Today the Never Games team is announcing that the Final Factory demo is available on steam!
Final Factory is a top down automation game set in space inspired by Factorio. I’ve been working on the game solo for nearly 5 years, and quit my job last year to go full time on it. Since then I’ve put together a small team and we are planning an EA launch later this year. Before that however, we wanted to give you a taste of what is to come so we have put together a playable demo.
The demo includes the first tier of Asteroid Science (and a little extra), the full playable map, and 10-25 hours of replayable content. As always if you have any questions or would like to leave feedback …

This is a special project for us because it expands the world of Driftland that we introduced in our first game, Driftland: The Magic Revival. We recently had the opportunity to showcase our game at PAX East in Boston, and we’re excited to share it with you.
In our game, you play as the dwarf Tru, who, along with his dragon Ragna, must unravel the mystery of his father’s disappearance and ensure the salvation of his clan.
First Dwarf can be played in single-player, co-op, and multiplayer modes.

Hi, I am Daniel, currently working in a team of two on an upcoming space-sim and strategy game - Space Reign, which is inspired by titles such as Homeworld, Freespace, Battlestar Galactica and The Expanse. You may have already stumbled upon it during the Steam Next Fest in February, where we had a demo available.
General information: An indie space-sim and strategy game featuring ship and fleet combat mixed with management of a private space corporation. Claim sectors for your faction and raise its influence in the near-future, where resource exploiting corporations are in a state of constant conflict over territory control.
Regarding scope it is much smaller than games such as the X4 Foundations, focusing mainly on fleet loadouts and combat without complex economic or empire management mechanics.

Hey folks, please let me know if this doesn’t fit the community guidelines. I wrote a post detailing the history of Prototype and how it was made. I remember having great fun when I was playing it and wanted to know a bit more about the game and how it was made. here is all I could find about the game. I wish there was a bit more documentation on the making of it beyond just the marketing jargon of what the game is. I did a similar article on God of War too (PS2) but that has a much richer history and there was a lot of information about how the team went ahead to develop it and the challenges they faced.

Hello r/Games, last time I posted an Indie Sunday was back in October and we’ve been very busy since then!
First up a description on what SENTRY is for those who have never seen us before. We’re an action tower-defense game where you must defend your spaceship from aliens. You can use traps & turrets to repel the invaders, as well as taking the fight directly to the enemy in fast-paced FPS action. You get to do cool things like slam blast doors shut (which the aliens will cut through) and vent baddies out into space!

First time posting here and very excited to share my game with you! We’re a couple working on Where Birds Go to Sleep, a suspenseful, terrifying ^(but beautiful) narrative adventure game where you DON’T CONTROL the protagonist! Instead, you play as the subconscious of a criminal stranded on a prison island, only influencing his actions, “pulling the strings”, so to say (this can result in you having arguments directly with the protag, if you both want different things!)
The game features a lot of secrets, sprawling, nuanced branching dialogue with full voice acting, and exploration/survival elements (not in the current public demo). We’re working towards a bigger, feature complete demo.
We are told our game scratches that Disco Elysium itch writing wise, let us know what you think! Happy to answer any questions you might have.

Or do you still mostly just focus on rasterization performance above all else? Just interested to see if general thinking has changed over the last 4 1⁄2 years.
Generally FSR 2 does most of what DLSS 2 does, but I still see some people swear by DLSS as the better option. Does that matter to you as well? Do you even regularly use these upscalers or try to avoid them?
