Hi all,
A couple of years ago, I made a small application that can pause un-pausable cutscenes - you can read my initial post on r/pcgaming here.
Since that initial thread, I have made the source code available for the application. It is developed using C++/Qt for those curious.
From today, the application has also been approved and released on Steam
For those who have never heard of it before, I hope it brings some use to you.

A new VR mod has been released for RE7 & 8. I’m currently playing 7, and I’d just like to write a bit about this mod, because I’m pleasantly surprised.
The VR implementation here is quite good. It’s way better than something like Vorpx, because it sports full motion controls, but I also didn’t have to do a lot of configuring as almost everything just worked for me. Now, there are a couple of graphical settings that outright do not work well with this mod, but I don’t consider that a huge drawback, because the game is still great-looking.
As I wrote, you got full motion controls; you can aim freely and crouch, but there are also other nice things like gesture-based healing, blocking and you can even destroy certain things granted you are using a weapon.
The immersion is fantastic. It’s my first playthrough and I just got done with the dinner scene, and it felt so real! I genuinely reacted when that guy threw food at me. This game so far …
