Hey, does anyone know if a site/ map list exists which shows all the possible outdoor tables with nice views hopefully where i can work with a laptop in and around amsterdam? Here is an example of what i mean. I’d like to compile a list of spots like this but first i’d like to know if something similar exists already

More than half a year ago I posted here about how hard it can be to find real friendships in Amsterdam (coming from a a Dutch male 32 years old), and I ended up getting nearly 400 responses. So many of you shared that you were feeling the same: whether you’d just moved here or had been living here for years, building a genuine social circle in Amsterdam just felt… surprisingly difficult. That post made me realise how common this feeling actually is, and it led to something much bigger than I expected.

That’s why I started building PlusOnes: a super simple app that helps people meet through small, interest-based activities. Not anything related to dating, but just real connection through shared experiences. Say for example a Sunday run in Vondelpark, a trip to Mezrab, plyaing ping pong at Pong Bar, or a museum visit on a rainy afternoon, it’s all about finding someone to go with, and making those everyday moments more fun together.

I have a 2 room flat in Berlin Mitte (next to Mauerpark) with approx. 58 sq m. Rent would be 1.400€ excluding internet and electricity supply agreement. Both need to be taken care of by the new renter.

I was short on balance and fumbling with my OV card when the tram was already moving. Before I could figure it out, someone just tapped their card for me and gave a quick smile. Didn’t even get a chance to say thank you properly.

During my morning run, I must have entered the wrong neighborhood. It’s that time of the year again, I love these guys. Pure berserker energy.

Yesterday the NS went on strike and flixbus tickets were snapped up early. I was in The Hague, and I had booked a Ryanair from Eindhoven to Morocco for the weekend, but I didn’t want to give up the sunk cost of dozens of euros, so I took the subway + NS international + seven times of buses to the airport. I passed through Rotterdam, Breda, the Belgian enclave in the Dutch territory, and then crossed a Belgian town and finally returned to Eindhoven. I experienced traffic jams, delays, and missed connecting buses. It took a total of seven hours to get to the airport, plus the three and a half hours of the flight itself, which was a similar time for a direct flight to my faraway hometown (China)..

I couldn’t help but thinking that if I were a person living in Eindhoven with a car, my schedule today would be: do whatever I want in the first six hours, then drive half an hour to the airport, and spend the last half an hour leisurely eating a burger combo at McDonald’s lol.
