Do we think this is so the tickets go live after Silksong releases? I know joining the waitlist to buy pre-sale tickets is easy, but the average HK fan does not know this. What they would know, however, is that the tickets have gone live, and Silksong has not gotten a release date yet, so they’ll buy the tickets. This leads to the scalping issue. Unless… Silksong is getting an announcement after July 17th but before the 31st, and TC told them, leading ACMI to delay…

Is there any other reason they’d delay the general sale but not presale? This feels like the only explanation…

Capcom has revealed that revenue generated through Steam grew by 61.1% in the past fiscal year (April 2024 to March 2025), reaching roughly $366 million USD. This accounts for 31.1% of Capcom’s total revenue.  

As indicated by GameBiz, Capcom has seen revenue from Steam sales gradually increase for the past four consecutive years, with the latest leap being the most significant – from 21.5% to 31.1% of total yearly revenue. Moreover, these figures are based on Capcom’s companywide revenue (meaning revenue from other businesses like amusement facilities is included), but when looking at Capcom’s digital entertainment business separately, Steam accounted for 42.1% of revenue. 

On the other hand, it seems that sales generated through PlayStation have decreased. In the previous fiscal year, PlayStation accounted for 10.5% of total (companywide) revenue, while this year, the figure has been omitted from Capcom’s reports due to it slipping below 10%.

This argument against Stop Killing Games is actually so funny to me, and I imagine to alot of others who have or used to play Final Fantasy XIV.

FFXIV already started in implementing the ability to play through the content Single Player by adding NPC party members to Dungeons etc. And this was 3 years ago!

So even though the Stop Killing Games imitative doesn’t say this has to be a thing or a thing it supports, the argument still doesn’t hold up because it is already a thing and tbh, it was done pretty well from my experience.

I just wanted to get it out there as it annoys me that I keep hearing that argument but no one mentioning this.
