surprised Pikachu face
Heads up, some spoilers ahead.
At the start of this year, I told myself that I was going to branch out and try new things. This includes consuming different forms and genres of media that I’ve traditionally been hesitant to jump into in the past. One of those genres for me is JRPGS.
Historically, I haven’t had a lot of luck or enjoyment with the genre, with a few exceptions like the Pokémon series and The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age on the original Xbox.
I’ve always loved western RPGs but the speed of combat and the complexity of the worlds in JRPGs often turned me off from the genre.
I am a big fan of Akira Toriyama’s art and his work has been my primary interest in anime and manga, with me just now starting to branch out into other areas of those mediums as well. So, when I decided to pick an old school JRPG to try, Chrono Trigger kept coming to mind.
A few weeks ago, the game was on sale on Steam for about $3. I decided it was time to branch out and …
I am a solo developer (ex-Blizzard) working on a roguelike tactics game called Critter Crossfire. It replaces the random hit chance of other tactics games with skill-based aiming by making YOU aim the shots in first person. There are over 100 wacky physics-based items that you can mix and match to build the perfect loadout, bringing a uniquely chaotic gameplay experience to the XCOM formula.

There’s a demo on steam if you’d like to give it a try. The game will be in NextFest in June and I’m planning to release shortly after in the summer.
So far, the Oblivion Remaster has sold more copies than Expedition 33. Six days after each game’s respective launch:
On Steam, Oblivion sold 1.4 million copies on Steam and Expedition 33 sold 708.2K On PlayStation, Oblivion sold 590K copies and Expedition 33 sold 343.9K On Xbox, where both games launched on Game Pass, Oblivion reached 3.2 million players and Expedition 33 reached 1.3 million.
The PC port of this game is still shit in 2025, no other way to put it. The bugs range from funny like NPC’s running against a wall to pretty annoying. In some areas it was pretty common to have FPS drops so severe that forced me to restart the game. In other times the mini-map went dark forcing me to restart the game - again. Not unplayable by any means, but annoying as hell.
Besides, how a 2021’s AAA game doesn’t have DLSS support? Really? The PC port was clearly and afterthought at launch and continued to be so in the years after.
That said, even without DLSS it runs pretty well on a RTX 4060ti in 1080p, 60 FPS with maximum settings. Probably it was pretty heavy on a 2021’s GPU, but on today’s middle range hardware was pretty ok.
2) Story and Setting
The game takes place on Yara, a fictional caribbean country heavily inspired in Cuba. Some people called it a “cuban revolution simulator” and that’s partially true but …
Xtreme Gaming takes it 3-0 over Yakult’s Brothers, but both teams secure themselves a slot in the upcoming Dreamleague Season 26.
Congratulations to Ame, Xm, Xxs, XinQ and Poloson!
If popular streamers promote content like this, how will players below wont do it?

I believe they realized they needed a tighter playtest again when they released hero labs and the abandon rate was crazy high. They weren’t getting useful data or feedback for one of the main areas they wanted to focus on developing so they adjusted. I think the fact that hero labs existed at all implies at the point it was created, they expected to keep updating it and adding experimental heroes.
That roster that leaked with 10 more heroes in the lab? That could have been our lab.
I swear to god every time I announce I’m going in with my ult or a charge and give a small delay so its not a surprise, my entire team just scatters off to the jungle or base despite a great opportunity for a team fight
