The UK safety act thaf requires ID verification to access mature content on Steam requires you to have a credit card. Debit cards used to work, but they no longer do.
What this means is i now have games in my Steam library that i can play completely fine, but because i don’t have a credit card (because up until now, i have had zero reason to get one), i can’t view those games’ store pages.
This is complete BS. To get the debit card, i had to give a date of birth, which means that should be enough to prove I’m over 18. But now I’d have to get a credit card just to view mature content on Steam. Even tho I’m 23.
Edit: Just tried to apply for a credit card. Got rejected. No clue why. Didn’t tell me either. I’ve never taken out any loans, I earn over the yearly required amount, don’t have anyone financially dependant on me, consistently pay my part for my house’s bills (still live with parents while in uni). Being in uni is the …
I’m loving this year’s TI, they did such a fantastic job.
The stars are finally aligning!

EDIT 1 2:45PM: added partial segments of the message to the monoliths section
EDIT 2 9:00PM: added short lore explanation to the monoliths section, more rune sightings to rune section
EDIT 3 11:00PM: SOLVED BY u/ispankmuch! The monoliths contain pieces of a lore entry about the Mad Moon and the smith Abzidian (new hero?) who used its pieces to craft Demon Edge: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1nfe5kk/obelisk_code_cracked/
Valve appears to be running some sort of ARG at The International 14 in Barclays Arena featuring a rune language on monoliths that decode into some sort of message, and a cycle that appears to end after TI14 with some notable event - as initially discussed in this thread.
I am making this new thread as a repository of what has been figured out so far by myself and others I’ve found so that people can jump in without …
He has been standing and talking to fans for a couple of hours now. The man really is a treasure.
He has taken the time to really engage with each and every one. From taking photos, signing stuff, but also really discussing things in depth. From meta, to how to go pro, how to get into Dota talent, to shows, food, travelling. Literally anything and everything under the sun.
Thank you for making my first TI so memorable.
ignore the fact that im ass
Edit: Why does everybody ask me how did i do this and they want this too, twin i cant see fucking shit
I never thought this would be my favorite character out of the many great ones this game has. Valve could’ve made him just cruelly mock everyone and it would make sense with how powerful he seemingly is. However they went above that with his lines towards others, showing that he’s fully embraced the role he chose for himself. Offering other characters the services of The Baroness for seemingly no gain, being intrigued by humanity, finding his service job genuinely rewarding despite being some kind of malevolent god. It’s all so good and makes him a great character in my opinion.
My favorite dialogues he has are these three. It’s amusing how a being beyond our comprehension can also show how human is in these situations.
These lines were recorded from this video by Enkindle on YouTube. They have several other videos of character interactions and voice lines if you’re interested.
Slack’s dressing as Drifter wasn’t on my TI bingo card.
Watching new people play this game was a horrendous experience for me (cough2 summit). Only because they have no way of learning anything crucical in the game because Deadlock doesnt outright tell you unless you look it up at an external source. Comment down below what you think are important crucial mechanic that are not explained in the game so we can start a good F.A.Q. for beginners. Ill’ start.
