One of my favorite parts of this sub used to be the GOTY threads because there’d always be a handful of games that I never heard of that would be passionately championed by just a couple of people, and those games would often go on to be some of my favorites of the year. Everyone knows about Expedition 33 and Donkey Kong Bananza and Silksong, but what are the titles that you place up there with those titans that everyone else seems to ignore?

I know the Emperor is super massive, so it would probably need a much bigger map to really work properly.
But I’ve seen some rumors that the maps we have now were originally part of one giant map, split up later during development.
If that’s true, it might actually be possible to make something like the Emperor work even if it’s just as a rare event or something
