Huge post from Warhorse co-founder and KCD2 director Daniel Vara, following all the criticism of Swen Vincke for confirming that Larian Studios lets employees use AI.
“This AI hysteria is the same as when people were smashing steam engines in the 19th century. [Vincke] said they [Larian] were doing something that absolutely everyone else is doing and got an insanely crazy shitstorm.”
Go through any maps, daytime is best, and wait until you hear a guitar somewhere, then go there and shoot the guy.
I had randoms come and help me when we did this, honestly it was so wholesome, this achievement will probably stick with me for the rest of my life.
Although I’m using Peanut as an example, this post is actually a praise post to Embark for designing a world where ignoring core aspects of their game is not the way to “win”.
Peanut is currently attempting to get his stash value to 5,000,000 for the expedition. Miracle’s aside, I doubt he makes it.
Peanut completely ignores the PvE aspect of the game in favor of blasting some fellas. Which is all fine and good… unless you are working on a long term goal.
You see, although it’s totally true that he and his trio buddies (sorry Shroud, Cloakzy, Gingy, Summit etc..) are playing this game on ultra hard mode dealing with constant stream snipers and, very frequently, cheaters, the fact that Peanut literally only gets his loot from bodies has made it near impossible for him to accumulate enough wealth to get the extraction bonus unless he wins 5 or 6 fights per round and gets out alive almost every time.
Which is impossible:
I tried giving my friend some value for his expedition, because I had more than I needed for my own.
We spawn in right under the Control Tower, the best spawn possible on Dam. The best spawn for anything, except what we were planning on doing in my opinion.
A team rushes us and kills us faster than we could load in and come up with a plan for how we would make it to a hatch and I would give him all my items.
To whoever killed us, I hope you made it out with my 16 Bobcats IV with full blue attachments and that you use them or that they help you reach your expedition goal of 5 mil.
Saw the dude early in the game and he was friendly before this, still figured he might shoot but it didn’t pay off
