Manor Lords is not really related to this.. because it isn’t abandoned. But I bought it 2 years ago and was curious if it was still getting updated. Maybe I missed something but I could only find it under “events and announcements” mixed with in with random blog posts. It makes it difficult for normal people to figure out if their potential purchase will ever be officially released.
Not surprising considering how the court case went but finally here is confirmation from the people who run the server.
I often hear that point-and-click adventures are dead, or that nobody makes good new games in the genre anymore. This usually comes from people who actually like the genre, but since mainstream media largely neglects to report on it, they simply don’t know better.
As a big fan of the genre, I thought I could help a bit by putting together a list of great modern point-and-click adventures for everyone to discover. It shows that the genre has had a real renaissance over the last few years. And we’re not just talking about imitations or nostalgia bait, but games that have genuinely pushed the gameplay forward with meaningful innovations, quality-of-life improvements, and compelling narratives and themes.
So if you’ve written the genre off as dead and buried because of old frustrations like moon logic, dead ends, punishing death sequences, or clunky controls, you might be surprised by how well these games hold up today.

Hey everyone! I am the solo developer behind this game. I started working on the project around 18 months ago and finally reached a point where I was able to share the game with others through this playtest. It’s been so fulfilling to see people have fun with the game and get validation that I am working on something that people actually want to play (after working on something by yourself for so long, it gets hard to tell if it’s actually fun or not).
If you want to give the game a try, the playtest signup is still open on the Steam page and I am accepting all requests as soon as I see them. Would love to hear what you think about the game!

I’m also happy to answer any questions if you have some.
This has to be a joke
I just wanted the gun case at the top bro 💀
Thank you Arc 🙏
After the Embarks recent news, I wasnt so happy, since it took some to farm the 3mil. coins. But after few angry tweets on Arcs recent post, I said to my self.
Why not?
Since today I am buying every hullcracker, every piece of heal and equipment that might be useful in the coming expedition window.
I am prepared to go all in. Break some hearts, make new friends and create unforgettable stories.
WHO IS WITH ME?
I will not apologize for my actions and subsequent silence.
I defibbed 3 raiders and the little rats scurried to every leg I dropped before I could get close.
Sorry Kaizen. I needed a Jupiter.
I’ve got over 500 hours in this game and absolutely love it but it feels like Embark is trying to speed-run how quickly they can achieve a “Helldivers II” type fumble and make everyone abandon and resent them with these poor changes nobody asked for, especially when there’s so many better options to choose from within the community feedback.
Akin to what many others think, it’d only make sense to get a skill point per feat achieved THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE WIPE CYCLE - like dealing xy amount of damage on the Queen/Matriarch in a single raid, destroying xy amount of medium sized ARC throughout the wipe, completing all the quests throughout the wipe, supplying xy amount of different items to the traders of Speranza (like a project) throughout the wipe and having extracted xy value worth of loot throughout the wipe.
The expedition needs to be a long term goal from the get-go, not a surprise sprint for five days at the end of a wipe.
