Hey r/pcgaming,
We just released the first gameplay trailer for Devil of the Plague, a 1–4 player co-op horror built around rituals and escalation.
The core idea: every ritual you complete makes the area more dangerous, enemies grow more aggressive, environments become hostile, and the boss adapts to how you play.
You play as plague-doctor alchemists fighting demonic plagues inspired by ancient Sumerian mythology.
The main antagonist, ASAG, spreads his curse across different regions, each with unique mechanics.
Instead of relying on constant jumpscares, the tension comes from co-op decisions, limited information, and mistakes that can spiral a run into chaos.
We’re a small team of five developers and would love to hear what PC players think about this kind of co-op horror design.

#This is mainly a message to the embark team I hope this reaches them. Upvote it if you agree.
They recently said that they use an Aggro Rating system, to match pacifists with pacifists and pvpers with pvpers.
But I noticed after playing with my aggressive trio friends (I’m new so account is fresh) That my solo matches are way more aggressive now.
And maybe they already do it this way and I’m having some strong recency bias idk lol
Cheers!
Cold Snap satisfies me a lot, but I was thinking we could push the idea even further. Technically, the ARCs dominate both Earth and space, so what would you think about introducing more violent climate events in the same spirit as Cold Snap, such as:
I feel like additions like these would really bring the maps we already have to life while adding a breath of fresh air. Would you enjoy this kind of feature?
In that video, which I’m sure most if not all of you know about, apart from other important things discussed, the topic of an in-game trading system was brought up.
The CEO said they’ve seen discussions of people requesting this and they are exploring the idea.
Well I want to say that I think this would be a terrible implementation and hope it never sees the light of day.
The entire point of this game is to find loot and extract safely with it. If you add a system where people can stockpile coins and then purchase everything without any risk, what is the point?
Where will be that moment where you find something you’re looking for and rush to an extract on the edge of your seat?
Literally, the only people who would benefit from this are those who choose to PvP only.
So please, do not ever add an in-game marketplace, even if it it restricted to basic materials.
Surely this won’t cause any conflicts or issues this week
