She is last seen at Blasiusstraat 34, Amsterdam Oost
She is a 4kg tabby cat with white lower body and black - brown tabby stripes covering from her head all the way to her tail. What is special about her:
Very long tail
A heart-shaped spot on her right thigh
A white stroke on her brown back
She is very shy, scared of people, cautious, and not vocal at all. Her hissing is just a wide-opened mouth at best. She doesn’t know her name and doesn’t wear a collar.
If anyone sees her around Wibautstraat, Roeterseiland, Oosterpark, de Pijp, Amstelstation, or along Amstel river, please send a picture and location to my whatsapp +31 6 8704 2818
Any lead means a lot to me 🥹🥹
Thank you all so much in advance! ♥️♥️
Hi, fellow Amsterdammers!
How do you all feel about how dirty Amsterdam has become? It’s honestly something that drives me insane. There is trash everywhere, on the sidewalks, amongst the bushes and leaves, that doesn’t get cleaned for weeks or ever. I only see the trash-collecting cars cleaning the large streets, but there is literally no one sweeping the sidewalks.
How is something like this possible in a major European capital? I’m from a country that has a fraction of the money the NL has, and our streets are so clean compared to here.
In the past, I used to think that Southern Europe has a trash problem, but every time I go to Italy, Spain or Greece, I realise that it’s much cleaner there than here, where we pay such high taxes on everything, including a separate trash tax.
I love the city so much, it breaks my heart to see it like this.

Hello everyone, some time ago i visited your beautiful country for three short days and i absolutely loved every second there. People who i visited showed me hospitality that i’ve never received before, i still miss it often. The Netherlands is a very beautiful country, full of beautiful landscapes and also very pretty architecture, i absolutely love your neighbourhoods with cozy houses, they are so nice (also amazing trains and public transport overall!!!). I enjoyed your cuisine aswell. For me, a Polish patriot, the most important part of the trip was of course going to Breda, a very Polish city that was liberated from nazi-german reptiles by our soldiers, led by a badass general Stanisław Maczek (who lived to the age of 102 and is buried in Breda, as he requested). The amount of appreciation Breda, and your country overall shows us, left me moved nearly to tears. I absolutely loved every single monument dedicated to the Polish liberators of Breda. When i went to the Polish …
Hello everyone,
As the title says, someone hit our car from the back while it was parked in the public parking lot and they left a note with their phone and license plate number. The car is pretty damaged from the back so it will require repairs for sure.
We called the number and the man said that we can go to him to fill out a form. We agreed to talk again later to pick a time to go over and fill out said form.
Do you have any advice on the best way to approach this? I know that insurance companies can be quite difficult to deal with and we want to insure that this damage is fixed with no costs to us since it was not our fault.
Im probably setting myself up to be trolled but I’ll take the chance. Lol. Ive been in the netherlands about 6 weeks and got a bike with saddlebags right away. It took a little bit of practice but I can ride well now and use it every day. Sometimes though the bags aren’t enough space so I ordered a basket for the back. 3 weeks later I still don’t have the basket so today I did this. It worked great and I made sure it’s securely attached. It’s even removable if I want to take it off. My teenager says it looks dumb though. I don’t really care enough to never use it again, but maybe enough to take it off if I’m going on a date or something. Lol. What do you think?
I am wondeing if that normal in dutch society or was just my dutch gf family’s style.
She told me that as teenager (16) she was allowed to bring her boyfriend home, hang out in her room with him and have sex, with her parents being downstairs and absolutely knowing and being fine with it. She also said that the same was ok when she was visiting her bf parent’s house.
EDIT: Thank you so much, all of you, for so many comments. it was very helpful to read your experiences and realize that I was a bit judgmental of that experience shared by my ex and that the reasoning of that behaviour from her parents was not a lack of care but actually caring a lot more for the safety of their kids.
