Not sure about the Bellroy. I think it’s the 16L version but the quality is really fantastic. The Timbuk2 one is interesting for its minimalist aspect. The Fjallraven duffel is 30L and could be useful with a change of clothes in the car or a weekend trip.
Confirmed by Alpaka by mail (I sent them the serial number and label). They said it will be released soon, but has not yet officially launched or updated on the website. German amazon somehow sent it to me via their official EU importer.
Yes, it now features a magnetic closure on the back pocket, the improved Axoflux D400 material and it has the quick-release buttons on each end of the strap (like the 1L version).
For the last several years I’ve been on the mission to slim down my travel essentials, including my tech pouch and it’s contents. At this point I feel like i don’t even need a pouch for my travel tech. Latest iteration: Anker Gan charger, Charging cable, Backpack card, Physical passport copy, C to A adapter (as airplanes still have only A charge ports), Backup phone.
Wandrd Prvke 21l. It’s illegal in nine countries. Yep, it’s made with bits of real panther, so you know it’s good……
So you hated the attachments, and the branding. I heard you 😂. So I added one more for easy battery pack access. But that’s not all!
TLDR It’s one of if not the best bag I’ve had. And I’ve tried a lot (enough to make my wife notice)… Yes, shock I am married despite my clear poor taste in bags 😁.
If you want no nonsense water resistance, large storage, modular opportunities, and trustworthy features. This is it.
FULL REVIEW Ok honestly, while many of you disliked the deconstructed bag look. I still love the function over form approach and wanted to offer a more detailed review.
1) Aesthetic It’s certainly not for everyone. But it’s making my life. A lot easier having easy access to things like water or a battery pack. It’s also modular so you can easily remove all that stuff and be sleaker if needed. So it can work for both crazy people like me and a more everyday approach.
2) Weather proofing I live in Hong Kong. It rains a lot …
Version 1 of the Bellroy Transit Workpack, 20L. I have always been quite mainstream with my bag choices (Crumpler, Incase… which I have temporarily gone back to) - I thought the Bellroy would be at a premium being around twice what I would normally pay for a bag, and while I can see the merits there are unfortunately some dealbreakers for me.
Pros
*Never posted on reddit before but lurked here for ages, reckoned it was time to make an account/post as a thanks to this sub!*
I’ve done numerous one bag trips of varying lengths in the past, but this year I sold almost everything I owned and fully committed to a nomadic lifestyle & living out of a backpack full time.
Traveling with my partner, we are on course through Asia, Europe, and Central America, having already spent time in Japan, Taiwan, and China, while currently enjoying Vietnam as we slowly work our way west. We visit locations anywhere from a week to a month at a time with other notable stays in Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Mexico since the start of 2025. This list of items has accompanied me to each of these locations.
I also have a small collection of clothing to cover colder temperature ranges that is currently in storage in Minneapolis. This allows me to keep what I carry in my pack minimal as I offload weight and swap location relevant items in and out of …
In case anyone thinks about taking this seriously I did not think I needed a packing list.
I do have my spoon and umbrella. I have already used my hero clip twice.
Here is the revised and improved version of my SEA kit. I have built it based on my experiences on my previous SEA trips. The previous post can be found here. While I mostly agree with my past self, there are a few differences of opinion.
The pictures on this post include the items I intend to take with me. On page 7 you will find tables which include weights of most items, excluding those that go in pockets. The wall of text below contains a detailed description on why each one of these items was chosen to be included on this packing list and alternative items I considered.
Clothing and accessories
Fair warning: I haven’t truly traveled onebag before, and this trip is technically two bags. I know this is more than the strict minimalist setups I’ve seen here, but I wanted to balance comfort, technical needs, and a wardrobe that isn’t just black/grey. Basically, I want things that mix and match and still look good in photos.

Just did 2 weeks in Italy with my wife and we both one bagged it.
Both of us brought minimal clothes and did laundry, the biggest contention was shoes. We both wanted sandals for the beaches and the heat but was also needed walking shoes for the city and the countryside.
The problem was we also wanted to go to some nice restaurants, so sneakers were not going to cut it.
Boat shoes ended up being the perfect thing. I could wear them to the beach, I could wear them while exploring the city or walking the country side. And they were sharp enough to not feel awkward in nice establishments.
They unexpected benefit? NO SOCKS!
For the first time ever I travelled with no socks. Between the sandals and the boat shoes I didn’t need or miss them and it freed up a lot of space in my bag.
Obviously this doesn’t work in colder climates but in the future I don’t even think Ill bring sandals. Just the boat shoes.
I have had the Evergoods Civic Access Sling (CAS2) for about three months now. I have to say it is my most used bag that I own. I’ll give you a breakdown of the details of why I like this sling and what I use it for. There are a lot of bags out there that claim to be “multi use” bags. Most of them fail at being functional in 2 or 3 different ways. This one does not. This is a badass sling and is the perfect hip bag! Yes, this bag functions as a sling and as a hip bag, or “fanny pack.” And who loves Fanny packs? Dads! As my handle name suggests, I am a dad. As a dad, I have earned the right to rock this B in Fanny pack mode!
Let’s discuss the details. The CAS2 is made from 840d nylon. Evergoods’ 840d nylon is my most favorite material of all time. I appreciate all materials, but Evergoods just seems to do it better. The front compartment has double ykk #10 zippers. The back compartment has a single ykk #8 zipper. If you are here reading this, then you know ykk is the Michael Jordan of …
In case you were wondering, CAPs also make great camera pouches!
They offer some protection while still remaining super packable.

CPL16 and CAP2 are the perfect complement to each other, in case you didn’t already know. Two CAP2’s stack neatly inside the main compartment of the CPL16 with room in the top to spare, and the combined functionality is criminally underrated.
Also, a touch of leather goes a long way and I’ll always love black & tan.
After a month of searching I decided to buy the CTB26. I hope it arrives safely in Saudi Arabia.
