What if Logitech suddenly woke up in 2026 and remembered gamepads exist?
Like… imagine they skip the “safe G-series plastic controller” phase and drop something absurd:
Full Hall Effect + TMR sticks
Rapid trigger on analogs (yep, why not)
8K polling wired and wireless
Optical switches on every button
Entire shell made of magnesium / carbon fiber / aluminum (because plastic is for 2005)
Meanwhile reality:
Their last serious gamepad feels like it time-traveled from the early 2000s.
So the real question is:
Would Logitech actually cook like this… or just release a $79 “Pro” controller with RGB and call it innovation?
Won it 2 weeks ago (first time I’ve ever won anything!) and wanted to say thank you to Gulikit.
First impressions: I don’t game a lot and therefore don’t have much experience with controllers, but I always wanted a little more functionality than my previous Gamesir Nova Lite (which is really good for its price), though not enough to justify buying a new one.
I really like the design. At first, I thought the all-black look would be boring since I usually prefer flashy and colorful designs, but in person it looks really sleek.
I don’t like that the D-pad is too close to the left stick because I keep accidentally touching it when using D-pad, and vice versa. It’s not a major issue, and I can get used to it, but still. The D-pad itself is nice (all the buttons feel great, especially the bumpers).
Oh, and I’m really excited about APG macros. That will be useful in grindy JRPGs.

Before diving in: When it comes to such versatile devices as controllers, we all have different expectations based on personal preferences, target platforms, use cases, and even favorite game genres. For me, what matters most is the overall feel of interacting with a controller and the emotions it brings me. That’s why my review will focus more on that experience rather than raw numbers. If I missed something, please go easy on me – and feel free to ask about it in the comments. Still, whatever you value most in a controller, I hope you’ll find something useful in this review.
Choosing controller for the Nintendo …
I’ve drawn a rough idea of what I need. You see I play a LOT of side scrollers and I often find myself scratching the hell out of my left trigger due to the fact I have to constantly push it at an angle and I also have slightly longer nails I prefer to maintain. I do speak to a couple people I know in my animation and games course and everyone had no clue if such thing existed. They also mentioned how uncomfortable it looks lol. But I honestly really like the shape and I’ve been dealing with a basic rubber grip with a ball of blue tack stuck over the top of it. I hate when my controller has a rim and a dip in the middle of it, this however allows me to slide my thumb across easily without letting it slip out of my grip. (I do hold my co trollers very messily I know) I’ve tried to use other extendable grips and some that are shaped obscure however all of them suck for me.
If anyone’s interested in maybe checking or if they know a link that can take me to what I may need. I’d be forever …
Disclaimer: I’m from Brazil and yes, I do know that shipping here has a lot of problems, but still I have always bought things from Aliexpress/Temu/Alibaba and never had an Issue.
About 2 weeks ago I did a purchase of some thumbsticks and pads for the vader 5 pro at Gadgethyper, and at the time everything seemed fine, they were delivering normally to Brazil and I was just waiting for my products to arrive, a week and a half later, the products were denied entrace in my country due to “lack of information on the package”, a problem that at first I never had with other stores from China. I sent a message on Gadgethyper’s discord and they told me that “suddenly” they were not shipping to Brazil anymore, I tried talking to the government branch that deals with shipping and deliveries here in Brazil but they told me that it could not be solved and the product would be returned. I went to GadgetHyper’s support and asked for a refund, they told they …

Gamesir finally released an updated version of their already awesome G7 Pro and yes it’s an upgrade.
The controller is already listed on Gamepadla with incredible input latency results.
Differences:
• JS13 Pro Joysticks
• 8k polling rate
• Smaller 2.4 GHz dongle
• New designs (see below)
• Nintendo Switch 1⁄2 support (incl. NS2 wake-up)
• No native Xbox support (Brook XB3 works fine with the G7 Pro 8k)
• No trigger rumble
• Gamesir Connect Software (as Nexus is only for Xbox licensed models)
The list is pretty small but the JS13 Pro sticks fit the controller incredibly well and are already worth to give the 8k version a shot. Overall it’s an awesome successor to the normal G7 Pro if the Xbox license is not needed.
Feel of quality is the same. I never had failing triggers on any of my G7, so I can’t say anything …
I’ve been caught out way too many times without a jacket, some a nice day out suddenly becomes rain or cold. I mostly carry a sling with me, but rarely carry extra clothing.
That got me thinking 🤔 instead of carrying a separate packable jacket (which is mostly dead space), why not integrate it into something I already carry every day?
I’ve been silently tinkering for the past 5-6 months, and finally ended up with this:
a 2.5L sling that transforms into a Gore-Tex jacket without needing to empty the bag.
The idea was to eliminate wasted space while keeping both modes fully usable. The jacket pockets double as the sling storage, so everything stays accessible in both modes.
I chose Gore-Tex for durability, waterproofing, and all season use, for it works well over a base layer even in colder conditions.
Pretty stoked to finally bring this idea to life after thinking about it for years.
Curious what you guys think.
I recently bought a Heroclip (Small) for a trip to Boston to use with my travel day bag (Able Carry Thirteen).
I was very reluctant to spend $25 on a carabiner, but after a couple of days, I had already forgotten about it (which, to me, is a sign that it was money well spent).
Like [probably] everyone buying a Heroclip, I was between the Mini and the Small, but this video gave me the confidence to go with the Small, and it was absolutely the right choice.
My main goal was to hang my backpack on cafe counters, restaurant tables, and public restroom doors - and it was perfect for those use cases. The Small was almost an exact fit for most places, and the Mini would have been too small.
A lot of you mentioned wanting a more subtle, everyday version without the techwear heavy look.
I was already working on a cleaner variation while keeping the core functionality intact.
Now there are two versions:
• Techwear version (previous post)
• Minimal / everyday version (this one)
Curious which one you prefer.
This particular project’s been super interesting and engaging in a nice way.
My 1st version, “Techwear,” received overwhelming responses, useful suggestions, and a few custom requests.
I got tons of requests for a normal jacket with concealed pockets, which I did in the 2nd version.
Then came this request for an entirely different bag profile and larger capacity in olive green.
So this sling offers 3–3.5L capacity, arm vents, and a lightweight jacket you can ideally wear all season, be it as a light rain jacket, windbreaker, or to keep you insulated in chilly weather. Since it’s made of Gore-Tex, it can be worn as an outer layer even during cold weather.
Since I’ve been building in public, and as per the request of many, here’s the 4th custom version of the dual sling Gore-Tex jacket.
I’m open to more interesting custom requests.
I finally feel happy with my current setup and I’m hoping I can take a break from obsessing over bags as it’s starting to feel unhealthy haha.
Work EDC - Aer CPP 20L
Able Carry Max EDC - long weekends and work/gym
Bellroy Transit Pack Pro - week+ trips and international travel (expansion helps a lot)
Matador Refraction - packable for trips or weekends
Peak Design Outdoor Sling 4L - haven’t tested yet, but plan to use it as a personal item + hiking
I posted here almost two years ago after taking my onebag for five months around the world (2024 post). I’ve made a lot of changes since then and I wanted to share them.
My biggest update has been achieving the holy grail of weight limits: 7kg. This is a common cutoff for what counts as a personal item on many airlines around the world. Instead of putting my bag in the overhead bin, I can now fit it under the seat in front of me.
It took a lot of optimizations to make this happen. A big one was switching from the Aer Travel Pack 3 to the Almond Oak Expandable Travel Backpack. I’m a big fan of the Almond Oak pack. It’s super lightweight and the design is really well thought out.
I’ve also been optimizing a lot of the little things, like what goes into my toiletry bag and how I charge my phone. The weight savings aren’t as drastic here, but the quality of life improvement of having a better system can be substantial.
I’ve been spending more time in colder weather lately and I added a …
Happy Wednesday my dudes. I’m calling this mod the ‘26+6+1’ because the small crossbody bag has a 1L capacity. Maybe people have done this before but I haven’t seen it.
[skippable context]
I was able to get a 40% Osprey Discount bringing the 26+1 down from €100 to €60. Unfortunately there was a €15 delivery fee. Free delivery for orders above €75 though! So I added the Small Crossbody bag to the order to avail of the free delivery thinking I could maybe attach it somehow, bringing the total to around €79.
Ingredients:
- Daylite Expandable Travel Pack 26+6
- Daylite Small Crossbody
That’s all you need!
There are loops all along the sides of the crossbody bag that you can thread the strap through (pictured). You can also extend the strap to its longest position and us the Crossbody bag as a tiny front/backpack. it’s fairly small and you could hide it beneath a jacket or jumper when boarding the plane.
When the strap is threaded …
I’ve been traveling more and more with furoshiki (Japanese wrapping cloths), and honestly they’ve become one of the most versatile items in my bag.
I usually pack:
Instead of rigid packing cubes or extra bags, I just use cloth. It weighs almost nothing, adapts to any shape, and replaces a surprising number of items.
What I use them for:
Materials that work:
You don’t need “official” furoshiki. I’ve used:
Basically anything square-ish works. …
After a couple of long trips this year, I feel like I’ve finally dialed in a toiletry setup that actually works for me without overpacking.
I try to keep everything compact but still comfortable enough for daily use, especially since I’m usually staying in mixed accommodations.(hotel, hostels, Airbnb)
First and foremost, a simple waterproof toiletry bag is essential. Mine’s from IKEA. And I just pack things that work and don’t cause problems. There are a few I’d particularly like to recommend.
Curious what others consider worth the space but not in their toiletry kits.
Hi all!
Long time lurker but first time poster, learnt a lot from this subreddit and just wanted to share my experience. Apologies for any mistake, but English is not my first language.
Disclaimer, not my first onebag trip but never ended up posting until this trip, where it was actually my wife who suggested to post it. She is fully onboard with travelling with just one backpack!! I even gave to her my old backpack (tomtoc navigator t66 28l)
Together with the wifey, we just came back from a 1.5 week across UK, visiting London, York and Edinburgh, while still having one-day trips to several other locations here and there, where both of us onebagged (ish).
We expected rainy & cold weather, and therefore had to go out and buy some stuff before the trip as we leave in a city with no rain and no cold. However, at the end of the day, no rain at all (Crazy!), except for one night when we were out doing a night Ghost tour.
Therefore, pretty much all of the rain stuff did not end …
I got a very sudden opportunity to travel to Europe via cruise, and I decided I might as well stay for a while!
I started on the cruise April 3rd, and I’ll be in the country from April 17th-May 27th.
I don’t have to work, but I’ve been getting into taking and editing photos a lot recently so I wanted to be able to continue that. This Macbook is very slow and old anyways, so I don’t mind too much if it gets lost or stolen.
Areyteco 50L travel bag. A free handme down that saved me time and money of deciding on a more contained, higher tech option. With the straps it shrinks down decently small, but we’ll see if European airlines agree…
