My poor old 6600xt. 50 fps in helldivers. 40 fps in MHWilds, 120 fps in Arc raiders with little to no dropage? This game looks stunning and my broke ass gpu can actually run this? Is this what optimization really is like? Gameplay so great, night time raids strategic and fun as hell? Must i be dreaming?
We had the stupid countdown back earlier this year, lots of people said “how could you guys be idiots, why did you expect anything?”. And the whole SGF situation, constantly blaming players for expecting something.
Now with the server slam, which has been the ONLY open-access for free, just two weeks away from launch, we’re given such a tiny, restricted version that feels boring to progress in. You can name it a server slam, say “it’s just to test servers, it’s not marketing”, but for all purposes for 80% of players, this is the experience that determines whether they buy the game or not.
Every single pretentious “you’re so entitled for wanting content, just enjoy the 10% available, your experience isn’t what matters it’s just so Embark can test servers” is exactly the type of attitude that put The Finals into a terrible launch position.
This server slam is hugely popular already reaching so many players, and if it leaves a bad impression, guess what they’re gonna do? We’ll have The …
getting a random loadout and what it gives you is fine, but it def would feel way better to have at least 25%-30% more ammo
I love this game. I’ve loved it since the earlier tests. Gameplay is super fun and I just love the loop. Embark is def cooking. One thing that would be nice is to be able to have the ability to mix and match outfits. I’d love to mix a helmet from one outfit or pants from another. Really allow the creativity to flow with the players.
Embark I know you get a lot of hate from people but you guys cooked with this game. It’s good to see a lot of ex Dice employees put passion into this project. And thank you for pricing the game normally and not charging $70-$90 for a deluxe package. Keep up the great work.
Me and my brother were playing just a bit ago, ran into a team that barely spoke English “friendly friendly!!” So of course we teamed up. As a squad of four we moved through the water towers and encountered ANOTHER SQUAD OF 4. I shouted at them that we were friendly and they actually stopped shooting at us XD.
Now, a squad of 8 idiots shouting at each other in Spanish and English moving through dam. Well the 3 man squad we ran into certainly weren’t planning on that sight. Rest in peace to them.
I don’t get the hate. Gameplay, sound, atmosphere, animation, even the freaking optimization despite the fact it is shitty UE5.
I immediately fallen in love. The game is hard, it is supposed to be hard, and if this is just a fraction of final game, then holy shit, me and my friends are about to have a blast.
There are lot of people whol likes this game based only on this server slam test.
Hi ARC Raiders team,
I’d like to suggest improving the current spawn screen (the one where our character stands in front of the mission menu) by turning it into an interactive lobby or hub area.
Right now, players start on a static screen with menus for missions and quests. It would feel much more engaging if we could:
This would make ARC Raiders feel more like a living world and encourage teamwork before heading out. And tbh, more immersive.
Sorry for the laggy video it’s extremely mentally frustrating but I was using DaVinci Resolve to get a frame by frame and viewing the raw footage on the timeline causes this pathetic lag.
