M 33 years old been playing games since i was 5

I have this awesome setup but all i do is scroll my steamlist of games then never clicking the play button

Then i proceed to just browsing reddit or youtube.

I have consoles as well same thing boot up check out psn+ gamelist and then power off

This started probably after my longterm relationship(15years) ended 2 years ago and i have been hitting the clubs and bars eversince

I feel like i have outgrown my passion and its so sad.

Worst part for me my other hobby (wakeboard) local park closed.

Now whenever im bored the only thing I can do is go to a bar or club lol this cant be healthy right ?

I miss being a gamer

Here are my father collection, sadly he passed last year so it’s his definitive collection, he would have loved to continue it, he would buy games every week on Leboncoin and ebay.

And mine my last additions are Blood and magic and Rival Realms two games i spent a lot of time as a kid i’m thinking of getting Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns next. :)

So I’m in this shitty motel room tonight (very long, depressing back story), and of course I have my PS5 connected because wtf else am I going to do but raid, rat, and repeat.

When all of a sudden, approximately 15 mins ago, I hear a pounding at my door, “Police!!!, open up!!!” I walk over and look through the peep hole, but I can’t see shit (see earlier about shitty motel). So I latch the deadbolt, and ask for a warrant. Cop says they’re doing a welfare check because someone reported someone getting shot in my room.

About 10 mins before this I was on blue gate on the run of my life. Looted 2 wolf packs, an Osprey, and teamed up with stone folks to take down a leaper and it was awesome.

Got ganked by a rocketeer on the way back to extract because I was trying to rush. And i yelled out, “ heeelp, I’m done, rez me please, i got shot, please get me up!!!” There was a guy at the extract that i saw and attempted to but the rocketeer was was close and dangerous so he left.

Losing all your BPs when it takes so long to find them and even then, you could end up with craftable glow sticks over anything major is making not want to go all in with the Expedition

I don’t see how any XP boost could be more benefit than being able to craft the best gear on the game for Trials and just general play

The reset does keep the game fresh for those who want it, I get that and normally I’d be all for it but struggling through weekly trials because I don’t have something means I don’t see why I’d want to go through that again when it’s all made easier by having a few BPs

Just wanted to post a big shoutout to the random group of guys in solos about an hour ago. They pulled aggro when I was pinned in a bad spot on Blue Gate near check point on the south side. They came in from above the checkpoint pulled aggro. Then I was able to sneak around and snap hook onto it with a deadline. Got my first Bastion kill tonight thanks to them! Everyone was chill and we were all able to get some loot and even helped me get all the cores I needed and we all extracted. Just want to wish all the Raiders here a Happy Thanksgiving if you’re in here.

Every time I take a legendary gun out for pve have been 100% of the time killed by players as well with the hullcraker. I have over 100 hours in the game and fully expect a legendary to be completely useless because I won’t even be able to use it more than a second before someone kills me. People are turning queen and matriarch events into kill farms rather than taking down the arc. I know this is a pvp game and there are unavoidable things like this but it’s kinda frustrating loosing all that time and grinding in minutes because everyone else decided to shoot ask questions later.

The point being the grind feels terrible because the moment you reach max stats free load outs are joining matches with the sole intention of killing you. There isn’t really a way to counter that with one pve gun and one pvp gun in whatever matchmaking option you choose.

Currently theres no explanation for how our roosters get the things they get. I wanna be topside and suddenly see a rooster with a small raider backpack frantically running around and sometimes stoping to peck the ground. Maybe you could shake it upside down like a cartoon bully for the items. Im not sure what type of items scappy would have apart from the usual scraps. Who’s with me on this?

I don’t think I’ve ever extracted with this many solos. This was after teaming up to kill a Rocketeer and Leaper. Fun stuff 😁

started playing two days ago and so far having a blast, first of all.

I have by no means a high end pc, more middle of the pack, yet upon first booting up every setting was on the highest possible and the Game still managed to squeeze out roughly 90 FPS on 1440p without DLSS enabled. On Quality that jumps to 120ish.

And just now i noticed that on top of that, i had raytracing on epic too, the entire time. Considering how good the game is looking and being made with UE5, 120fps in 2K on quality DLSS with all settings maxed out, Raytracing included, is akin to Witchcraft nowadays.

I just felt this needed to be said. In an Age where every second Game hitting the market is unoptimized slop with the tagline “just buy a better pc, lol” kudos to the devs for actually properly developing their game, and doing a damn good Job at that.

My Arc Raider’s report for the night:

First night playing it because my friend was very sweet and got the game for me, ran solo, first game got jumpscared by a guy within 2 minutes, who shot me with a rifle and almost killed me when he opened a door. Used comms said it was my first game, he gave me a nicer gun, apologized a bunch and told me to have fun.

Then ran into a lady in the swamp who I helped kill a tanky ball robot, she showed me a big power cell thing, told me to deliver it to a radio tower to get nice loot, it was true. Ran into another raider at extract, said I was friendly and asked if they needed ammo, they were so surprised bc a lot of people have been KOS lately, both extracted safe.

Next game, ran into a big compound, kept running into the same 2 people, we all coexisted and were chill, I round a corner to the outside, new person shoots me with a heavy rifle and the other two SWARMED out to kill him.
