I play Star Citizen on PC as my main game, and certain parts of the Ul aren’t compatible with Xinput. I use DSX to emulate Xinput on the buttons, and mouse input on the touchpad. I need to retain this setup, but form factor isn’t my main concern. I’m looking for quality and longevity.
Required info:
Budget - $200+
Country: US
Platform: PC
Desired features: Touchpad, Xinput (native or emulation), haptic feedback, wireless
Games: Star Citizen, general games with controller support
Controllers considered: DualSense, DualSense Edge
Thought I’d share this in case anyone was curious how the ZD O+ Excellence looks with Scuf-style back paddles. Personally, I prefer using just the two smaller paddles in the lower slots (like in the second photo) – it feels extremely comfortable for me.
Products covered in this video: K-Silver JS13 Pro (TMR), K-Silver JL16 (capacitive), Ginfull DS13 Max (TMR), and the Mojohn Rainbow 3 controller.

Here’s a quick look at the Vader 5 Pro and some thoughts coming from the Vader 4. I purchased the Vader 5 (and Vader 4) on TaoBao with my own money and have no affiliations with Flydigi.
Just wanted to show size difference ! Hope it helps others.
Brand new Apex 5. I’m certain it’s broken out of the box..which is very disappointing and concerning.
But just to make sure I’m not being an idiot. There is no setting im overlooking that keep the left analog stick from preventing every direction other than left and right correct?
For the last several trips I have taken, I have been trying to fine tune a small tech kit and I feel like I finally have it to a final (for now) version. Before I go over what all is in it, let me go over the purpose.
This gets carried in my under the seat personal item bag when traveling by air, but does get taken on some car trips as well. It has multiple purposes.
Family of 4 (2 teenagers) travelled light to Japan. We also had slings and cross body’s (bellroy and hedgren), bit overall very happy with our choices. Returned with a dirty duffle no purchased a small Japanese made suitcase for the return, as some of our purchases were unexpected!
The Able Cary max edc didn’t get used much day to day, we mostly travelled with the other backpack and slings.
My eldest really liked the Heimplanet which is a really nice bag that doesn’t get much love here.
I’m at the point in my life where I have absolutely embraced the fact that I like what I like and I’m not really swayed by others. I LOVE purple/dark fuscia/purple burgundy. Anything that color seems to come live with me regardless of if I need it or not. What color is that way for you all? Extra points for pictures! These pictures are just a quick grouping of things I use every day (bags included!) that are “my” color! 💜
I’m looking at a lot of backpack options, but I’m not sure which one to go for.
I’ve been a Nike fan for the past 3 years, but lately people have been telling me that Nike backpacks aren’t what they used to be and that made me doubt my “always safe” choice when it comes to backpacks. I’ve been recommended brands like Osprey and Herschel.
The next backpack I buy needs to last at least 5 years (it might seem like a long time, but that’s how long my previous bags usually last), since I use it for everyday carry, school/work and sometimes travel.
Ended up returning toshi for this… much better in my opinion (yes$$$). Straps and fit are more my speed.
I think they may have sent me a return? Because inside a pocket I found a leatherman style ps!!
At first I though, oh cool, every bag ships with a little travel tool. But I looked this thing up, its discontinued, highly sought after, and selling on ebay for $150!!
Haven’t seen any reviews for what seems to be a relatively new product from Cotopaxi (May ‘25 from what I can tell), and wanted to add some value for others the same way this community has done for me. Have only had it a few days and used it once, so don’t consider this a proper review, but still something for people searching for this bag to use to help in decision making.
Why did I buy this bag?
Wanted a small, light weatherproof bag for outdoor walking to protect my new Toshi Rework 20L work/personal item bag. Only needs to carry drinks, food, a spare layer and free up pockets.
18L seemed enough capacity for the above, and I like the shiny look of the rain-proof material on the larger Cotopaxi bags but have no need for a larger Allpa travel bag.
It meets all the above criteria easily and I am very pleased with it, especially at 99 GBP on the UK store. To be clear a lot of day hikers will still prefer more capacity than this bag offers, which I imagine is the …
I bought a one way ticket to Hawaii then Japan, then making my way back home over the span of a few months. Bag is an Osprey Porter 30L.

I’ve been building a comparison database of travel backpacks, about 50 bags, every spec, airline dimensions checked against actual enforcement limits for Ryanair, EasyJet, Spirit, and US domestic.
Here are some of the findings:
52% of bags that brands market as “carry-on” backpacks don’t fit Ryanair’s 55×40×20cm sizer. It’s almost always depth.
The Osprey Farpoint 40, Peak Design 45L, the GoRuck GR2, the Tortuga Pro 40L? Everything Fails. Btw these are the most recommended bags on this sub lol
But that’s not even the wildest thing.
The GoRuck GR2 weighs 5 lbs empty. On Ryanair’s 10kg limit, your bag alone eats 23% of your allowance. The Gossamer Gear Vagabond at 1.25 lbs eats 5.7%. That’s a 17% difference in usable packing weight from the bag alone.
The other thing that stood out is that warranty is all over the place.
Bellroy charges $289 and gives you 3 years. Tropicfeel charges $239 and gives you 2 years. Osprey charges …
Merino wool (Unbound Merino) seems to sponsor a lot of travel people. Si I gave it a try. 1. It’s hot, itchy, uncomfortable 2. All my UNBOUND pieces fell apart long before my UnderArmour gear. 3. Merino wool does not dry fast like they claim.
I’m packing regular cheap nylon underclothes from now on. Merino wool (Unbound) went in the donation bin on my current france trip.
What are some common items people pack in their bags that you think are unnecessary, just take up extra space, or feel like overhyped/trendy that doesn’t actually add real value for their trip?
I’ll start - Notebooks and portable speakers.
Hello everyone,
Been a lurker here for 5 years. Got into the one-bag / ultralight rabbit hole and ended up becoming really passionate with minimalist travel. I finally decided to post a sample load-out I would use for a typical 5 to 7 day leisure trip for countries with fair weather. I don’t get cold easily, so this load-out would be fine for me at most Japanese cities during winter. If it will be really cold at my destination, I would wear / hold an insulated puffer going to the airport with thick trousers.
This load-out is more for leisure travel around SEA and Asia in general due to most budget carriers having strict 7kg limits. The clothes could last me 5 days and indefinitely (if I do laundry). The focus of this load-out was to be as lightweight as possible to fit under the 7kg limit, without compromising on activities like dining in a nice place / drinking out and a little bit of souvenir shopping for small items.
Anyway, here’s my the packing list.

I’ve been getting into onebag, and I’ve been looking for a good way to fly personal item only and include a CPAP without too much extra hassle. I think I landed on something pretty good!
Ingredients:
This Hikeman camera bag, IMO, is the perfect a travel CPAP bag. It’s padded, and fits the CPAP, power supply, mask, and hose with no extra room. It’s a bit less than half the size of the bag that came with the Transcend Mini. If you want to include the CPAP battery the bag extends by just enough to fit that too. The Transcend mini is much bigger than more modern travel cpaps, so this bag should work for those too.
Initially I just clipped the Hikeman bag onto the loops of the Daylite. That worked fantastic, it fit great, but the issue is that it stuck out so far that it was unwieldy. It was also surprisingly finicky to clip and unclip the …
For those that appreciate a good load-out post. I have a few CAP0.5s; one is used for drawing, pencils, pens, etc. This one lives in a CTB26 for travel. Used as an easy grab kit in the airport, on the plane, uber, etc. as a little bit of utility for charging, hygiene, meds, etc.
Glasses, AirPods and other tech live in stash pockets in larger travel pack…

Perfect for carrying the body with ultra thin viltrox 28mm pancake and an additional Samyang 45mm plus chargers, batteries, cables, dongle and others. My go to camera pouch when traveling as it fits so well in all my backpacks.
