Disclaimer: This product was imported and bought by myself. I did not got any discount or sample from Zuiki. This doesn’t influence my opinion or written statement.
First I have done some input tests (frame by frame recordings and so on) but will not go through them as John did it already.
It’s my first Zuiki Controller and I was really hyped. I was expecting a lot and I am a bit divided on that one.
Also I know nobody likes to read a full block of text and for that reason we go on with a good, bad and between list.
Good:
DISCLAIMER: I purchased this controller with my own money, directly from the Arkodd site.

tldr: the GS sports a microswitch dpad that comes out the box with split and pivot variants, and alongside the hall effect analog sticks, make it one of my favorite controllers for playing a variety of action games
the 3d printed materials can’t compete with the bigger companies, but it’s a more satisfying controller than any of the current gen fightpad offerings
I bought a Easysmx X20 recently, and played with it less than 10 hours, and its thumbsticks are getting stucked when I pull it to the edges.
I’m using it on PC, and it’s affecting the gameplay of all my games.
I’ve already tried to clean it with isopropyl alcohol, but with no success.
Can someone help with a solution?
Took an entire weekend and a lot of patience to install these and was well worth the upgrade 😅.
This was my first time desoldering/soldering and I love the way these turned out.
Coming from the series elite 2 controller I missed having the adjustable tension joysticks and my original edge joysticks developed stick drift so this was the perfect solution.
Breaking apart the oem potentiometer with a wire cutter and desoldering each piece made this a breeze.
I also went ahead and gave the controller a bigger 3000mAh battery which has been a life saver so far.
Carrying a water bottle in my Tomtoc cross body sling always seems to take up way too much room and makes the bag bulky. Finally found a water bottle that works and thought I would share. Not a cheap solution from Memobottle but gives me 12 ounces of water capacity and leave lots of room for other stuff. Very pleased!
I will note I have no problem with bags made in Vietnam, in a lot of cases bags from there are higher quality than what is created in the U.S.. What I do have a problem with is Tom Bihn pricing if they start making more and more items overseas. It was only a matter of time I guess.
I posted the set up before, but I wanted to share a few step-by-step photos since many seems to be confused on how to get a tight fit.
This is a a great way to carry your backpack on your carry-on for bags that either have zero luggage pass-through or vertically oriented bag with horizontal pass-through
I came here looking for a bag recommendation… and now I’m sitting here waiting for my third bag to arrive in a few months.
My bank account hates this sub, but my inner gear nerd is thriving.
For those curious — I’ve got an Able Carry Max on the way, and recently picked up a ULA Cicada and an Alpha One Niner Whitley. Do I need all of these? Absolutely not. Will I love using every single one? Absolutely.
Before finding this sub I was considering safe choices like Patagonia and Osprey, but you all have dragged me deep into the rabbit hole of slick materials, hidden pockets, and back panel geometry I didn’t even know mattered.
Thanks (I think?)
Waited about 15 months for this and tbh it’s worth the wait! This bag is perfect in every way, did not think it would turn out so awesome, great work from the team at Azo Equipment!
Always been a big fan of this sub so would appreciate some feedback!
I’m going on a 12-month trip to SEA, Australia and New Zealand (and possible the baltics depending on time) over Nov-25 to Oct-26.
I’ve been putting a lot of time into trying to make the most succinct packing list I can and this is where I’m at currently. Any feedback people have would be much appreciated!! ☺️
From left to right, top to bottom
I am 3 months into my trip (i still have 3 more months to go) and this bag was the wrong choice for me.
When fully packed it weighed 10kg and i also have a separate 4kg foldable day pack (combined 14kg is too much ik).
The MT 500 doesnt have a laptop sleeve so the separate day pack was necessary.
This is way too much to carry around at airports and is a huge pain while changing airbnbs. I realised it has made me lazy and not wanting to travel around because the idea of carrying this everywhere gives me stress.
Also I have paid crazy amount of fees checking in my bag and i did the math and my heart sank. I have spent 250 usd only on checkin fees which is insanity!
So I’ve finally bought a 40L bag as my ONLY bag so i can continue travelling with just carry on.
The bag itself is amazing and quality is excellent. It’s just meant for hiking and NOT for travelling light (especially as a digital nomad because we need a bunch of electronics too).
I might end up selling this bag since …
I just got back from an 8 night trip staying in 4 different cities in France and Belgium carrying everything in a 16L Kanken, I did 3 nights in hostels and 5 in private accommodation. I thought I’d review what I took and how it went.
Clothes (mostly in the big cube)
I’m on my first ever one bag business trip but it just didn’t feel right. The bag was heavy yet I don’t think I over packed. I couldn’t figure out how to commute to the office with my large laptop so I also carried a satchel bag. This is 3 day/2 night. Wearing day 1 clothes. Any suggestions??
Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster though not first time onebagging. I’m going to Paris for the weekend and this is all I’m bringing inside a 20L Quechua Arpenaz NH100.
From the picture, bear in mind all clothes to the left of my t-shirts I’m gonna be wearing and not gonna go inside the bag. Here’s the packing list, from right to left:
On me: - Same exact cargo …
What I got now:
Got 3 shirts and 2 pants, guess I’ll just need to change and wash them fast enough
Insta360 camera for all the beautiful views, mostly to capture sunsets, maybe some hiking and snorkeling as well if I’ve got the time
Timekettle NewT1 translator bc I’m planning to go to Spain and France and I don’t speak either
Sony headphone which I can’t live without especially on the plane and train
Shoes and socks and charging cables are already packed
Will bring a jacket since it’s not warm there anymore
Do you think this is enough for a 1-week trip to Europe? Any other suggestions? Thank you all for any tips
We’ve all seen posts from people asking about loadouts suggestions and what fits inside…but no one ever talks about what fits on the outside.
I present you with…cat pillow!
Thanks for the feedback on my post earlier this week. I ended up finding this somewhat nearby on FB Marketplace and took a swing on the price.
I think it came down to the water bottle pockets, and I haven’t had one on a bag in years, so while I may have liked the CTB more, I probably won’t notice on the CPL, especially being able to grab one slightly used.
Hi all, I’ve just bought a second-hand CAS2 off eBay. It seems one of the new versions as has strap ties. However, the colour doesn’t seem to be black, but almost a very dark grey. Do you know if there was a grey in the past or is this how the standard black colour looks? Thanks!
I’m trying to decide between the cap .5, cap 1, and the Aer Split Kit.
I need a pouch that can be something I can just take out of my backpack and carry with me to the cockpit of a plane and leave my backpack in the closet (I’m a professional pilot). It would hold AirPod pros, chapstick, ombraz sunglasses (armless), maybe a pack of Kleenex, sometimes a cord and iPhone charger.
Honestly I’m leaning towards the Aer. I think maybe the cap .5 might be too small.
Also I carry a CPL 16 with me EVERYWHERE.
It would also function as something I would take out and carry into a store, church, etc…
I’m 6’2”, 200# with a broad chest (46r). I have a CPL16 in waxed canvas. It the perfect capacity for my EDC. However, it’s kinda a pain to get on and off and feels small when wearing. Don’t get me wrong, small can be good, but I mean the shoulder straps and harness seem small.
Those that have tried the 24 and the 16, is the harness significantly bigger? I don’t need the space, but could use a larger harness.
Does Evergoods have a schedule for announcement of new or update to product likes like the CPL or is it usually random? I had the CPL 24 V1 a long time ago and sold it, really regretted not getting the mirrored version they had for the V3.
Love the CPL and plan to get 16L and 24L, but I know there’s no plans for a return of the mirrored version. Still, the company seems receptive of its fans and I’d be curious how the next iteration of the CPL improves.
I’m actually fine with the CPL not having a water bottle pocket–the rest of the pockets are already accessible over the shoulder that it’s still possible to retrieve the bottle without completely taking off the bag off both shoulders. I think it’s weird they insist on supporting water bladder for such a bag since I don’t think it’s suitable for hiking (weight due to its fabrics and beefy harness, no mesh back) and it takes up interior space which is more valuable. But the puzzling issues …
