We came to the Amsterdam from Germany and we parked the car in Kloveniersburgwal thinking it was a safe place. Then we left to explore the city. 3 hours later we came back. And the left back glass was broken and our bags, passports were stolen. We immediately called the police but they didn’t do anything. It was 2 am. They told us to come at 8 am. The police told , its a common thing for the German licensed plate cars. Is it really common? It was our first time in Amsterdam and we didnt expected amsterdam like that…
Saw this from our balcony in Zeeburgereiland. Person walking tightrope somewhere in the Eastern Docklands. Quite some distance from our apartment so pushed my zoomlens to the absolute max. Seems they’re walking between the buildings in the last pic. Anyone got some info? Couldn’t find anything online.
33 EUR well spent with occasional confused looks and nods of approval from the people :D
Don’t ask me “why”, I just biked cause the routes never stopped…
EDIT: Thanks overall! I did enjoy my trip, and flattered that many worried for my ass… it healed :D
I bookmarked some new places to others’ suggestion, and seemingly should have gotten the bike stolen and filed a police report to have full 100% Dutch experience - maybe next time (?!) - I still need to try some other food than oatbars and burgers too.
The looks and nods
was a light-hearted joke :P
EDIT2: I’m sorry for the McDonald pic! xDD
Five days a week I commute to work by train. Its a busy route, so I almost always have someone next to me or opposite of me. What I can’t understand, and find really disgusting, is that people seem to have no shame when it comes to the sounds their bodies are making. Why are they dragging snot up into their brains every few seconds instead of just blowing their nose? And coughing with no hand in front of their mouth. Its so disgusting. Don’t their parents teach them not to do this while they are toddlers?
Like there’s no way formations aren’t going to be hell again, but this time they already have someone on retainer who appears qualified to sit on the big chair without being openly partisan.
Just to be clear I don’t think having an non-elected prime minister is a good thing, but I do think the whole debacle is kind of funny.
