I am the supervisor at the very real Baroness Hotel in Seattle, Washington.

We have noticed a massive surge in Google reviews for our hotel that are clearly referencing the game Deadlock (specifically around the service and the “ginger-haired doorman”).

While we understand this is meant as a community joke or in good fun, it is unfortunately having a severe, unintended impact on our actual business and livelihood.

Here is why this is hurting us:

The translation issue: During the summer, a large percentage of our guests are international travelers who do not speak English fluently. They rely heavily on translating our Google reviews to decide if they want to stay with us.
