My ideal everyday carry (EDC) bag is the Wotancraft Easypack, with a perfect 15L capacity. Weighing only 750g, it leaves plenty of weight allowance for the gear I choose to carry.
CPL24 Set-up for anyone interested and researching capacity, etc.

Eight days ago, I was down to four bags and two pouches:
Today, after 8 days and travelling to the United States (from Asia which means, we do not get access to well known Carryology brands), we’ve added four more bags on the collection.
That CTB20 maybe a redundant to the CPP2 so selling when I get home is part of the plan.
I think I can officially say that I am done for the year with bags at 15L, 20L, 24L and 26L.
City Pack 2 (bottom) just feels more sleek, admin panel is super nice on it, very accessible and easy to open/close. Laptop bag being in the main compartment is a non issue, and let’s talk how nice it is to open main compartment - regular ykk xippers that start 1⁄4 from the bottom and ends 1⁄3 on the other side. Big design win it just feels nice to open and close. No AquaGuard zippers except on the frontmost panel. I love how plain jane simple it is yet every feature felt thoughtful. Looks like an actual backpack.
City Pack Pro 2 felt bulkier not in the best of ways. More AquaGuard zippers. Admin panel area felt clunky to use like it just feels tighter. Looks like a lunchbox strapped to your back. Clamshell opening is a big minus for me; it’s supposed to be an EDC style everyday carry not a carryon.
Just (literally!) received the AC Max EDC in Ripstop. Just some very preliminary pics of that and the AER CPP2 Cordura side by side. More in depth once I use them IRL ( the last pic is of the Ripstop under very bright light)
Turns out, I was a One Bagger before I even knew it.
I set off with almost no preparation, grabbing the lightest backpack I already owned.
By the end of the trip, nearly all my clothes had been replaced—except for a single pair of shorts that somehow survived. Thats in case you still think there’s no conspiracy among manufacturers to sell us things that fall apart quickly 🫠
My sling bag stayed inside the backpack because, well, low-cost airlines are always a gamble.
And long before this photo, my trusty flip-flops— the ones that carried me through all of Southeast Asia—had already given up.
I recently started doing long haul flights (12+ hrs) every few months, so most things here are to help make them easier. If you’re mostly onebagging short distances or do it less frequently, these items may not apply to you.
Note: RyanAir and Wiz airlines WERE checking!
You can get lucky if you make your bag not look obvious (e.g. backpack on one shoulder to the side where it’s not obvious to the gate agent it’s oversized)
And yes, I tried an Osprey 26+6 Daylite. You will not pass the bag check.
I had a trip to Indonesia (Jakarta and several places in Bali). Due to some reasons I needed to bring more items than I’d need to but whatever.
I’m not really a digital nomad but close so everything is black, Macbook Pro and Sony WH-1000XM4 are requirements, haha.
I planned to have a bit of mountain hiking so I needed a bit of warm gear.
I had three flights, all with AirAsia. My bags were over weight limit but they don’t care, almost everyone used probably overweighted roller suitcases with no problems.
Curious who first came up with the packing cube concept. I def like my packing cubes and I know bag concepts get copied quite a bit
Edit: reddit is blocking me from replying to comments or commenting. Maybe I hit a daily limit. Thank you to everyone for commenting and replying. I learned about a bunch of cool bags and features today. Def getting a vacuum compression bag. I’ve been reading and upvoting all comments
I obsessed over which one bag to buy for about a year. Couple of times I decided “this is it”, but never pulled the trigger. Whichever bag it was at the time was either missing a feature or two on my wishlist, or had stuff I didn’t want, etc. When the GlobeRider 35 dropped, it had pretty much the perfect magical mix (for me at least). If anyone is interested in what my wishlist was and which ones i decided against and why, lmk and i can try to post it.
So buckle up fu*kleheads, here’s my review of the Matador GlobeRider35.
I might not go over every single feature, especially if it’s well-covered elsewhere, but there’s a few things I tried especially to cover if i haven’t seen it in other reviews.
Overall: 35L is the right size for me—i wanted something carry-on that would mostly fly under airline notice. But I have stuff, and smaller capacity would mean sacrifices I don’t want to make.
Materials are top notch, I love Matador’s stretch mesh used on the front pocket and …
This probably isn’t my last time chiming in about the brand for the subreddit, but we are at the end of the items I have to speak on. I guess I could write about some of the stuff I’ve gotten rid of or returned; that would be a lot. I think it’s best to say that this is gonna be it for a while. Here are a bunch of items with very little theme or connecting thread. Enjoy.
This is one of my favorite pieces and weirdly one of the longest running in my wardrobe from OUTLIER. Just wonderful luxury and also incredible utility. I would say without a doubt that this is the best shirt I have for hot and humid days. Air just pours through this and moisture wicks off of it. I never felt that this looked sloppy like linen or sticky like synthetic meshes. I would compare this to that chainmail feeling that Ramielust has, albeit in a much softer and denser feeling. There’s still some opacity to it, but I think it’s fine enough to not be …
