsleeve recently, I have to say I was pretty pleasantly surprised by both the weight and the feel. It is much heavier than I expected, and also, it doesn’t feel like any other cotton Ts I have (which admittedly are mostly Japanese organic loopwheel). It is much much softer and less fuzzy…to the point where it feels kind of like nylon? I just expected a somewhat normal cotton T. It’s definitely unique IME.
Hey! I’m headed to NYC from Germany and will pre-order my first Outlier item. I’m thinking of pants and was going to do the slim dungarees, but it seems many people recommend something else. I have a few different styles of the ABCs already and love them. Are the dungarees different enough? Style wise, I’m practical, on my bike everyday, and want something that I can easily travel with minimally.
Any recommendations?
