A new report from WIRED dives into how the video game industry’s aggressive pivot toward generative AI is starting to manifest gamers’ worst fears. From studios replacing human voice actors and concept artists with algorithms, to the rise of soulless, procedurally generated dialogue and endless slop content, corporate executives are pushing AI to cut costs, often at the expense of art and quality.

This looks really interesting to me personally…
Two former developers of EVE Online have been working with their studio Klang Games for over a decade to make an MMO where it isn’t just the world that’s persistent, your characters are too. Klang Games turned up at GDC this week to debut a new trailer with a song by Björk in the Future Games Show and to give me an overview of the current state of Seed.
It gives comparable HP to a standard bandage and it gives as much stamina an adrenaline shot, both of which are far, far easier to find the materials for. If you want a better healing item that’s easier to make, one point into Tinkerer lets you make Herbals which are likewise much easier to craft and heal for more.
I’m sorry. I’m also a friendly player like yourselves. But I’m going for the Platinum trophy and have been trying to get the damn trophy for downing an enemy raider with ARC summoned by a snitch scanner but to no avail.
So did I bring 6 snitch scanners into a friendly Queen raid? Yes.
Did I wait until just after the Queen was down and everyone was politely looting and off guard as there was no threat left to throw all of them into your midst at the same time? Yes.
Will I admit that watching a dozen Wasps spawning into the middle of you unexpectedly was as hilarious for me as it was confusing and terrifying for you? Absolutely.
Do I now have the trophy and promise to go back to being a helpful friendly raider like yourselves? Yes (probably).
Thanks guys, your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
😁😁😁
According to Embark, these are the top 5 Deadliest ARCs.

Springs already do SUCH heavy lifting compared to its counterpart Duct Tape. Both are uncommons, but Duct Tape is more available (in my experience, due to the fact that it spawns in residential).
Duct Tape is required for:
-Stocks
-Vertical Grips
-Angled Grips
Steel Springs are required for:
-Light Mags
-Medium Mags
-Shotgun Mags
-Mod Components
-Torrente
-Advanced Mechanical Components
- SHRAPNEL GRENADE
In my (admittedly limited, probably 10 hours total) experience interfacing with the trading community, Steel Springs are up there with mechanical components for probably the most in-demand crafting material that there is, and in my personal experience I never ever have enough of them.
With that now being said, who is ever burning the same amount of springs needed to make Mod Components/Adv. Mech parts for a grenade that does less damage than a Snap Blast, with less range? A stack of these things costs 10 springs to make.
And you may look at the radius and say “1.5 …
