Prefacing this by saying that the talk their producer, Daichi Saito, presented at CEDEC 2025 is untranslated but it’s an interesting look into the thoughts of a relatively successful indie publisher on PC. The article is already a summary of that talk so let me go through the important stuff. First, the sales for some of their major releases so far:
And now for their general insights on their experiences as an indie publisher:
We at Spiderweb Software have just announced our next indie, turn-based RPG, Avernum 4: Greed and Glory! The epic, cult-classic Avernum saga started way back in 1994 and tells the story of a strange, heroic underworld nation. For decades, dedicated fans have helped this land in the darkness fight for survival, freedom, and glory.
The epic story continues in this new adventure, featuring a massive world, an intricate system full of builds and options, and a great story. It will be released for Windows and Mac in October, 2025, with an iPad version soon after.
As always, wishlists are greatly appreciated!

It’s a narrative game (400,000 words), focused on social intrigue, secrecy, blackmail, and a creeping insanity - all wrapped into a gothic tragedy. The game’s focus is reflected in the 10 attributes that your character has in the game: three physical, three intellectual, three social, one mystical.
Reviews have been very strong overall, especially with regards to the narrative and writing. It’s amazing that so many people really get what we were trying to achieve here.
One reviewer refers to the game as a “Gothic Masterpiece”:
There’s 180+ NPCs, each with …
HYPERxFANTASY is an experimental narrative RPG where you explore a brutalist dystopia, slay lost souls and guide mankind into digital afterlife!
You’ll explore an endless megastructure called the Ascension Arcades on a steel disc‑shaped glider, soaring over obstacles and diving from towering heights. As the unstoppable apocalypse nears, people lose their minds and pin their hopes on a digital heaven. Blinded by desperation, they embrace the brutal, self‑destructive rituals required to reach it.
You are the Executor, an admired symbol of hope. Your responsibility is to grant last wishes and guide souls into the promised afterlife. You may have doubts, but it does not matter: fanatical authorities of the Singularity rule with absolute power and can kill you or your companions with a snap of their fingers. Obedience seems to be …
Each cycle begins the same - with desolation. Castles rise from the rubble of the old, forests grow where deserts once were, citadels are built upon the bones of the fallen. With every turn of the loop, it becomes harder to remember where it all began - or who was fighting this war: you, or the one who came before you.

I’ve been working on a game called Kingdom Loop for two years now. It started as a single idea in my head and has slowly grown into a world with its own systems and internal logic. Today, I want to share where the game stands.
At its core, Kingdom Loop is about walking a closed path. The hero fights enemies and places buildings along the way. Each building empowers the hero - but also strengthens the enemies. That constant tension between gain and risk is at the heart of the experience.
Buildings spawn units: villages produce militia, lumber mills …

This game shut down and was removed from Steam. I wonder if there is any other place to get a Steam key for nor a terrible expense?
If anyone has a source that would be appreciated. To me it’s an obvious yes(because of microtransactions)but some people think that since games are much more expensive to make they make less money per copy. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Dude has gained like 1.5k mmr since starting stream playing stuff like Muerta and Centaur mid haha. Hes won basically every game besides the ones on Kez. Someone asked him why he didnt play meta and he said because it’s boring. Then he said you want meta? Proceeded to play urn QoP and stomp the enemy team in 15 minutes. Just nice to see that he’s still a beast. Oh his mid hoodwink has been really fun to watch too.
Here’s the thing I want.
Terrorblade Persona crossover with Blizzard (Illidan Stormrage from Warcraft 3).
Invoker Arcana
Lina Arcana remodel & added 2nd style
After nearly 8000 hours of dedication, discipline, and pure, undiluted incompetence, my friend has done what most thought was impossible:
He has achieved 1 MMR.
That’s not a typo. Not a smurf. Not a fresh account. Just peak performance in reverse.
While others climb ladders, he built an elevator. And took it straight down.
Every hero, every patch, every update — he adapted. To lose. Consistently. Heroically.
Some say MMR is just a number.
But 1? That’s not a number. That’s an identity.
A lifestyle.
He is not just bad at Dota.
He is the final boss of bad.
1 MMR is not the floor.
It’s the basement of the skill gap.
And he owns it.
So here’s to the undisputed champion of reverse MMR.
You didn’t just lose games.
You lost with purpose.
GOAT.
#1 (from the wrong end).

The only Tier 1 tournaments Topson has won are the two Internationals — TI8 and TI9.
While I was working on an Infernus Fury Trance build, I was shooting the bot for DPS testing. I tried using Spirit Burn and noticed my damage dropped significantly. I’ve tested this a dozen or so times with the same result - I do more damage without Spirit Burn. Anybody got a clue why?
