Hey guys! Here is my collection of controllers with some time played with each one.
If anyone has any specific questions about the specific controller please feel free to ask and I’ll try my best to answer them!
So far my tier list from best to last (in my opinions based on hours on call of duty, bf6, arc raiders, and completing silksong)
This tier list is based purely on feel and in game performance using dongle only.
All apps in each respective controller company does not play into my choices nor the setup difficulty (some more annoying than others to setup and mess around with I see you rainbow 3 and tt max)
Vader 5 pro
Rainbow 3
TT Max
G7 pro
Blitz 2
Mobapad Huben 2
8bitdo ultimate 2
I didn’t pull out the NES officials, using 8bitdos for the distance. Also left the SNES ones in the box due to space.
Just got this for $5 at a thrift store, tested and works but what’s the best way to clean it? Especially the joysticks.
Hi I’m not sure if this is the correct subreddit for this but, I’m replacing the joystick on my ps5 controller for a Hall effect one I soldered it into the motherboard and when I went to calibrate it, you see the following in the video, when I press down it moves into a different angle but without touching or when trying to move it, it just goes diagonal down left. Also my solder that I did on the board I’m new to soldering so I don’t know if I just didn’t do it right, or when I was taking out the old one I damaged the board or the copper wiring around the holes. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Hello everyone, this is my review of the MINI RETRO ANANKE controller by IINE.
This controller was not sponsored; I bought it with my own money. I purchased the purple color.
Some of this controller’s specifications can be found on IINE’s website. One thing I noticed while looking for information about the battery (there’s no info about its capacity either on the website or in the manual) has to do with the build materials. On the website, IINE states that the controller is made of PC and copper, while the manual mentions ABS plastic. Based on the texture of the plastic, it feels more like PC to me, but I’ll need to ask IINE about this, as well as about the battery capacity.
The controller costs $28.99 USD plus shipping when purchased directly from IINE’s website.
The controller’s shape resembles the silhouette of a classic Game Boy, but with extra buttons added, such as X and Y, as well as L, R, ZL, and ZR bumpers/triggers. The buttons are membrane-based, which makes it a fully …
I got tired buying a new controller every time I got a stick drift so I decided to take things in my own hands. I replaced the analogues with these GuilKit ones which I heard should not cause anymore stick drift issues and at the same time I replaced the shell to the anniversary ones which I bought from AliExpress. The buttons are a bit mushy but they work so I would not recommend them if you enjoy a more clicky buttons but overall I am happy how everything came out. Also calibration after installation is a must which I learned the hard way.
Well, here we go, another rabbit hole I’ve fallen down…
For eight years, I’ve had my trusty Eastpak bag that has seen me through my school days. I’m very happy with it, but the bottom is starting to get seriously damaged and I have new organisational needs in my young adult life, so I’ve started looking for a new bag.
I carry quite a lot of stuff with me every day. I do photography, I go to university, to the gym, and all that without going home, so my rucksack has to hold all that and be comfortable enough for me to walk the 10,000 to 15,000 steps I take every day. It was a purchase I really wanted to take seriously, so I discovered the great Reddit community on the subject, and here I am with my first, completely amateur review of three bags I tested!
I liked this one, but it had too many drawbacks for my daily use. This bag is less comparable to the other two because it’s smaller; it was the first one I bought before I realised …
I stopped in the Aer SF store today and they are soft launching the City Pack Pro 2 in Coyote Ecopak fabric. It’s kind of like a cross between X-Pac and Ultra. Coyote isn’t really for me but it’s a nice fabric/color. Should be on the website in the next few weeks. Not sure if they’re rolling it out to other SKUs.
Also, they’re opening an LA store soon.
Hey Many baggers!
I’ve been on a great (onebag) trip the last few months and will do a trip report and review of my current backpack later.
I’m still on the hunt for a good EDC backpack and I’ve settled on the Aer City Pack Pro 2. I’ve been to the store that’s recommended a lot here in Tokyo (Hands Shinyuku). They had some beautiful backpacks including the Travel pack 3 small, city Pack, pro pack and able carry max EDC. however the CPP2 was unfortunately sold out.
I’d love to get one here as a reminder of this trip and to use for the coming years. anyone knows more spots to find Aer backpacks in Tokyo or Osaka?
About a month ago I replaced my Bellroy Venture Ready Sling (2.5L) with this Alpaka Flow Satchel (4L). I had been looking for something that would be bigger and would allow me to carry a water bottle. I’m happy to report that, a few quirks aside, the Flow Satchel did not disappoint.

Trip overview:
I recently returned from a 18-day cross-country trip to Vietnam. I started the trip by spending a couple of days by the Vietnamese-Cambodian border in brutal heat in the jungle, visiting relatives on a coconut farm in the Mekong. Followed by working our way up north by ending the trip with three nights on the Vietnamese-Chinese border in the cold mountains. In short, packing light while being comfortable in the vastly different climates was the main challenge. Packing list in terms of clothes goes:
Clothes:
Just got back from a long weekend in Mexico City (first time, amazing city!). wanted to share that my ULA Dragonfly 30L fit under the seat with room to spare! My son was carrying a Matador SEG28, which also was a good fit. Neither were packed to the max and had room to bring things back that we bought!
I film solo and move a lot, so my setup has slowly shifted away from hard cases and obvious camera bags.
This is what my floor usually looks like before heading out nothing pretty, just what I actually carry.
I’ve been using the Trekarius 35L lately because it doesn’t look like a camera bag and doesn’t force me into a rigid layout. It’s carry-on sized, boring-looking, and lets me keep everything on me without standing out too much.
Not saying this is the “best” way — just what’s been working better for me compared to bulky cases or bright, branded packs.
Curious how others here pack when filming solo or moving through unfamiliar places.
I finally got a 26+6 when it went on sale recently. I like that it’s basically a small suitcase but in backpack form. It held everything I needed for my 3 day trip. The only complaints I have are with the 2 smaller pockets. I wish the very front pocket had a bigger opening to make getting things in or out easier, and I wouldn’t mind the top pocket being a bit shallower so it wouldn’t interfere with stuff in the front pocket.
Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and anticipate this being my primary travel bag going forward. This, combined with my crossbody bag, make the perfect combination.
I’ve been one-bagging for just over a year now, slow-traveling full time for a little over two years through various countries in Europe and Asia with occasional returns to the US.
I just flew back over to Asia from the US and I’ve gotta tell you guys, traveling without liquids is where it’s at! Not having to remove anything when asked about liquids in my departing US airport, skipping the clear plastic bags in the Hong Kong airport, it’s a little thing but such a difference!
Not to mention dry options seem to stretch a lot further, which means using my favorites for months instead of just a week or two before having to resupply.
I still have face cream and regular toothpaste, apparently those don’t count in the airports I passed through. But I’ve recently switched fully over to bar soap in a drying matador copycat bag (it’s a bar that says it’s good for body, shampoo and shaving, but I’m bald and use an electric shaver), and I …
I travel a lot with one bag, so I’ve been minimizing my setup in a rather different creative and effective way. I figured this may be useful for somebody else who’s trying to stay the one bag way and work remotely.
At Home
I’ve got two laptops at home that I keep at home. The first one is my personal Lenovo Legion Pro gaming laptop with built-in Nvidia video card. The thing is a beast and has 32 gigs of RAM and stays at home on a powered fan cooler. The second is my work laptop, which is a beefy ThinkPad that I really don’t carry anywhere because it’s relatively heavy and it belongs to work and I don’t want to lose it. I leave both laptops running at home plugged into JetKVM devices so that I can access them remotely. These KVMs are great. They’re about $100 a pop and you can access your laptop from anywhere in the world. For even better performance on my personal laptop, I use a software called Parsec, which allows for excellent …
(note: this is an expanded version of a my review on the EG website)
Now that I’ve been using the MPL22 as my main bag for over a year now, I thought it was time for a review. My main uses during that time have been EDC/gym, personal item travel, hiking, and daytrips.
Positives:
Anyone else see that Instagram post and wonder what he’s up to? Could be cool, without falling into any rabbit holes myself I was wondering if anybody has heard/read anything?
Laptop compartment zipper fell off the track my Phoenix 2 CPL 26L. Any way to fix this? Repair company who are reputable?
As you can see in the pictures, 2nd pic the left strap is twisted at the bottom connection. I’m not able to pull it out and reconnect it because of the end of the strap can’t go through the buckle.
It only bothers me when I found out about it just now since it really does not affect its function. Just mildly bothersome 😆
