Castlevania Belmont’s Curse is a game that feels thoughtfully designed from beginning to end, constantly finding ways to reinvent itself. With a better balance between boss fights and regular enemies, along with a more streamlined approach to revisiting previously explored areas, it could have been close to perfection. Even so, I think it’s a more than solid comeback for a franchise returning to the spotlight after so many years. As long as Konami maintains this level of quality, I’ll continue to look forward to all its upcoming releases. Hopefully, this game marks the definitive return of Castlevania.

What a time to be alive. But in the last few days, I was getting completely overwhelmed trying to star and bookmark every single new PC port and recompilation popping up on GitHub and YouTube (Wind Waker HD, God of War 3 Remastered, P.T., Bloodborne, Smash Bros 64, etc.).

Today I found the website The Gaming Emporium and honestly it’s awesome. It basically brings all fan-made PC ports, decompilations, and recompilations together in one searchable place.

If your GitHub and browser bookmarks are an absolute mess like mine were, definitely give this site a look!
