This is kinda a long rant, but I have completely run out of patience. I posted this in r/gamedev earlier but I wanted to also get some opinion from players too. I know Steam has great customer support for players, but the sheer incompetence and lack of basic support from Steam for us as an indie developer is insane, even after taking 6 figures in fees from our game revenue.

Our game is Milky Way Idle, which is an online multiplayer game made by my wife and I. Starting June 2025, my game was hit by a massive, coordinated review bomb and harassment campaign from hundreds of chinese players (https://imgur.com/a/B4UxYzy). The worst of it lasted for 2-3 months, but we are still dealing with the lingering effects because new players see the reviews and actually believe the defamatory lies this mob left behind. It’s been 9 months and we are still unable to get adequate assistance.

I haven’t seen this brought up, but I need to get this off my chest. The apartment layouts on the Dam Battlegrounds are downright dysfunctional.

1. No toilets or piping for bathrooms.

2. Bedrooms in initial rooms with kitchen and living rooms later in the flow.

3. Wardrobes shoved into bathrooms.

I haven’t analyzed the houses as well on buried city, but I have searched all maps for toilets and have yet to find a single one. Where is everyone going to the bathroom? Is that why we all wear colostomy bags and I needed to pay closer attention to the lore?

this guy was hunting me all round and i think he killed the majority of the lobby and was waiting for someone to exfil(leapers always been my favorite arc)

context: just needed to disarm one more mine for the 4k in trials. before the video I got attacked by a wasp and Hornet first. then the video begins.

just wanted to rant. stopped playing straight away.

Most of the quests in this game a pathetically boring. Its just stupid stuff like go press f on a roof to fix it. Or one im on now is me collecting movies for some dipshit trader so he can watch a flick.
The game is in the apocalypse and the most interesting quests that they can come up with is just inane bullshit that just makes the whole quest system incredibly boring.

The quests that I have done so far also have very limited mechanics the only ones I have seen are.
- Shoot arc or kill arc with stupid weapons.

- collect dumb knickknack (soccer ball)

- press f on a thing sometimes many different things in a raid (epic so cool!)

I thinks that’s literally all of the quest mechanics this game has. They are so boring.
