Hi everyone,
As one of my personal projects toward end of the last year, I started tracking and analyzing gaming patents (or at least, what I’m able to identify as a gaming patent), and I just wrapped up my Q4 2025 gaming patent analysis.
Little bit of a back story, as this is where my previous experience comes in.
Years ago I was doing contract work for a company in a financial sector, they wanted to understand what will the future of finance look like, so they can adapt their strategy, focus R&D efforts and not get behind. Back then we were manually looking into competitor activity, startups, research, and patents - and out of all, patents were painful af. I tried to find a way to automate at least the research part, but I don’t have a technical background so my efforts ended as a spectacular fiasco.
So, seeing all the possibilities these days with AI-assisted coding, I thought to revisit the idea and see what’s possible.
Just to give you an idea of scale - …
This is a PvPvE where you build giant sand crawlers fight fellow players, loot towns or wrecks then get leave before getting killed.
This is mainly just me yapping but everytime I feel I’m missing that sense that was overall present in the internet I would say from the early years of the internet until maybe about 2015ish ? MMOs were so fun its indescribable, im generally good with realising when something is just nostalgia, but im pretty confident in saying that now the community sense from multiplayer games is dead, id say its part of the overall feeling on the internet, facebook for example was peak around 2010, now its rotten in addition to all social media in general, i miss joining guilds in MMOs and seeing the same faces and they were interested in how and what we’re doing, joking around, there are a ton of great games right now, but none of them feel like belonging, I’m thinking games like Sherwood MMO, Dofus, WOW.
I would love to hear what’s your experience of playing massively multiplayer games now compared to back then
So, I know that Reddit is very anti “hero shooter”, and that seems to have bled over into the reception of Highguard. I get that a lot of people are completely uninterested, but I’m actually very interested. I like hero shooters and I like the potential here. I’m kind of hoping it’s more than 3v3 - like, I am hoping it’s bunches of teams of wardens facing off, like a BR raid shooter or something. We will see.
Anywho, I’ve been constantly searching for Highguard material since the reveal, and there has been absolutely nothing. Literally nothing. No content at all. Then, like 4 days ago or something, it was like the floodgates opened and tons of videos and articles started coming out about how Highguard was dead in arrival, maybe cancelled, yada, yada, yada. It was like someone had put out a hit on Highguard with a huge reward and everyone suddenly came out with something trashing it.
Anyhow, I’m not trying to argue about whether or not the game should be criticized. I am just …
I won’t stop being nice, I won’t be like you ever. I will continue spread support and friendship in this game.
When multiple instruments of the same type are played together, they will play different but synchronized melodies/rhythms.
Been after her for the longest, my love, my precious x. Blue gate, cold snap, breathable door by the 2 zip line entrance.
