I just found out that my controller has a lot ants inside it. What can I do to save it? Any chance is it still working?
I was looking for something online at first, but inspiration struck as I remembered I had some rope just lying around. I sewed the intersections together and the build seems good! Any improvement suggestions?
Edit: I’m genuinely looking for suggestions, but the comments are hilarious istg 😂
Edit 2: in case anybody else is curious about how to put this on or off
Disclaimer: not affiliated with any brand, bought with my own money.
Ordered the Gulikit TT Max day 1 as it ticked most of the boxes I was looking for.
I can’t discern any QC issues, back pedals went in fine and their actuation seems the same all around.
The out of the box centering of the analogs does seem a tiny bit off but since I’m fairly casual this probably wont matter to me.
Replacing the action buttons to the xbox layout felt a bit sketchy with the provided tool so hopefully they’ll include a sucker tool.
Design wise it feels solid, no flex, has a nice heft to it and coming from a 20 years old controller to me it feels premium.
I will say the dpad and left analog are a bit close together, depending on how you like to use your dpad you might find it uncomfortable. Another huge bonus for me is that this controller is very quiet.
Overall very pleased, game on.

Review
Performance & Responsiveness
This is easily the controller’s strongest point. The 1000Hz polling rate makes inputs feel instant, especially in fast-paced games. Everything feels responsive with no noticeable input delay.
Buttons (ABXY) & D-Pad
The ABXY buttons are excellent, very responsive and comfortable to use.
The D-pad is outstanding — one of the best you can get on a controller. If it has any real competition, it would be other controllers from 8BitDo themselves.
Sticks & Extra Buttons
The TMR sticks feel accurate and smooth, and the controller includes 4 extra remappable …

My journey started like everyone else: To find the perfect bag. Dozens of reviews, countless subreddit posts, the occasional google. I have not had my hands on quite as many bags as others here, it has mostly been an online search. Some bag brands that piqued my interested were Evergoods, Able Carry, GoRuck, Aer, the normal big hitters.
I flipped back and forth between different models from these brands looking for the right bag. I wasn’t traveling, I already have a travel bag that works well. I didn’t have a lengthy commute it was mostly downstairs to my truck then take the truck to work. I do carry a decent amount of stuff daily because I work at my boss’ house and he does not have an actual station set up for me.
So short commute, lots of stuff. I had another bag I loved at the time of my search which was the Mystery Ranch Catalyst 26. The issue I had with that bag was it was just TOO big. The organization was great, loved having the bottle pockets, it fit …
I move a lot with music gear like drum machines, small keyboards, headphones, and a laptop. Between trains, flights, studios, and long days, backpacks get tested fast.
I tried plenty of “good” backpacks. None were really made for how I travel or work.
This is the V2, still a personal project, still refining. If you’re around Paris, I’m planning a very quiet reveal in a couple of weeks and I’ll show the inside. That’s honestly where the magic is.
Mostly sharing to hear how others carry their gear and where bags usually fall short.
And if you also make music, happy to chat.
Hii, my name is Adil, I’m from Mauritius and I’ve had the Aer Travel Pack 3 in X-Pac since April 2022, and I figured enough time has passed to give a proper long-term review instead of the usual “just unboxed it” hype.
Short version:
I still use it. A lot. And I have zero regrets. I’ll probably die one day having this bag on me considering the amount of times I use it.
Long version:
This bag has basically been abused in every reasonable (and some unreasonable) way possible. I’ve used it for:
If a backpack can be used for it, I’ve probably done it with this one.
Durability / X-Pac:
This is honestly where the bag shines. The X-Pac has held up ridiculously well. No tearing, no delamination, no weird wear points. It still looks clean even after years of use. I’m not gentle with my gear and I don’t baby …
Anyone else use one of these Maxpedition Travel Trays on the road?
It flattens to 12.5” x 11” and is super easy to pack/carry. Or you can fold it in half.
Folded into position, the tray measures 8.5” x 5” x 2” on the front/sides and nearly 4” in back with the pocket.
For me, it serves several purposes:
You might argue that it’s overkill and unnecessary for your purposes, and I wouldn’t disagree with you. But I like using it.
I have been traveling continuously for the last ~3 years across multiple continents and climates - tropics, shoulder seasons, and cold weather. I occasionally return to a home base, where I may swap or refine a few items - or even change the backpack itself - but the core idea and constraints have remained the same.
My setup is intentionally strict - one 16L backpack that qualifies as a personal item and fits under the seat. Everything I travel with fits inside it, with only minimal extra room for snacks or small purchases. Ideally, I would like this to be closer to 20L, but 16L is what I currently make work. The same backpack also functions as my daypack.
I also carry a small packable sling for airports and cities. That holds my passport, cards, cash, phone, MagSafe battery, and sunglasses. On flights, I use a neck pillow stuffed with my puffy jacket to keep bulk out of the bag.
What’s in the backpack
- Toiletry kit
- Electronics pouch
- Clothing cube
- Lightweight sandals

About to do 3 weeks in Thailand. Bangkok, Chiang Mai and southern islands (Koh Lanta, Krabi, maybe Koh Samui). Using my favourite bag in the world, the Osprey Skarab 30L. First time flying to Asia and i’m fully ready for the 16 hour flight to destroy me.
Pack list -
On me:
In bag (compression bags):
The only thing I’m hesitant about is my micro-down jacket. It’s mainly for comfort in the plane but i’ve heard everywhere indoors in Thailand (bus shuttles, malls, etc) blast the A/C so it’s good to …
First time one-bagging for a spontaneous solo citytrip with just a personal item. Doing it with what I have so using my rusty old day-to-day backpack. Initially forgot my toothbrush, but realised after taking this pic so it is in my toiletry bag as we speak :)
Hi r/onebag! In March me and my GF are flying to Nepal to go hiking for a month. We haven’t decided on the trek yet, but we’re considering Annapurna Circuit or Langtang. We’d love a trek where we can camp out as much as possible, so if anyone has advice we’d be super thankful! After that we’re going to try to land-route our way down to Vietnam over China if we can get the hands on permits. Then we’ll be trekking in North Vietnam and maybe get some bikes and do the Ha Giang loop.
Once in Hanoi we’re planning to send home the packing cube with the warmer trekking gear, and continue our way down and east, something like: Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia to work on permacultures and travel the land and finally New Zealand.
In New Zealand I will continue on with the Te Araroa through hike (I’ll buy whatever gear is necessary there… Thinking of it, I could also send the packing cube to friends there!)
For the not yet …
For the past 3 weeks I’ve had the CAP .5, CAP 1, and CAP 2.
I bought the CAP .5 to be my glasses, eye drops, contact solution pouch and I bough the CAP 2 as a tech pouch.
Turns out the CAP .5 is PERFECT for my tech…. I have 4 charging cords, and one Anker charger with 3 total slots. In the side pockets I also have some alcohol swabs, cough drops, bandaids, and ibuprofen. The CAP .5 is awesome for this. Apparently I don’t carry enough tech to make the CAP 2 worthwhile.
The CAP 1 functions as my edc pouch…. Cash, credit card, chapstick, small lotion, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, AirPod pros, Ombraz armless sunglasses, mini multitool, pen, 3 small sheets of notepad paper. I often just grab this pouch out of my CPL 6 and throw it in my truck and don’t even take my backpack.
Between CAP 1 and CAP .5 that pretty much covers everything for both everyday and travel.
Cant figure out yet what to use the CAP 2 for….. I’m betting it just becomes an empty pouch that sits around until I have a …
So here the CPL16, an outstanding bag who put all of my bags in closet.
I’m in love with so many bags, Able Carry Max EDC, Aer CPP2, CTB26 e some Alpaka bags but with the CPL16 was so simple to get used to. Maybe I didn’t even need to get used to, like happens with any other bags when you buy.
Nice shapes, nice depth, nice comfort (ehehe hi CTB26! I’m talking with you!) and best in class organization.
I’m using it as EDC/working bag, for me better than CPP2, as a grab’n go free time bag and…for some hiking!
I have a Osprey Talon 22, a bag I use only for outdoor activities I do, but is a really hiking bag, made for sticks, hydro flask and with no organization at all. So when the hike is short and on easy terrain I DO want to take with me this bag even for outdoor activities. So many tools organized in their space, the Quick Access Pockets which come so useful when it’s cold and you only want to put in and put some gloves without pulling your bag off.
I’m really loving the bag. For …
Really pleased with this! For my own needs, have managed to fit 4 cards, 2 folded UK bills and also a Victorinox Swiss Card. Still closes nicely. Well done, Evergoods!
I saw someone posted this one for sale and I’ve never seen this color. Seller confirmed that this is NOT OD green and he also have no idea about the version. Anyone has more information? Thanks!
Not so easy to tell from the photos, but the way the fabric (X-pac on a CPL24) transitions to the straps differs between the two straps. Purely an aesthetic thing, QC issue? Anyone else noticed this? FWIW I didn’t see this on my 840d CPL.
