I’ve noticed a lot more quantity over quality in popular video games. Take for example one of the most recognizable franchises; Assassin’s Creed. The last few installments have consistently increased in length, but I would argue that this expansion did not provide additional memorable moments compared to their predecessors. It might be interesting to get people’s opinions on this:

Quite a relevant take now more than ever, thought I’d share.
Unlike many on the DaysGone sub, I’m not gonna bullshit you - this isn’t a perfect game, it’s not a masterpiece, it’s not “one of the best games ever made”.
But it’s a damned good game, a very fun game with an interesting albeit largely derivative story and characters that seem very one-note at first but begin to blossom some hours into the experience.
PC Gamer’s review of the PC version leaked, and they rated it at 63⁄100, saying it’s technically sound on PC with stable frame rate and pretty visuals but they were disappointed with an overly bleak story and lack of gameplay variety. They conclude by encouraging you to skip this and play Mad Max instead. As someone who really enjoyed Mad Max and felt that it was underappreciated, I couldn’t disagree with this statement more.
Please don’t let the low review score dissuade you. Days Gone is worth playing. The opening act may not hook you but once you’ve …
