Hi r/Games
We are set to launch Forbidden Solitaire NEXT Thursday April 30th!
It’s a card-slashing horror game about unearthing the contents of a cryptic 1995 CD-ROM that should have never existed. From the creators of Ancient Enemy and Home Safety Hotline.
It’s 2019. You brought home a strange yet familiar 1995 CD-ROM game from the thrift store. You vaguely remember seeing ads for this game, and some kind of controversy, but you never got the chance to play it. Until now.
“Forbidden Solitaire is solitaire if you could cheat by shoving gems into your hand because an eyeball told you to.” PC Gamer
There’s a demo available now on Steam - until launch

I’ve finished the final boss for my ASCII game. Born in the darkest depths of text mode. A mix of organic curves and faceted form.

Effulgence RPG is a party-based RPG where enemies are more than obstacles - they’re raw material. Break them down into particles and forge weapons and gear using a matter printer. The entire world is built from text symbols arranged in 3D space, creating a uniquely striking visual style.
In Seer’s Gambit you recruit a team from a pool of unique heroes like Barber Ian (who whirls around the battlefield Tasmanian Devil style causing mayhem with his scissors) or Blossom (who blows pollen from her flowers to poison the enemies, while healing her team mates with powerful HOTS).
Explore the world of Emalon, upgrade and restore areas to unlock new adventurers and gain powerful buffs. All to save the world from the imminent destruction that you a powerful seer has foreseen.
Since release we’ve updated the game with a number of free patches and this week we released a new big patch to add a number of community requested changes and features. To celebrate the patch the game is 35% off.

There are some surprisingly dumb (in a good way) character synergies in the game. If anyone checks it out, I’d be interested in what combos you end up abusing.

Hi gamers! This is my game “CD-ROM” which I’ve been developing for few months. It is a puzzle game where you control a retro PC with peripherals to find secrets hiding inside decades old CDs! It’s going to be released tomorrow!
Demo version was updated for the latest Steam Next Fest. You should try it!
Game Description :
CD-ROM is a game features series of puzzles located inside 10 different themed CDs. Players progress by deciphering coded texts, analyzing images, finding hints from mini-games and many more! Each clue leads players to 8 digit password they require to unlock next CD. 10 CDs, 10 passwords.
CD-ROM is a game highly related with cryptography and steganography. Many messages are hid inside various data for players to explore. Use programs inside your CDs to overcome these challenges!

First of all, what a fun game. I really enjoy playing narrative games like that, with fun puzzles and no anxiety.
That said, I didn’t expect it to mess with me so much emotionally. Chapter One was so fun and lighthearted, and young Graham was such a wholesome character. But then fast forwarding through his life so fast where yesterday you were playing him as a young man with his whole life ahead of him and today he’s already an old man on death’s doorstep, losing his cognitive abilities and desperately seeking one last adventure, hit hard.
Also watching everyone die off was so sad. The characters were really loveable, and the King’s Guard were so fun and made me laugh, so it was so jarring to then watch them all get slaughtered by Manny. Alexander didn’t get a childhood, despite somehow turning out behaviorally fine and shockingly well-adjusted after being raised as a prisoner. It just got dark so quickly after such a fun beginning.
Chapter 5 was just so sad to play. The town was …
Hey everyone! We are beyond excited to share with you our new trailer for our upcoming Slavic inspired game “Olga - Episode 1” 🍂
Thank you everyone for all of the support so far, it means a lot 🫶🏻
This game had SO much potential.
The story and atmosphere were genuinely solid, but the optimization issues and weird cinematic direction completely killed the emotional impact it was supposed to have.
Instead of feeling immersed, half the time I was just distracted by:
- awkward transitions
- stiff gameplay moments
- performance problems
- cinematics that felt disconnected from the tension of the scenes
The saddest part is that the foundation was actually there.
You can clearly see what the game wanted to be emotionally, but the execution made the whole experience feel weirdly mid.
Still loved the setting and overall story though. It just deserved way better presentation and gameplay polish.

What’s the use of this slot, other than for Deadlines and Ziplines? Does anything else fit?
Feels kinda stupid imo to call it a ‘Utility Slot’ and then not allow you to put everything that you can craft at the Utility Bench in it.
For context, I’ve managed to find the Vaporizer Regulator in Arc Couriers… but the Assessor Matrix’s have been a pain in the ass to obtain and I fear, sadly, that I won’t be able to complete this project like many other folks
