This isn’t some sort of random rant or hatred on newer games/controllers and it’s developers. I just missed the coloured buttons of Xbox and coloured shapes of PlayStation. PS5’s DualSense monochrome coloured buttons and Xbox’s Wireless Controller black-face-coloured-letters seems less visually appealing. I know the coloured letters is similar to coloured shapes of PS. But Xbox “all-filled” coloured buttons from 360 and the first Xbox nailed it and much more memorable to which button to press. This is also the case for DualShocks like PS4 and PS3 coloured shapes seems more memorable than all white filled monochromes shapes. Theoretically, it’s developers and their creativity to put controller buttons textures but they based it on current controller layouts.

its a “Fragnstein Wireless Controller” for PS3 and PC made by “Bannco Corp” i already had a pair but without the dongle ( shown in the last picture ) and i spent MONTHS looking for a pair with dongle or just the dongle alone, only found sold listings on eBay and for some random reason also on a police auction website.
i made a listing on my country’s version of eBay/Craigslist and months went by with nothing but then randomly last week i got a message from someone in my city like 10min away who had the controller with dongle, not sure what the chances are of this happening seeing as im in Norway in a city with like 30k people and that this controller had pretty much no info online in terms of people selling it.
just wanted to share this fun story of me chasing down an obscure controller combo.
Sup guys, I just wanted to share my pride about this controller right now. I have thought for some time to make a definitive controller, to use daily and never tear down again. I encountered with pretty interesting modifications, may I mention:
I must say this wasn’t especially easy, since it was my first time adding back buttons and the poor friendly designed joysticks to get them in place but everything turned out amazingly! If you plan to do this mod too, here is a list of tips that I would have appreciated a lot since I was getting crazy for some instants:
Make sure to solder really well the three points I pointed out of the Victor X kit, since I think are the ones that give power to the flex cable and will allow you to use the tester included, in my case I thought they were welded nicely and they weren’t, not gonna lie I panicked and thought I had …
I’ve been looking for a camera bag for some time now but I have not been able to find one so I made the very wise decision to make one myself.
I think for a first project and the first time working with a sewing machine - I think it turned out fine.
But what was the goal - I wanted a camera backpack that would fit Lufthansas personal item size (max 40x30x15cm); would be comfortable for carrying it around all day; fit my gear, a water bottle and some misc stuff; offer quick access from the sides
At a rough size of around 40x25x14 it comes in at around 1.1kg including the 3d printed action cam mount + dji quick release. The removable camera cube can fit my a6600 with two smaller lenses without any issues on the other side I can either put my water bottle or it could potentially be used for a longer zoom lens. On the front behind the triangle there is also a pocket for stuff like a passport or slim journal, map, etc.
The only thing I did not make myself are the shoulder straps - …
Just received my Uniqlo Multi-Pocket Shoulder Bag, so wanted to post a quick review. The material feels closest to my Able Carry Daily+. The zippers are just like those on my Aer TP3s.
Ok, I’m joking.
But for my use case - a personal item to bring on flights when using the TP3s as my primary carry on, this is a pretty great fit. I did a quick load out, with my iPad, Kindle, Soundcore headphones, an Inateck organizer, passport case, etc, along with a 24 oz Owala in the bottle pocket. And it all fits nicely, taking up less than 2⁄3 of the space. I might pick up a smaller water bottle - the 24 oz fits ok but a shorter bottle (like my 20oz Camelbak) is probably a better fit. It sits nicely against the body. I’ll grab a shoulder pad so the strap doesn’t dig in if I overload it.
Is it the best cross-body or shoulder bag you can get? Of course not, but for $20 on sale, this one is likely to become part of my travel kit.
I’ve seen these mentioned a bunch of times - obviously it’s not up there with our usual brands but for $20, I grabbed one as an extra personal item.
From left to right: Aer City Pack Pro 2 CTactical CT21 v3 500D nylon (also there’s a CT10 inside it that is basically the same thing but smaller) Peak Design Travel Backpack 45l Topo Designs Standard Pack Topo Designs Apex Global Briefcase
I also have a decent assortment of slings and pouches that I may post at some point too. I used the Standard Pack daily for a long time but I would regularly wish it was a little bigger. The Aer is the newest addition and feels like it will be perfect for my daily needs. The Apex served as a great diaper bag for a while. The Peak is an incredible bag but maybe a bit too heavy and the straps could be better. Most of the time it is used to store all my smaller bag-related stuff (pouches, straps, etc). The CTs are kinda new as well, for the price it’s a hard deal to pass up. They’re versatile and well built. I could definitely see the CT21 being a good short trip travel bag.
Since I had the same question when I ordered it I am putting this here if anyone else is interested. Received mine today and can confirm it will easily fit a 14” MacBook Pro inside. The outer zipper makes it a little snug to get in but inside has plenty of room.
About to go on a road trip with family (for mother’s birthday) in Ireland, spending 8 days roaming around the island (Dublin, Kilkenny, Killarney, ring of Kerry, Dingle peninsula, County Clare, Galway and Connemara).
Packing list:
Tech:
Worn on day 1
Bags: Patagonia MLC Mini and Fjallraven Ulvo Hip pack large
Camera, extra lens and batteries will almost always live in the sling bag. On me I’ll have phone and wallet
Is there anything I might be missing or something I could improve?
Hello everybody, first up i’m sorry if this is the wrong subreddit to be asking. I’m a 17 year old planning on leaving my abusive home soon and will only be able to take my Cycling Single 25L Pannier Rack Backpack and a small purse for the trip. My current list of stuff to take consists of:
If you guys could tell me whether this is likely to fit or not (I can’t check myself because I can’t be caught packing my bag with all of this stuff, my mom would notice and punish me regardless of reason.) I would also appreciate any other stuff you guys think i should pack. I won’t be needing any special clothes due to climate thankfully and food/water won’t be an issue either. Thank you in advance.
I’m new here, and I don’t have any experience with the One Bag practice. What should a beginner know to get started in the best possible way? My current backpack is the PgyTech OneMo Lite. It’s a waterproof camera backpack, but by removing the dividers it becomes a regular, very spacious bag. This year I’m planning to take several solo trips around Europe, and I’d like to travel with just one backpack. Thanks in advance to everyone for the advice!
Biometric passports are a type of Electronic Machine Readable Travel Document, regulated by an ICAO standard.
Information, such as the electronic representation of the passport photo, name, etc. is stored on the RFID chip in the passport. This information is encrypted with a key.
This means the data cannot be read without the key.
The key is calculated using information such as the document number, date of birth, and date of expiry. This information is written on the passport’s main page.
Therefore, to electronically read your passport, the actor must also have seen the inside of your passport. This is why gates at airports also take a picture of your passport when you put it down on the sensor. It converts the image into text, extracts the necessary information, creates the key, then reads and decrypts the information on the chip.
So unless you’re walking around with your passport open, then there is no risk of anyone walking past or being sneaky taking your …

Just got my brand new CB22 Griffin Edition. I already own a CTB26 in waxed canvas but found it to be a bit big for my usual EDC, so I pulled the trigger.
They have the same great build quality and rugged feel. The leather bottom on the CB22 is a nice touch, I wish the CTB26 had one too. In terms of size, they are miles apart. The difference feels like more than 4L. The front pocket on the CBB is massive.
The only gripe I have with the CB22 is the lack of a decent laptop sleeve. I rarely have to take one with me and when I do, I can always take the CTB26, but a sleeve like the one on the new Kludde edition MPL would’ve been ideal.
The interior color is more of a highlighter orange than how it appears basically everywhere online, including in the pictures I posted. I can see how one could get tired of it.
I love my CAS2, but after a few weeks of use, I’ve noticed that it’s slipping a lot and won’t stay in place at all. This happens even when it’s not particularly heavily loaded. Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?
Finally got my Kludde MPL, Packing cube 10L, and blue zipper pulls. Happy with my purchase. I have a few other EG bags, and this was a nice add to the collection. Now all I need is the Phoenix CTB 26L.
