The NBA Street games have finally returned, and the playtest just started!
EDIT: Playtest is over already!
For those who don’t know, the EA Launcher (now just called the EA App) was once called Origin, and it was much maligned for years by the PC gaming community for being one of the first publisher-exclusive game launchers to strike out on their own in the post-Steam era. Nowadays we’re seeing publishers trending towards no longer forcing the usage of their personal launchers, but Origin began an annoying, though somewhat overstated trend of major gaming companies all trying to get a piece of that pie throughout the 2010s and early ‘20s. I’d personally argue that the negativity shown towards Origin set up Epic Games for failure when they launched their own storefront (besides all the, you know, problems that the Epic Launcher earned on its own merit, or lack thereof, but I digress), though I have no actual evidence to prove that, it’s just something I always felt worked against them.
The reason I give that preamble is that some people may not know that the EA …
Hello Reddit!
We’re best friends & Seattle-based indie studio autotroph games, and we’re making Haunted Heist, an asymmetrical PvP horror-comedy party game where you haunt your friends, developed in Godot! We consist of:
Dominic Giardini (Design)
Jakob Herlitz (Dev)
We’ll both be participating in the AMA. Here’s us! https://imgur.com/a/S0XZcFP
Working on Haunted Heist has been an incredible and unexpected ride since our first commits to the project in July of 2025, and we’re very proud to have earned ~50 million impressions across social platforms and a Steam wishlist count of 51,000 while completely self-funded, thanks to the power of scrappy social media efforts.
Having participated in February’s Steam Next Fest, we’re currently reaching the tail end of a full character overhaul with the help of MonitorHead Studios, led by Micah Holland, former animator and character modeler for the indie hit Sable. Our Discord will be hosting an all-day beta playtest on …

Nelly Jellies is a cozy arcade merge game where you launch jellyfish, match colors, trigger powerups, discover rare jellies, and chase a higher score one quick run at a time.
It started as a small game idea from my daughter and turned into a full release across web, iOS, and Android.
The core twist is that it plays like a familiar merge game, but with a floaty underwater feel, bouncy jelly physics, rare spawns, satisfying combos, and powerups that can completely change a run.

They were both had a good early access which I know is not really possible with all games, but it let them hammer out a lot of stuff with two games with somewhat uncommon mechanics like the complex base building and massive amount of items moving across the screen at once in Satisfactory, to the underwater traversal and enemies in Subnautica.
The also look amazing and have good minimal dialogue for a non character in Satisfactory, or mostly non character of Subnautica. Their art styles are just amazingly distinct with Satisfactory having a boldly accented uniform sci-fi factory theme and Subnautica with its vibrant ecosystem and fascinating creatures. Speaking more on the dialogue, I love ADA’s corporate humor that always brings a smile to my face, and the PDA’s at times humorous, at times ominous pieces of information.
They are just both games that are exactly what they are and I cannot think of another game that does it as well, and for as good of a price as these two …
Also what the hell is wrong with servers lately? Every 3rd match is a lagfest with 300+ ping.
I feel like non craftable items are a huge missed opportunity in this game. We can all remember how incredibly exciting this game was the first 100 hours we played. Every time you found a bobcat or a snap hook it felt extremely rewarding. Unfortunately late game that feeling is no longer there for most items. If you love the snap hook you can just grind the materials to make one. Everything has turned into a very mundane grind. The only time that feeling comes back is when I find a Kinetic Converter, Angle Grip, or Silencer 3. I think we need at least a dozen of these types of items. They should be incredibly rare but it would reward us for the hours we put in this game. If I grind locked rooms and high loot value areas I want something awesome to show for it.
This is the second time now you have knocked out the wrong person and in the process let your intended target walk free to rat again. *And* this time you declare over the mic “justice served”. Thank god you absolute Crayola connoisseurs aren’t first responders irl.
Long story short, have a british friend who has a very distinctive voice. One day, as the intercom background chatter was going, I heard said friend’s voice so clearly and distinctly that I thought he had joined my party and was talking. Turns out it’s one of the “ethnic” voices that plays in the background, and there are several lines with this voice.
I clipped the chatter and sent it to him, and he thought I was playing a prank on him.
Turns out he used ElevenLabs (AI voice cloning tool) extensively, and now I’m wondering if Embark simply picked “his” voice from a list of voices on ElevenLabs and is making him babble in Speranza.
Do we know if Embark utilized ElevenLabs at all for the known AI voice lines?
Edit: answered my own question, Embark Studios are now PART OWNERS of ElevenLabs: …
I think this are my most valuable bps to take 😂 if anyone has a survivor bp to trade lmk I have some extra bps! I dont have an extra Tempest or Bobcat in case thats the only one you would consider trading
