Hi, I’ve been working on this bad boy for the last couple of months. It’s a custom game controller called VS-1. As you can see, the D-pad and the face buttons (ABXY) have been moved to the front, next to the bumpers, in the form of hat switches. This way you can access 16 buttons with both of your ☝️, which, according to tests, have the fastest reaction time of all the fingers. Let me know what you think.
Apologies if this is not the right place for this type of post, but im looking to buy this controller and would like some opinions on whether its genuine or fake. The way it stands inside the box seems rather odd to me, since it is a bit tilted, but could just be misplaced. Anyone got a better idea?
Looking for my first controller mainly for PC + occasionally macOS.
Budget: $35–45
Country: Uzbekistan (buying from AliExpress or Ozon)
Options I’m considering:
• Aolion K20 TMR – TMR sticks + charging dock
• GameSir Nova 2 Lite – bundle with travel case
• 8BitDo Ultimate 2C – seems reliable brand
• Flydigi Direwolf 4 – \~$10 more but includes a case also seems more premium, but find that price only on one seller so kinda doubting reliability
I’m new to controllers so not sure about the features, I just need some comfortable and long lasting one
Use case
• Windows PC (prefer 2.4GHz dongle)
• macOS sometimes (Bluetooth probably)
• Games: roguelikes, open-world, racing, fighting, FIFA
The K20 looks cool (TMR + dock) but the brand is unknown.
GameSir / 8BitDo / Flydigi feel safer.
For reference in the image 1$=12k uzs, so its like 40 bucks
👉 Which one would you pick and why?
👉 Is the Direwolf 4 worth the extra $10?
I tried the 8bitdo leverless, and the 8bitdo m30. Unfortunately both of those controllers hurt my hands..
The leverless had the buttons too far spaced apart, and the M30 had an amazing d pad, but I found the buttons on the face too stiff..
So I ended up back at the Xbox Series Controller (1914).
I put a custom case on it, I stuffed the d pad with tape (it kinda made it quieter? If anyone has any better suggestions to quiet it down please mention below.)
And I put tape below the ABXY buttons in order to shorten the throw, it’s made the buttons much easier to press.
And I put rubber bands on the left joystick in order to quiet it down and shorten the throw as well.
•Mouse Click Bumpers & Triggers (D2LS-11 Switches)
•Mouse Click Face Buttons (D2LS-11 Switches)
•Added 5 rear Buttons (rear paddles disabled)
•Rumbles removed along with plastic housing that holds them in place
•Mic & internal speaker removed
•Shell Swap to Matte Grey (ExtremeRate)
The controller was heavy and difficult to hold securely with one hand. Now it is heavy.
Got the Able Carry Max EDC for my trip to Japan. I couldn’t wait to get it there so I bought it today.
Disclaimer: Aer provided me with the Day Sling 4 ahead of the official release for review purposes. No money exchanged hands, but I do get to keep the bag. The opinions in this review are entirely my own; Aer does not get to see this review before it’s published. No links in this review are affiliate links.
The Day Sling 4 is my first-ever Aer product, and I couldn’t ask for a better introduction to the brand.
While I do prefer lightweight slings like the Bellroy Venture Ready or the Alpaka Flow Satchel, and the Day Sling 4 is far from that with its rigid structure and 350 grams of weight, the Day Sling has become my current everyday small(ish) sling thanks to the buttery-smooth 1680D ballistic nylon, lightning-fast zippers (far better than those on the Bellroy or Alpaka), smart organization, plenty of volume, and comfy strap.
Two drawbacks still stand out after two weeks of use: jiggly zippers and a cheap-feeling buckle. I do absolutely love the zippers for the opening and …
Got this very small porter sling bag for my Fuji camera so I can bring it anywhere and to free my pocket of keys, wallets, etc.
I’m just new to bags and wanted to know more about this brand.
Hello! This is Alfred, a new reviewer working with Nomads Nation, reporting live from Japan!
This time I am looking to share my thoughts with you after taking the Aer Travel Pack 4 (28L) and the Aer Day Sling 4 (2.5L) to Japan for the past week.
I’ve previously owned the Travel Pack 3 Small and the Day Sling 3 for a few years and used them on a few trips before, so I thought it would be a good chance to share some of my early thoughts from a real world usage perspective.
I would note that Aer has sent us the bag early for testing prior to launching, but I am looking to share all the thoughts I’ve gathered - both positive and negative.
Overview
This is the main bag for most of my trip. Full disclosure, my actual load out was: a small carry-on suitcase + the Travel Pack 4 (28L) + the Day Sling 4 (2.5L). But most of my stuff fits …
Yeah I’m taking fashion shots and trying to look cool. Laugh all you want but I know you do it too.
Pics are CAS2, Toshi 2.5, Bellroy Venture 2.5, and Chrome Barrage.
The first 3 show them at near max length. The Chrome has even more length because it’s insane.
It’s a good thing the CAS2 looks good high and tight because it’s the only way I can wear it.
Wanted to post this for all you big people out there.

Howdy! Here’s a quick overview of a short but pretty intense 5-day trip to Iceland in February. Temps dipped down to around “feels like” 8°F / –13°C, with plenty of snow and wind.
During the trip I hiked in a national park, stood around in brutal cold waiting for the aurora, strolled around snowy harbors, and even went swimming while it was hailing. I wanted to show that with a little planning and thoughtful layering, it’s possible to onebag even in really cold climates. I’ve included a few photos to give a sense of the conditions I was dealing with, and below I’ll break down what worked, what didn’t, and my full load-out.
What worked:
I work remotely as a software engineer. While this means I get to work anywhere there’s wifi, it also means packing extra gear so my eyes and hands don’t hurt after a couple hours of hunching over a small laptop.
After a few years of trial and error, I’ve struck a decent balance: fewer clothes and toiletries leaving more space for an ergonomic mobile work setup.
As a chronic overpacker, I really wanted to get into onebag travel. I probably could do better still so please have mercy, while I‘m still adjusting to the mindset.

Hey /r/onebag! Thank you guys for all the inspiration and help setting up my kit🫶🏼 Here’s my final (but not unshakeable) setup for Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, western China, SEA, New Zealand (and maybe Japan).
Our travel will start in Nepal followed by Kyrgyzstan for trekking and camping. If we can get the right documents we’ll land-route our way to Vietnam through China. After Vietnam we’ll wing it down towards New Zealand for the Great Walks, maybe stopping by Japan to do the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage circuit on our way back (whenever that is, ha!)
Here’s my lighterpack
Downgraded from 36L to 30L, Deuter Trans Alpine 30. The bag works as both nice minimalist backpacking and short adventure bag. It has main compartment that can divided in two, is compact and has superior harness with a functional hip-belt. It was very comfortable during transit, long walks and firm while quick grabs bike taxis during the 7 day trip in Thailand.

After much deliberation, I finally pulled the trigger. Treated myself to a CTB20, CAP2, CAP1, CAP.5 and an EBW.
I’ve got say the materials look and feel amazing. The quality is top notch and 0 back digging. I guess I’m lucky and also in danger of buying more Evergoods stuff. Send help.
I’ve had my CPL24 for almost a year and always felt it was just a bit too big for true everyday carry. Finally pulled the trigger on a CTB20 and I’m loving it ,especially those dual side bottle pockets, it’s a Total game changer
A year ago I swore to myself “I will never buy an Evergoods bag…never!” This commitment to myself came from reading/watching so many reviews that they were uncomfortable, straps needed work and for me, expensive.
Well, I just added my third Evergoods bag…the CHZ22 🤦
The first EG bag I purchased after promising myself never to purchase one was the CTB26. Well, that was a bad idea because I love that thing. I took it on a 6 week trip last year which I one bagged. Phenomenal. On some days I could see what the comments were referring to about the straps and general comfort. I had a lot packed in it but for most of the trip I genuinely loved the way it contoured on my back. I realized quickly that wear it tight ws they key to its comfort. Too tight and it would eat into my shoulders so loosen it just a little from there and it was more than fine.
So then I promised myself. No more Evergoods….that’s it. No more.
But then, they had to go and release …
Per today’s email they will produce all 3 of the products they listed for this preorder. The CAP2 hit MOQ in about a week and the two CTBs are both at over 400 units reserved and any remaining slots will be produced and sold by EG.
This is very encouraging that this worked (even though I had little doubt that it wouldn’t) as I’m hoping we see more of this in the future. I think it’s a lot better than producing a limited amount people have to fight to get and instead allows for whoever wants one to get one.
Hey,
I used my mpl22 kuddle for about 1 month straight on a trip to Argentina and the US but the zippers are still very stiff. Do they ever get better? I love everything else about thr bag but am considering selling and getting a different version….
For the past several months since getting my CPL16 (first EG bag), I’ve been using the front vertical pocket to hold my CAP1, which is basically my EDC pouch (chapstick, eye drops, cash, mints, AirPods, hand sanitizer, lens wipes, mini Kleenex, small knife).
However, I’m starting to put the CAP1 now inside the main compartment and just drop items in the vertical pocket, as it’s an easy a grab and go pocket. If the CAP1 is in there, then it’s an extra step to pull out the pouch, open it up, and grab what I need, versus just grabbing what I need out of the pocket itself.
How do you use the vertical pocket?
