Hi! I’m Jasper, a solo game developer and student. Over the past year and a half I’ve been working on a mining roguelite called Voidloop!.

The idea started from really enjoying the caves in Stardew Valley and wondering what it would be like if that mining loop was expanded into its own roguelite with upgrades, skill trees and more cave variety.

so I made a post in January (link below to original post) about how I was suspended mid-game for a month ending on February 23rd, and I detailed how despite the suspension I was not using hacks, cheats or exploits. I have played countless multiplayer and single player games and have never been banned or used cheats. I am a gamer who is quadriplegic so I use a sip and puff mouth controller called a quadstick that allows me to use a computer not just for gaming but everyday needs. After the suspension I made the first reddit post hoping to get some help and clarity about how I could appeal or why I was suspended. I submitted support tickets and went to discord for help but nothing, so I decided to just take the suspension on the chin and wait it out, finish Hollow Knight and play some Marathon. Can anyone explain the reasoning behind this? Do I need to smoke something first to understand why is this a thing?

This is the fault of AnyBrain anticheat as well as its combination with HelpShift’s automated support and moderation across social platforms.

Anybody that looks into the SteamDB for AnyBrain would find out that AnyBrain, being solely run off AI, is experiencing mass consumption for the first time through ARC Raiders, and is only used in 12 games, total. Seven of which are game tests or demos, five are real games, one of which is unreleased. The four remaining all have lots of reports of false bans, The Finals(also developed by Embark) included.

Embark chose to sit on this problem for months as players were being falsely banned and ignored it, now a disabled player’s been caught up in the problem.

So Im heading to the locked room at the Water Treatment Plant on Dam. Before I turn the corner to the room, I heard a baby repeatedly crying on somebody’s mic and I could tell the guy was near me judging by how loud it was. As I turn the corner he’s standing there in front of the locked room and it’s clearly him with the crying baby on the mic.

I know it can take a while to safely get to an extract after you loot a room, which would delay being able to attend to a baby. So I did him a favor by shooting and downing him. For some reason he was really upset even though I was doing him a favor which confused me. So to calm him down I said, “It’s ok dude, I’m sending you back to the lobby to take care of your baby.” 😊 knocks him out

I feel good about what I did. That baby needed care and the guy was no where near an extract! Did I do anything wrong?
