I’m the solo-indie developer of AETHUS, a chill sci-fi, physics-driven survival/base-building game, which I created pretty much on my own after leaving AAA after ~7 years, at studios like Rockstar North, Build a Rocket Boy (yeah, that one… I left in 2022, though!) and Splash Damage.
I wanted to make a survival game that wasn’t focused on combat, but on chill take-at-your-own-pace exploration always driven forward by a compelling, fully-voiced narrative.
It’s on 20% discount for the next two weeks so it’s the perfect time to dive in after all the post-launch patches and improvements I’ve pushed in the last few weeks!

BattleGroupVR2 - Multiplayer Update + Early Access Progress 🚀
After ~3 months of work, full multiplayer is now live. This was a much bigger lift than expected, but it’s finally ready - and it’s completely integrated across the game.
Thanks to everyone who’s been playing, testing, and giving feedback. It’s had a direct impact on getting this update out.
BattleGroupVR2 is a VR real-time space strategy game where you command an entire fleet from the bridge of your flagship.
You manage ships, captains, resources, and positioning while fighting full 3D battles - all from inside the command deck.

Starting April 10, 2026, Amazon Luna will no longer offer game stores, individual game purchases or third-party subscriptions.
This page explains what is changing, when it’s happening, and what it means for you.
What’s Changing?
I loved this game as a kid. But replaying it recently I found it so frustrating. The respawning enemies and the janky stealth made it a chore. It still looks great tho, visually it’s held up.
Use this thread to discuss whatever you’ve been playing lately (old or new, AAA or indie). Don’t just list the names of games as your entire post, make sure to elaborate with your thoughts on the games.
Use spoiler tags if you’re posting anything about a game’s plot that might significantly hurt the experience of others that haven’t played the game yet (no matter how old or new the game is).

Yesterday I was killed at the last seconds of a raid by a camper at the extract.
Noticed he had a TTV name.
Found his twitch, has been streaming for 11 hours. Not a single viewer.
Casted it on the TV while cooking.
Witnessed him camp the last extract point for two games in a row. Just waiting nearby that someone pushes the button.
No looting, not even the corpses.
Checked some previous streams. Minimal duration 10 hours. Only extract camping.
Opened my PC today, browser still on his page.
Same stream, now 1 day and 10 hours long and still counting.
Briefly opened the stream. Dude was camping an extract.
Absolute dedication
Yes. I get it. There’s PVP. If I get shot, I’m shooting back. PVP is fun. But I play with the intention of helping people first and foremost. I love the PVE. Shit like this though? Fucking annoying and pointless.
Loving the change tho, that hoarding and grinding endgame loop was not healthy at all for the game. But for the love of god you can’t keep changing things after 50 days on 60 days of expedition…
Elevator at Buried City apartments. What’s this all about?
I’m clearing the whole map!
*Gets shot in the back*
I actually like the idea of switching from stash value to a damage-based system, it’s way more engaging and encourages people to actually play instead of hoarding loot.
But why is it limited to a 5-day window?
Expeditions take around 2 months to prepare, and then suddenly everything comes down to whether you can play during those specific 5 days.
Not everyone is available at that time, people have work, trips, real life stuff.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to let damage accumulate over the entire expedition duration, with a higher total damage requirement and the full 2 months to complete it?
That way it still rewards active play, but doesn’t punish players who just happen to be busy during that specific window.
Right now it feels like all the progress over the season doesn’t really matter, only those 5 days do.
