Hey r/games! After over 5 years of development, we finally released our game Escape from Ever After, an adventure RPG inspired by the classic Paper Mario games where fairytale and storybook characters must fight back against capitalism!
When a greedy megacorp from the real world starts taking over fairytales for their cheap labor, a newly-hired storybook hero must climb the corporate ladder, rally together other disgruntled employees, and fight back!
Along the way, you’ll explore a variety of storybook worlds, meet a cast of charming characters from all kinds of stories, and take part in snappy turn-based battles (with unfolding layers of strategy and depth)!
Escape from Ever After was made by a tiny 2-person indie team over the course of five years.
The game is out now on PC and consoles, and we were so excited to be featured on the top of Steam’s “New & Trending” section for the past couple of …
Card Coder is a new roguelike deckbuilder where you make the cards yourself. It’s partly inspired by Magic / Commander, HS, Slay the Spire and tactical board games like Gloomhaven (because positioning is important in the game). I just updated the demo in preparation for the upcoming Next Fest.

Trailer: On Steam or Youtube
Release plan: March 2026, PC Win / Proton Linux, full Steam Deck support planned.
If you do check out the demo, I’d be more than happy to get your feedback here or in the game’s Discord: https://discord.com/invite/2ZrdzkNeBP

Hey everyone! Axolotl here,
We’ve just opened up the public playtest for DiceVaders, our spinoff game of StarVaders!
In this game the roles have been reversed, you play as the alien invaders, commanders of the bosses from StarVaders, and try to invade the Earth and defeat the mech pilots that are defending it!
It’s a strategy drafting roguelike in the style of Luck be a Landlord and Nubby’s, where you are trying to create synergies and draft combos to gain increasing amounts of score!
** This is a beta, which means there will be bugs and there are still missing content, art, balance, polish, etc! Although there’s many things missing that we are aware of, we still appreciate any feedback you have, even though it may be obvious.
** We only …
Project: Doors is a cooperative horror game with a story, not just a collection of scary moments. The plot revolves around mysterious doors that suddenly appear in the familiar world we know, and a group of researchers trapped inside an anomalous labyrinth. Each door leads to a new world with its own rules. As players progress, they discover traces of previous “guests,” collect fragments of the story, and try to understand what this place is and how to escape.

The story is a key element for us. We focused on creating an unsettling, implicit atmosphere rather than relying on jump scares.
Another core feature is the doors themselves. They can lead anywhere - a distorted familiar place, a strange reality, or a true nightmare. The labyrinth is constantly shifting, and going back does not guarantee safety.
Many key decisions came from playtests. We don’t just fix bugs - we closely observe players. During sessions, players often begin …
The Epsilon Space Station was supposed to be a safe haven. Instead, everything went wrong. An AI took control and turned the crew into cybernetic zombies. Every corridor is now dangerous, and your team must fight its way through the station.
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPm2_81Sdd4
As you progress, you upgrade your gear and move closer to the AI’s control center, hoping there’s still a chance to change the outcome. Weapons are fully modular - barrels, magazines, scopes, and other parts can be combined to match your playstyle. Tactical traps and suits with unique abilities add even more ways to experiment and build your own combat approach.
The game is built around three-player co-op and strong team synergy. One player controls crowds, another focuses on area damage, while the third finishes enemies and holds the line when things get messy.
The AI is an important part of the story, but it does not interfere with live gameplay or generate content for players. AI tools …
Hi everyone! My husband and I are working on Signal Zone, a minimalist base-defense strategy focused on survival and resource management under constant pressure. Explore/build during the day, defend at night. It’s meant to be quite challenging, you probably won’t win on your first try, but that’s the point.

The most unfortunate crawl. It was a night raid.
I have this habit of checking which airshafts are active and which one I’m closest to when the round starts. The closest two were Overlook Airshaft and Forest Airshaft, both inactive. So the closest active one was Warehouse Airshaft.
I got knocked down by a leaper in the Ruined Homestead. I was carrying 2 Wolfpacks, a Survivor Kit, and a Level 4 Anvil. It wasn’t much, but it was very early in the round — 25 minutes still on the clock. So I thought… why not crawl and see how far I can make it. I remembered the closest one was Warehouse, so I started my crawl.
When I neared Maintenance Bunker, I heard people fighting ARCs. I called out for help… but no one came. To be fair, I didn’t have a mic — I was only using emotes. So I continued crawling.
17 minutes left.
When I was about 250m from Warehouse Airshaft, the notification popped up: “Warehouse Airshaft closing in 90 seconds.” 🥲
I knew I wouldn’t make it. So I changed direction and …
For the first time ever tonight I ran into the most toxic duo ever that I was filled with. When we loaded in, one of the dudes had no shield, so I was thinking ok either he’s new or idk what he’s thinking. So they played it cool while we ran to domes on battlegrounds, I could tell they were somewhat new familiar with the area cause they just started looting whatever, so I was like ok and went straight for the case spawns. When they saw me looting case spawns I asked over the mic if either wanted the shotgun that was in it, no response. At this point I’m thinking ok I’m just gonna hatch and re Que. as I’m running I get showstopped in the back while the other one threw blaze grenades at me. Luckily I was able to heal a few times and get out of the fire but if the dude had more than the 3 blaze grenades he had, I was 100% dead. 3-4 games after this match, sure enough, another duo trying to team kill. Please embark do something about this.
I literally cannot imagine a reason to withhold this information from the players until the last minute again. We’re within a month of the expedition window opening and if there’s some big grind we’re gonna have to do please just tell us what it is. Especially because last time you asked us to grind this big project out we had Christmas break to do it.
Did we come across the duck santa clause or something? Dupe hacking gone wild? At first we thought it was some joke because the stash was just full of ducks but then we realized they were stacks of 15 ducks each.
No PvP either, they were just downed in Buried City on a metro tunnel extract.
Slowed down (to 10%) video side by side comparison between Bobcat and Osprey with the following attachments and supposed ADS modifiers:
Bug is reported to ARC Discord.
To clarify for those that don’t seem to get it:
The zoom in is part and an imo relevant part of accuracy and ADS and should be synced to the dispersion reduction from ADSing. Then the zoom in is complete, the accuracy should be maxed and vice versa. Yes the reticle centering does increase/decrease in speed with the attachments, but the zoom in reflecting looking through the sights is unchanged. This results in the gun being fully accurate while the camera is still zooming in which makes no sense or it can also make the gun not be fully accurate despite already being fully zoomed in which again makes no sense and is disorienting.
Hooked up the kinetic converter to my Torrente IV with a drum mag and took it for a spin!
Lush Bloom and Raider Cache also seem to be out of rotation. Hidden Bunker still only twice a day and at the same time of day.
