Holy f**k, I just landed at Schiphol and was craving a burger, and when I arrived at the otherwise fully normal BurgerKing, this is what I find (see pictures). How is this normal???!! There was a mice infestation there!! And everything was just working normally, food being ordered and eaten as if nothing was happening. What the hell…
I am at a loss after the first post-renovation visit of De Hortus. It used to be one my favourite places in Amsterdam and now the glasshouse is completely gutted: The trees are gone, the pond is gone, the vegetation is gone.
Am I overreacting? Perhaps the garden needs a year to recover?
Well folks, I’d never thought I’d write this post but here I am.
Today while biking back home I was hit on my head by a block of wood (approx. 1kg) dropped from a bridge by a piece of shit teenager. The scumbag was waiting for cyclists on the Noorderparkbrug, dropped the thing and then of course ran away. I only got a glimpse of him, but it was definitely a teenager.
I’m lucky it only cut me in the head causing some bleeding, but it could have caused so much more damage if it had made me fall from my bike, since I was going around 20⁄25 km/h.
Well now..I know it’s probably useless, but I want to report it. At least for the statistics. Anybody has experience with this, on how to do it?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Thanks you all for the feedback, I was a bit under shock and didn’t know what to do. I called 112 and they came to my house in 5m, took a statement and will continue investigate. The police said they have been having problems of kids …
Did you get that email? This is really hilarious

Curious to hear the obstractions in your experience. Personally I find overpopulation and lack of wild, pristine nature deeply overwhelming. There is too little space and many things feel human-made, practical and rather artificial to my taste.
