To be released end of June in East-Asia, so hopefully available in Europe and the US by September/October. Similar to their latest bags releases, very reminiscent of Porter Yoshida!
Just wanted to share my collection since I love seeing y’all’s bags on here too. I work from home so I don’t get to use any of them as an edc as much as I’d like. But my family travels many times a year so they’ve become my travel bag collection.

I’m considering adding the 30L ULA Dragonfly with the luggage pass through. Thoughts? Thanks!
I love stuff like this lol, now I can finally see how big those Bellroy Slings are really lol. I always loved it when One Bag Travels broke out the packing peanuts and I’m glad these plastic marbles can fit in these slings.
As for methodology, I do think I agree with how he is doing it here. Filling it up as much as possible in one go, seems to give a better picture than doing each pocket individually then adding them up. I think this sort of matches how TB does their volume testing (they also get their measurements from their stuff fully packed out and not just the flat fabric).
Current bag lineup. I’ve bought and sold many backpacks over the years, but I dont find myself selling any of these anytime soon. I would love to put a ctb26 on here, but the harness system was too uncomfortable. Short review of each.
Trakke bannoch pro: my go to one bag. Ive taken it on 2 week trips for Japan and Vietnam. Its my favorite bag, but the size is a little big for EDC. I usually pair it with a sling and a packable duffel during a trip.
Aer city pack pro 2: when i travel with my roller luggage I take the CPP2 because of the luggage passthrough. If the bannoch pro had a luggage passthrough I dont think i would have a use for this bag. Organization is excellent. Slight con, the velcro can tear up the strap foam if they make contact.
Goruck GR1 21L: i take this out for rucking. As well as any camping activities. I used to own a GR2 34L. But it was a little too big to take on flights.
tom bihn synik 26: honestly, I haven’t found a specific use case for this bag. Ive taken it …
Hi all,
I recently posted with the Bellroy Crescent Sling 2.5L, still very much like that bag but it’s a little big for my everyday life. Ended up getting the Tom Bihn X PAC Bantam. I got the thicker strap and added a ghost whale. Big fan of the fit of it on the body and the organization. It’s about packed out for me but it carries all I need
I had an amazing time travelling and, with some dedication, even managed to pack everything into one (big) bag. I’ve included some pics from the trip and some brief thoughts about what I learned. Happy to answer any questions.
Hey everyone, Last year, I did a 7-week trip through Europe with just one backpack (a Pacsafe) mainly for security reasons. My strategy was to pack super light and just buy clothes there as I needed them.
In theory, it sounded great. But in reality, it was a disaster. I went into a few stores in Belgium, but everything felt overpriced, and I couldn’t find sizes or styles that fit me well. I was so afraid of wasting money on something I’d regret, so I ended up buying nothing. I basically wore the same 3 t-shirts for almost 2 months.
Has anyone else tried this ‘local procurement’ strategy and actually made it work? How did you do it? Did you just go to big chains like Zara/H&M, or did you find other ways? I’m trying to figure out if my experience was unique
I have been lurking for a while, wishing to pull the plug but with a family of 4 it was daunting to try. Finally, after convincing my wife, we booked a 10 day holiday in Sri lanka with my 2 Daughters aged 9 and 5 with only 7kgs cabin allowance per person.
Using all the tips and tricks I found this group, I managed to keep my backpack at 6.8kgs, my wife’s at 6.2kgs, eldest daughter 5.3kgs and youngest at 4.2kgs (Weighed them numerous times because it was shocking how light it weighed). We even managed to pack a small notebook with markers, stickers and colored pencils for each kids so they will not rely on tablet which was also packed (ipad mini).
We are fortunate to be able to travel internationally at least 2 times per year and has always booked Airbnb’s for kitchen convenience but this time we adjusted our search to include washing machine, which made our lives extremely easy.
No more waiting for suitcases, pushing my daughters and my suitcases, making sure the uber can fit all, …
I always pack eye drops with me no matter what, they’re always useful !
mine’s a tiny ziplock of paper soap. saved me in more gross bathrooms than i can count.
curious what else people carry that earns its keep !
I have absolutely no use case for the CPL24, with a Fyro T22 that expands from 22 to 26L and an Almond Oak that expands from 25 to 30L, I just don’t have a hole in my travel that the CPL24 fills but damn do I want to buy one 😎. My CPL16, which is just to small for me to use for overnight trips comfortably (I’ve done it but its very tight), is my EDC bag and I absolutely love everything about it.
I started off a “if it doesn’t have water bottles its a hard no” but the CPL16 opened my eyes and actually I’m fine with internal carry or even attaching a vapor collapsible bottle.
New bag drop, black and coyote sitting there to be had. If they drop a summer green in XPAC, it might be more then I can resist 😁😱. But I don’t need one, probably means I’ll get one. 😂
I am looking for multiple-angle photos of the two (or three) side by side.
I have a CTB26 and I’m trying to visually compare it to the CTB20 before I purchase it. I’m also trying to compare the CTB20 to the CPL16.
Multiple shots of all three side by side / front angle would be fantastic
I don’t really want to just buy it without seeing comparison shots because I don’t want to pay for shipping it back out to them if I end up not wanting it.
Any assistance is appreciated here!
I just got my Max pax swap lock, I have several evergoods bags, I was thinking on the plc20, but I wanted to ask you guys. Has anyone done the install on an evergoods bag, any tips?
Got my CTB26. Everything is great except for the following issues: back digging caused by the bottom of the back panel, uncomfortable and bulging shoulder straps, loose stitching on the bottle holder (not pictures). So this part on the shoulder straps is bulging, is this designed to be like that? I wonder if I got a defective item. Thanks in advance to those who can help.
