🎥 Splattercat Playing Katanaut
🎮 Steam
Hey r/Games, I’m the solo dev behind Katanaut.
It’s a cosmic horror action roguelite set on a massive space station that’s spiraling into chaos, with fast paced combat and lots of build variety across melee weapons, guns, off-hands, skills, implants, and perks. The easiest pitch is Dead Cells style runs, Katana Zero pace, and a Dead Space air quality.
Katanaut v1.1 goes live tomorrow (Jan 5) and I’m genuinely excited to see how people do with the new global leaderboards I’m adding. There are 6 leaderboards, and each one has a visible trophy holder. If you’re in first, the game shows it to everyone.
The update also adds new biomes, enemies, weapons, and unlockables. The leaderboards track stuff like speedrun times, enemies killed, and currency collected, so there are ways to compete besides just “fastest time”.
Thanks for reading! I’m around for questions, and if you’re curious, check out Splatty’s play-through linked above! …
Happy Indie Sunday all! I’m here to talk about Aletheia: Prophecy of Perseus!
Prophecy of Perseus is a CRPG game similar to Baldur’s Gate 1, and Fallout 1+2. The game will release in early 2026. I have just finished making the trailer and updated my Steam page, please give it a watch!
Stackatalbi is a survival game where you stack cards to collect resources and craft new items. Drag your hero over an open world, hunt, fish, farm and grow stronger to fight new foes. Play solo or online co-op with a friend.
My main 2 inspirations for this project were Stacklands and Valheim. I liked the card stack mechanics in Stacklands, but after having more people (villagers) it was starting to become a bit to tedious for my taste. So I wanted to try this concept with only 1 “villager” in some kind of open world map + put optional co-op on top to learn a bit about multiplayer development.
There is a playable web prototype on Itch. The main movement option was to drag & drop the player card, but after playtester feedback I added a second option: “right click to move” like in a RTS game. It’s toggleable in the game settings.
If you try the prototype please tell me what you think!
Steam page with trailer (work in progress).
Cheers,
Matt

Effulgence RPG is a party-based RPG set in a unique character-based world where enemies are more than just obstacles - they ARE the resource. Destroy them to forge better gear!
I’ve just released big update 9600 (Milestone #1). A huge thank you to everyone who supported the project at this stage. If you’re planning to support Effulgence RPG - I’d really appreciate it.
The game Steam Page: Effulgence RPG
(It is -20% now)
The next big update will be content-focused, with a lot more new combat locations. I’ve updated the roadmap: you can see it in the game’s main menu.
May ASCII be with you.

Hey everyone.
A little while ago, my friends and I released our first game, Livber: Smoke and Mirrors. I went into this project knowing it probably wouldn’t be a big hit, and that expectation turned out to be realistic. Still, for a first release, the experience has been way more rewarding than I imagined \^\^
We’ve met genuinely kind players, had real conversations, and slowly seen a small community form around the game. That matters to us a lot more than chasing quick success.
That’s also why we’re still supporting it with an artbook and a soundtrack DLC. Not because it’s the most profitable move, but because we didn’t make this game just to drop it the moment it didn’t blow up. Seeing large companies push out “indie” games and abandon them as soon as they don’t perform hurts the indie spirit, and we wanted to do the opposite.
We’re even working right now with a team made entirely of volunteers on localization and voice acting. It’s honestly not the most financially sensible …
A free, offline application called “Interpreter” on Github allows you to translate on-screen Japanese text to English in real time, which facilitate playing of Japanese-only games on PC. (Such as the mobile G-mode games like Persona: Anomalous Tower Chronicle on Steam). I think it should also work on console games by emulators.
In a nutshell it overlays English text over onto the Japanese text (though I think you can set it to appear as subtitles below too)
The link is as below
https://github.com/bquenin/interpreter
To install, go to the link and copy the command line under “installation”. Then open up powershell, paste the line and enter. Then close powershell
Open powershell again (or commnd prompt) and type in interpreter-v2 to launch the app. Launch your Japanese game, alt-tab to Interpreter and click “Refresh List”. Choose the game in the dropdown bar and click “Start Capture”
You can fiddle around with the rest of the settings to customize the texts such as font size or …
Hey Everyone- I’m a solo developer working on Woe Reigns Unending, a dark fantasy turn-based RPG I’ve been building largely on my own. This is a PC RPG with a heavy focus on atmosphere, tactical combat, and narrative tone. I’ve recently pushed a lot of updates and polish to the Steam demo based on prior feedback, including combat clarity, pacing, and general feel, and I’m posting here because I’m specifically looking for more honest PC-focused feedback before moving forward. If slower, darker RPGs are your thing and you don’t mind something clearly made by one person with limited resources, I’d genuinely appreciate any thoughts, critiques, or suggestions.
Hi, I’m Julie from Tuesday Quest, an indie video game studio!
After almost 2 years of development, and a lot of sweat, A Planet of Mine MasterMine Edition is out on Steam, and on Winter Sale:

Choose your gang of cute animals and conquer space! Collect resources by master-mining a planet, exploit your solar system and meet other factions. Trade, peace or clash: your planets, your choice!
Our game stands out from other 4X (Xplore, Xpand, Xploit, Xterminate), as it is cute and designed to be played with a gamepad. It’s a mix of several genres (builder, simulation, strategy, sandbox) and it even has a peaceful mode. Our game is alien in every way!
It is available on PC/Mac/Linux, and works great on Steam Deck.

I spawn Stella medical, and it’s a night raid, so I’m expecting a little trouble. But I have an il toro so fuck it, start looting up.
Now, I was kind to every raider I met this week (in solos). A ton of blueprints given away, a ton of defibs etc. And yeah, the first few raiders I run into are cool.
Then sure enough, shot in the back while looting. Roll behind cover and pop a bandage, but he’s coming my way fast and I’m already mentally going through my checklist of what to craft for the next run.
Then boom. Someone opens up on him from the other side of the hallway. And my hero, I shit you not, calls out loud as hell “hostile, second floor of medical, he’s wearing yellow”.
Just a cool bit of a role play I guess, but no, suddenly two guys run up the stairs, then a third comes in from lobby. They all open up on the guy in yellow and knock him.
Amazing stuff, able to bug out with my loot. But it really got me, such a weird situation; players putting themselves in danger and risking …
Extended Medium Mag III Blueprint has been earned
Dropped into a raid on Stella Montis today and ran into a player doing something I didn’t expect. No ambush, no mind games….the guy was just giving his inventory away.
He was just going around dropping blueprints and gear like a fully modded bobcat, equalizers, hullcrackers and Anvil IVs. He even dropped guitars and some shakers for us. He’s been doing this the past few days.
At first I thought it was just someone wiping their stash before uninstalling. But after chatting for a bit, he told us (in a really hoarse and rough voice) that he’s been diagnosed with terminal lung disease and was given about three months to live. ARC Raiders was one of the last games he’s been spending time in, and he didn’t want any of his gear to go to waste. All of us could hear the sound of the hospital monitor in the background when he spoke. He said he’s probably got a week or two left at this point since the prognosis.
Everyone in my lobby (around 10 of us) just talked to him …
This can be for solos, and if it’s different for squads let me know
Here are 3 clips of my last 3 days. (third clip has no sound)
- Friendly Solo Lobby => Wall Glitcher
- PvP Duo Lobby => Wall Glitcher
- PvP Solo Lobby => Wall Glitcher
After I died twice on the stairs, I never visited the lobby staircase again, but then I got shot somewhere else through the ceiling.
Embark seriously needs to start suspending those people. This is a hard exploit that is totally unfair and ruins the experience for everyone else. For people who don’t know what’s going on: Somehow, these exploiters glitch behind walls/ceilings and can see and shoot you through them, while you can neither see nor shoot them. If someone’s in the wall, you will die.
A temporary suspension from Topside would be a great way to tackle this problem. Please, Embark, don’t let these unfair exploiters get away with this.
Yes, I reported all of those via the in-game report system and sent video proof via Embark’s report system on their official site, but I …
