Alchemist is my solo project, nearly 2 years in development as of now.
It’s based on the premise of a character whose strength isn’t in physical or magical power, but rather in his ingenuity, complimented by the game’s turn-based nature. As the title suggests, he is an alchemist, making use of various tools and potions to solve both combat and non-combat challenges in a highly interactive world, akin to immersive sims. The world itself is procedural, and the gameplay consists of exploration and resource management.
Combat encounters rely on knowing your enemy and bringing the right tools to the battle, and can often be avoided completely or trivialized if you’re smart about them.
The game is in active development, but the beta is released for Windows, Mac and Linux, and completely playable, with at least a dozen hours of content. The game is currently pay-what-you-want.
