My good old original Razer Raiju seems to have finally given up on me, so I’ve been browsing around for pro controllers, and I’ve found searching for the specifications that I want to be kinda difficult. So, why not come to a place where I might have more luck?
I want something similar to my Raiju, since having and using it for god knows how long has gotten me very used to it, to the point other controllers feel a bit weird in my hands.
I’ll be primarily using it on my PC (which my Raiju had very little issue with)
PS4 compatibility would be nice considering I have yet to play Bloodborne, though that’s not necessarily a requirement since I know the PS4 is pretty outdated now.
I’m looking for:
- that standard Xbox shape (or close to it)
- symmetrical joysticks
- at least two fully configurable back paddles
- two fully configurable bumpers at the top
I’m not particularly concerned about the audio controls at the bottom, nor am I concerned …
Apologies for my English, but I’d like to share a tool I’ve been working on with everyone. I currently need a lot of feedback to help fix bugs and make the user experience better.

One thing worth mentioning is that it’s not fully open-source yet, simply because my backend code is still a bit of a mess. I understand this might cause some concern, but I can guarantee there is no malicious code involved.
I’d love for you to try it out. If you encounter any issues, please feel free to report them on the GitHub issues page.
Hey Guys, just wanted to start a thread about this to see how is everyone else is faring.
Of course the only reason we would flip that switch is so we can use our controller in its all capabilities in steam input or rewasd. Although I do have rewasd I haven’t really play with yet as currently there are a number of problems already so I uninstalled it from my system just to make sure its not contributing to any.
At first I thought the issues where coming from the controller itself or flydigi implementation of this feature but I now I am starting to think that maybe steam and the new way of doing things (no d-input anymore) might be at fault.
Lets get one thing out of the way this new “allow 3rd party apps to take control” is clearly superior from d-input cause it doesn’t limit polling rate anymore and it doesn’t limit bit depth either! With d-input everything was working great but the 1000hz polling rate became 500hz and the stick resolution supported …
Just got a new mini keyboard for my travel setup and the gamesir 8+ was on the table and i had a bit of and idea /thought What games could I use with keyboard/controller combo set up ? ,😅 Or even over combos is there a way to project emulators to a second phone screen for playing DS games for example 🙂
I already tried the Skull & Co. Thumbgrips for Xbox, but it’s too loose. I need a smaller thumbgrips.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
Currently traveling with the family. Packing around a $1000 worth of PeakDesign bags. Travel backpack, 35l duffel, 50l duffel and the outdoor 25l (not pictured). Also sporting a decent Kapten & Son diaper bag. And yet, when it comes to packing the bulky kid’s snow suite and some other last minute stuff we still ended up with the maximally ugly but very practical IKEA bag.
I used to be an any color as long as it’s black kind of guy. There’s something about MCB though. I think I have every use case covered except for extended travel. For extended travel, I’ll always use my AZO 32L Amhara Adventurer…which is currently in Black.

I am curious what reasons drive you to change backpacks. I carry an edc pack, I have go bag (dad bag), a sling, and use a different one for travel. I review backpacks, so I am constantly changing out all the time, so I never really get bored with a bag.
Do a lot of you carry a different bag for each use, or do you have that end game pack that takes care of all your needs?
My current personal rotation:
CTB20 for edc (work bag)
CT21+ dyneema for my dad go bag
Citta sling
Levo 36L for traveling
Anyone else annoyed that there are more or less no stores to go and try on bags, to touch them to see how they fit? I love how many options there are but I’m tired of watching YouTube videos. For the most part all these premium brands don’t have any options to try on.
As anyone else interested in the Ocean Blue Max EDC already knows, this bag has been out of stock for months. I don’t even know since when but I wanted to buy it back in September.
I wait patiently after emailing for when it would be back in stock. They told me November…. Then December…. And finally I just got so annoyed that every time their Instagram or Facebook ads would pop up I’d just leave a comment expressing my frustration.
They actually read those comments and after probably 20 or so comments I got a message FROM ablecarry expressing their dismay about their suplly issues ans how they’ve let me down.
I felt bad for acting like a child, but it was great to know the company cares and they reached out.
They sent me this bag ahead of restock which is coming in MARCH! I just wanted to share the good news for those of you who are about to give up.
I had already moved on anf bought the Nomatic Travel Pack, which I LOVE… But I told …
First time one bag traveler, minimal gear, buy nothing unless absolutely necessary. Got upgraded to business class on the flight over (long story involving delayed connection+I was like we live once+I want to try it, yeah). And I wasn’t prepared for onebag mobility + business class comfort that created a WEIRD psychological shift. I suddenly felt like… rich? Not literally rich. But that “rich person traveling light” energy - like CEOs with sleek carry-ons who “just buy whatever they need when they land.”
That mindset is INTOXICATING. Like “Forgot something? “Eh, I’ll buy one.” It’s like onebag mindset accidentally unlocked rich-person freedom. The logic: “I’m not carrying stuff, so buying in-country isn’t breaking my system!” And I had way more fun? The “I’ll figure it out when I land” attitude made me spontaneous. Open to opportunities.
I accidentally cosplayed as wealthy …
Heading to South America. Not sure when I’ll be back. First stop São Paulo. Using the Osprey Daylite 26+6. Here’s a breakdown of the gear:

Hi all! Been lurking for a while since I decided to take a sabbatical and embark on some long term travel, undetermined return date. I’ve already taken on a lot of advice and research from this sub so thank you! I leave in a couple weeks and have done my 3rd practice pack now. After some gentle advice, anything I should obviously leave behind etc. TIA
My rough plan begins in Vietnam, then Nepal, across to southern Europe and up to UK/Ireland eventually.
Very much a go with the flow trip.
I will be utilising workaway and volunteering where I can.
Activities will be highly nature based, I plan to do lots of hikes, with some bigger treks in Nepal.
Pack is the Nemo Women’s Persist Endless Promise 45L. Hoping to sneak this as carry on as much as possible as I don’t trust airlines not to lose it, however it’s dimensions (online) are just over 33L x 34W x 64H cm. Hoping to achieve by compressing as much as possible.
Here’s my list:
Bottoms
• 4 pants: …
For me it would have to be tech pouches, for the vast majority of people I believe that they would be better off with a simple pencil case style pouch, ziploc bag or a simple drawstring bag or even a pouch like the PD ultralight pouches. Something which isn’t bulky, is lightweight and has no structure to it so you can easily squeeze it into random parts of your bag. Of course they’re significantly cheaper as well.
Don’t get wrong, I have tested some high end tech pouches out and they’re very nice but for lightweight travel I just find myself thinking “why would I bring this type of pouch”.
Hi, first thanks to the sub for all the tips, this is my second one bag trip and first long trip. I’m going to Japan for 2 months, 1.5 months doing the Shikoku pilgrimage (think Camino de santiago in Japan) and the rest in cities. After that I’m going to Thailand and then the rest of SEA (no planned return date, maybe 6 months). I tried to take anything I might need but still stay under 7 kg (6.5 kg total weight), appreciate any advice.

Packing List for three weeks in Japan in Feb/March
I am flying to Japan next week from Europe. With me are my Aer TP3 (hand luggage) + sling & tote.
Staying in hotels in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima for some urban and very light nature exploration. Planning to use mostly hotel laundry machines + occasional sink wash.
Before the flight I pack my sling, med kit, pillow and hydroflask into my tote to use as personal item. The TP3 goes overhead.
Happy to hear any thoughts or recommendations and answer questions :)
22L is a balanced size to me. spacious, but not too bulky. I usually go with CHZ if I need laptop, otherwise I go with MPL.
The bags are almost empty in the picture, both of them show a weird “beak” shape around the front pouch. Other than that minor issue they are excellent bags.
How do the CAPs fit in your rotation? Do they do exclusive jobs, or do their jobs change depending on the day/week/month?
I am regularly using all 3 of my Evergoods CAPs.
CAP.5, CAP1, CAP2
My CAP.5 and CAP1 have exclusive jobs in my carry, and my CAP2 rotates.
CAP.5 is my tech kit: 4 charing cords, 65W Anker charger, stylus, Advil, earplugs, and lens wipes
CAP1 is my EDC Essentials: min multitool, cash, credit card, eye drops, lotion, chapstick, mints, AirPods, sunglasses, travel Kleenex, hand sanitizer, 5mah magtec charger, pen, 3 small pieces of paper
CAP2 rotates between extended EDC, a cockpit pouch (I’m a pilot and travel for work), and a nightstand pouch. So a few items that rotate in and out include: eyeglasses, contact case, extra kleenexes, Deep Blue Rub (like icy hot), 10mah battery bank, 5 days of vitamins, kindle paper white, mini essential oils, digital clock, extra AAA batteries, extra lotion, airplane keys
Please let this be a sign. Popped up on Evergoods IG Story. Hoping.🙏🏻
I’ve always had my eye on the CAP1 and continue to hear how much people love it but I’m having the hardest time figuring out a use case for it that would justify $75. Tell me your loadouts and talk me into getting one!
A little extra context: I have a civic half zip (which I love) backpack as my daily backpack that goes to and from the office with me. I have a CAP.5, which is actually one of my favorite bags, that houses all my cables, power brick, sharpie, etc. mostly on the weekends I use my CAS 2L as my daily carry. I keep medicine and Band-Aids for the kids, as well as a bunch of other miscellaneous things that are nice to have being a dad, including my keys, wallet and phone. I think one pain point I have is that during the work week, I always have to grab my keys, my wallet my AirPods and make sure they get into my backpack before heading to work. That would be the only use case so far that I could find.
Thanks!!!
My Evergoods CTB20 (X-Pac) is starting to get fuzzy pilling along the seams and high-friction edges (see photo). I know it’s normal wear, but I want to clean it up.
Since X-Pac is laminated, I’m nervous about using the
“lighter trick” in case the heat warps or damages the waterproof film underneath. Has anyone successfully used a fabric shaver, a lighter, or Fray Check on their X-Pac bags without ruining them? Any advice is appreciated!
Hey guys just recently joined the Evergoods gang and am overall really impressed. I recently noticed this “stitching” on my left shoulder strap I felt when holding onto it one handed and was wondering if this was considered normal or not? Not really a big deal but just wondering if it affects long term durability as I saw some posts of the mesh material tearing over time.
