I’ve got a few friends playing games who have disabilities. One is legally blind so they need a little help identifying things better and the other is completely deaf. I have a family member who also has physical disabilities and so it’s been very weird seeing how barebones the accessibility in Starfield is compared to other recent games.
The game sold and reviewed well but it doesn’t seem to have generated enough controversy to keep up with the news cycle, so I’d love to know how people are feeling about it with a little distance.
Do the core gameplay systems satisfy? What about the customization? How does the game compare mechanically to its predecessors or to the Souls model? Is it replayable?
Is the narrative and lore interesting? Does it maintain or eschew the minimalist storytelling we’ve seen from the studio in recent years?
How are the graphics and performance?
For everyone who doesn’t know, War of the Monsters is a old PS2 arena style fighting game that featured giant monsters (kaiju like godzilla) fighting each other in different stages. It was 3D and the characters could move freely around the stage, climb buildings, pick up various environmental objects such as cars, construction beams, antennas and much more. Most of the stages could be completely destroyed and many had particular unique interactions such as triggering volcano eruptions or earthquakes etc.
It was received really favourably at the time and provided a truly unique and fun experience, with a lot of interesting ideas that were seldom found in other games in the same genre. Yet it never managed to achieve true long lasting success, sold a solid yet unimpressive amount of copies, and was mostly forgotten except for a certain cult status following. It did receive a PS3 and PS4 re-release.

Now for those who have played it; why do you think the game …
For me, it was Fallout 4. Seven hours in, I felt too overwhelmed by it and wasn’t intrigued enough to “push through it”. I get why people praise it, but for some reason it did not grab me.
